Commissioner here. I'm so happy with how this turned out. All of it from the song to the title. I was so worried that it wouldn't work but Brandon and the artists pulled it off! I know Steven vs Invincible was a popular matchup, but I thought these two had a few more connections and a fight between them could make a better narrative. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy and thank you Brandon.

The funny thing is this is more of a close fight than Omniman vs Homelander

The fact that is kinda debatable is absolutely hilarious to me.

In the good ending, Omni-Man and Pink decide to settle their differences and beat the shit out of Homelander instead.

This matchup disproportionate target audiences aside (age wise) actually makes a lot of sense. The track sounds somewhat sad but also epic. Which considering the brutality of Invincible and the hope in Steven Universe makes sense thematically. Now to read over all the memes in the comment section.

As much as we all loved watching Homelander get destroyed, I feel like this would have been a much better matchup for Omni-Man, considering their similarities.

*Pink is sitting at the computer of her spaceship, pearl next to her. Suddenly, the doors to the room open, revealing Omniman. Pink is confused.* Pink: how did you get on this ship? Omniman: that doesnt matter. Take your ship, take your troops take all your technologies, and leave the planet. Now. Pink: im not doing that. You see, ive grown rather attached to this world and its... lesser lifeforms. By the time our plans are done, you'll have been dead for hundreds of years. Now, I'll have my pearl escort you out the door. *The pearl tries to pull omniman towards the door, but he stands strong* Omniman: you don't seem to understand... *in an instant, the pearl is decapitated, causing its body to poof away, leaving just the central pearl in Omniman's hand* Omniman: Earth isn't yours to conquer. *He shatters the gem before zooming forward to attack pink* FIGHT

I'm surprise you yet haven't done a Bardock vs Omni-Man track, but this is a great thing. Loving the dramatic Dubstep feel to it, right now.

I guess it depends on where you scale both of them. The only complication with scaling Pink Diamond is, "Do we scale her to Steven?" because HER gem is the source of his powers and any feats he does, she could potentially pull off.

Freaking Omni-Man VS a Steve Universe character is not something I expected to see before him VS Bardock but hey, as long as the tack's good I'm fine with it. As for the track itself... Well damn I'm at a loss after my first listen to this. There's so much in that song that really should *not* work together but that Brandon managed to somehow make amazing segments of that I honestly don't know where to start. As someone who doesn't know much of Steven Universe but knows that it's generally a more "lighthearted" series with tones of loss and going over said losses, it wasn't too surprising to hear a very calm start that had a very tragic tone to it. What *did* surprise me however was the complete break at 0:08 which of course befits Omni-Man as a brutal segment that holds a lot of energy. But something important to note is that contrary to Diabolical Invincible Me, the song is brutal but not "evil" in how it sounds. In DIM, it sounds like a bad guy's theme and it fully leans into this, reflecting both Nolan and Homelander's evil sides. While in this song it of course reflects Omni-Man's brutal side but it doesn't sound evil. The song's "neutral" in terms of emotion, reflecting Nolan's neutrality to his violence (something that is quite an important side of the character in Invincible too, at least in the series, as it's a very marking segment when Nolan finally showcases full emotions other than anger to finish the fight when he fights (or, well, absolutely brutalizes) his son) which helps show another side to what DIM represented, and that's something I really like with tracks using recurring characters: to see other sides that weren't explored before in characters. It also is an interesting thing to almost start the song with this segment as it showcases Omni-Man's personality as someone who doesn't mess around and wants to finish the fight right away, causing him to go all out right away. And *another* thing to note in that 0:08-0:27 segment is how, even if Omni-Man's motif is of course drowning out the rest of the song, the majestic piano motif that I'm gonna assume represents Pink Diamond (like I said, know nothing of Steven Universe so don't even know who that is) is still audible in the background of the song. This shows that, despite Omni-Man's start in complete overwhelming violence, his opponent is still hanging on and not being fully overwhelmed. After this we get a completely different tone at 0:28 as Nolan is supposedly stopped by his opponent one way or another, resulting in a much calmer segment of the song. I like to think that the break in the song is partly due to Omni-Man's sheer confusion at the fact that an enemy was able to resist a full assault from him, causing him to stop for a while. But after relistening to a few times to the song, I've noticed that up to the final act of the song at 3:16, the whole thing really seems like a "wavy sea" of sort in the song's pacing. By that I mean that the whole song up to the final act is punctuated by calm segments that slowly increase into powerful ones before slowly going back down into calmer ones. Taking the next part of the song as an example, we get a calm part that lasts up to 0:46 where it's then followed by a slightly more intense but still quite calm segment combining the percussions and violin before then transitioning after a quick break back into Omni-Man's motif that's really agressive at 1:12 and *then* right after this we go decrescendo into a less intense part that mixes both the powerful percussion and the violin before going back to the calm-ish mix of violin and percussion and a repeat of the cycle except that when we get this repeat the song kept some momentum and doesn't go fully calm this time. This is a great representation of pacing in a song to me as it allows to showcase so many sides of both characters while also reflecting the fact that the fight is increasing in scale as it goes on. Most importantly it seems to me as if the fight is not seen the same way by both fighters at all. On one side we get Nolan's side which is always more agressive and intense which makes it seem that he sees the fight as an actual battle to the death, reflecting his peoples' culture of fighting to the death to reach the top while on the other side we get Pink Diamond's side which is much calmer and more majestic, as if trying to deescalate the fight that Omni-Man wants to have. To me this is best represented (before the final act) at the 1:12-1:47 segments where we start it with Omni-Man's motif which I forgot to note but is interesting in of itself as it has notable ascending *and descending segments to it, showcasing Nolan's confusion with his people's culture that always strive for violence and his calmer normal life on Earth that wants him to just be a regular guy. But going back to the song's chronology, his motif is then cut short at 1:30 by a descending violin motif which perfectly represents that feeling of "de-escalation" as, while the violin in this is very firm and strict, being a fluid and not leaving a single gaps between the notes to showcase power behind it, it still is a descending motif which shows a real want to lower back the intensity of the fight with it. This whole segment to me again showcases an absolutely masterful songwriting by Brandon as it goes beyond simply mixing both franchises' OSTs and instead goes the full way to really make it seem like an interaction between both characters. And that's further showcased in the final act of the song starting at 3:16 where we change the tone of the song from a call and answer dynamic to a full on unison of both characters' motifs. This to me translates in a complete change of pace for both characters as we don't hear Omni-Man's motif nearly as heavily, showing that he indeed has slightly de-escalated during this fight and isn't showcasing as much violence towards his opponent, possibly either due to tiredness or due to newfound respect for them. But most importantly it translates into a change for Pink Diamond as we get a completely different motif from the last one that reached to de-escalate the song. This motif is much more intense and uplifted, showcasing that from this point on, she isn't trying to stop the fight anymore and realized that only one of their deaths will end this, causing a dramatic shift in the tone of her motifs even if the global spirit is still there to showcase that it's still the same character. This is then finalized at the climax at 3:53 where we get an absolutely grandiose segment. It doesn't gain in intensity nor does it gain in energy but it instead gives out so much depth via the use of various motifs heard throughout the song. Of course we hear Omni-Man's main motif at full power showing that he's putting his all into winning this fight but most importantly this time it doesn't drown out the song as instead we get the violin which is the dominant instrument, showing that his opponent too is putting everything they have to finish this fight. And I really like how the first bit of the climax up to 4:10 has the violin be in a forever increasing tone that is then broken down in a much more chaotic mix of motifs. This increase to me signals a character giving the best of themselves, but in this scenario I also think it means giving the best of themselves to *convince* themselves that what they're doing is right. They know deep down that trying to kill another is not good but they're pushing themselves to the brink as they convinced themselves that this opponent they're facing cannot be defeated othewise. And that's why the break into a much more chaotic mix of motifs is so powerful because it reuses a mix of the uplifting tones heard at 3:53 and the descending violin heard throughout the rest of the song which signals a state of confusion for the character that is starting to doubt themselves and feel regrets over their actions, even if they're still giving it their all to finish the fight. That's something that is also audible on Omni-Man's side of things altho more subtly as the violin is the primary instrument in the climax. His motif switches over at 4:10 too from something constant and brutal to something that is heard in bursts, almost like a heartbeat. But contrary to Pink Diamond's change where I think it's mostly a mental weakness showing, for Omni-Man it's a physical one as he's reaching the brink of his own abilities, his motif now sounding like the powerful drum of a heartbeat heard through one's ears when exhausted. It's still just as intense to showcase Nolan's resolve, but it's much less potent and in bursts to show that he's running out of energy too. To me this whole climax is an absolute wonder of songwriting because it showcases so much personality for both characters, creating a fight not so much between the two characters but a fight between themselves as Pink Diamond's motifs showcase self doubt and hesitancy to kill the opponent while Omni-Man's showcase a physical limit that he is soon to reach if he does not end the fight soon. This duality is something I legitimately cannot hearing in a single song so it's totally new to me and I love it. Overall this song is one that I didn't care about in the slightest when I saw it announced in the streams but I'm really glad I was wrong about because it's freaking masterful in every single way. It sounds great, manages to mix two franchises' OSTs that seemingly have nothing in common and most of all it has so much freaking depth and personality that it's an euphemism when I say it's a musical masterpiece. I never expected this track of all songs to produce such an extensive review out of me (seriously, I've been writing this for a literal hour by now) but I'm glad it did because it was extremely fun to listen to this song and write about it. Absolutely grandiose work with this.

I can see pink diamond first fighting as rose quartz but then turn into her true form later on in the fight.

The pun game is strong with this title in particular. Banger all around

This is a very objective analysis of the stats here... _Who be stronger?_ *Omniman* has smashed through the planet Viltrum and destroyed it with the help of Mark and Thadeus[Thadeus notes that they may die if they collide with the core stabilized, as it was currently being destabilized by a laser thingy, however, this was due to the heat of the core and not because they couldn't handle the force. They still also tanked the planet exploding in their faces and were in the literal middle of the explosion caused by ramming through it anyway. Later issues acknowledge the planet bust was caused by the three ramming into the world as well. The core being destabilized also would not have caused the planet bust, as it was noted as only temporary and it would revert shortly after]. And did take a dip in the sun for a while before the plasma caused the atomic bonds of his smart atoms to be ripped apart. He also should absolutely scale to I- *_blood splatter_* and Mean Supreme since he fights both directly, the latter on equal footing. Mark(along with Tick) sent a moon crashing into Mars, and Supreme destroyed a whole planet by also crashing into it in his fight against Khromium II(and then threw him into a star). And he could possibly scale to BattleBeast and Thragg's battle, which he claimed to be capable of tearing apart the planet they're on. Making planet level quite consistent across the series. There's also scaling to possible feats from Suprema(she's weaker than Supreme), who can allegedly "can sew together black holes" and "play kickball with a star". *Pink* should also scale directly to Steven in Pink state(for obvious reasons), who was stronger than everyone in his Kaiju stress state. Including Lapis, who lifted all of the Earth's water, and the Cluster, which could tear apart the entire planet. There's also scaling to the Diamond Corruption Blast, which has been calced to be 200 Ninatons(dwarf star level). Seen as how Pink was supposed to take part in the blast, and Kaiju Steven was also able to beat the Diamond Trio. Calcs I've found for the more planet-level feats for them seem to show that Pink's scaling to the Cluster is generally stronger than Omniman's feats, though, Supreme's feat of destroying the Khromium planet is likely closer. The star-level feats are more relative, and probably in Omniman’s favor. Suprema's feats could _probably_ be stronger than the Diamond Blast, but we just don't know the size of these black holes and stars to get any assumptions through of that. Both feats are also debatable when considering our visual showing of the Diamond Blast and Suprema scaling being crossovers with no feats in-series for Nolan to really support it(aside from them taking dips in a star). Though, Pink's star-level feat seems more applicable. _Who be zoomin?_ *Omniman's* pretty easily MFTL, with multiple feats that make this absolutely consistent. He's personally flown from Earth to Thraxa in a week, to which Thraxa is located in the Virgo supercluster(65 million lightyears away). Viltrumites in general are also stated to be capable of traversing the galaxy under their own power. And once again scaling to *_blood splatter_* -le, who's moved fast enough to seemingly cause stellar parallaxes multiple times, and by the end is stated to be capable of easily conquering the entire known universe(it’s pretty much impossible to interpret that in a way that wouldn’t make it MFTL+), this is also consistent with *_blood splatter_* beating Universa, who flew “vast spans of the cosmos” to Earth in a short timeframe. There are also other scaling feats from Supreme being able to fly across the Universe, and Suprema being able to cross galaxies incredibly quickly and search several billion stars in a couple hours. *Pink* should scale to Lapis going from Earth to Homeworld in an unspecified time frame through scaling to Pink state Steven. There are also minor feats of relativistic capacity like Steven dodging lasers, and Pearl piloting a ship through space and maneuvering around asteroids There is also potentially them being able to react to things while warping, which is shown to cross Steven through galactic distances in a very short time frame after the Diamonds sang that "Let Us Adore You" song and he warped back to earth... _why is Pink's ones so gosh darn short compared to Nola-_ Nolan is, _as everyone predicted,_ faster. This match-up is actually pretty interesting because Pink Diamond is stronger and more durable, but Omni-Man is much faster, so you could debate for either.

I would prefer "Corrupting an Empire" for the tittle but still cool! It captures very well that Electric and chaotic style of the Viltrumites and the orchestral and melodic aesthetic of the Gems

I never though i'd find a matchup like this that i never relized how badly i needed it. I think pink takes this, but not by much. All omni-man needs to do is land 1 clean blow on her gem itself to take this, her physical form may be super durible but her gem isnt (shown when amithyst hit a rock gem first that nearly killed her, and how the treat of white head banging into a piller gem first scared her and implied it would shatter her) however with her sheilds thats way easier said than done, speed omniman has, he can fly fast enough to lite the atmosphere on fire, and the gems always used warp pads to get distanses longer than state wide (with the farm they use them for anything out of town really) and with steven scaling she is still fast, with possible time slowing ablilities, along with beingable to block beams of light (crystal steven blocking whites eye lasers, witch being that gems exell in making light based constucts of their body, it's reasonable to assume that this laser was, in fact, light speed) giving pink an advantage in reaction time. Most of the matchup would basicly be between the equivilant of a wasp vs a tank (kinda) omniman doesnt have any known attacks that can bust pinks sheilds, and pink isnt fast enough to land any meaningfull blows herself. I think her best win con is to basicly pull a booster gold and bubble crush omniman, or land a clean strike with her sword that can cut through the entirety of him. But both of those in it of itself would be a hella challenge. And they both have a stupid amount of combat exp that i belive is a non factor (arguable that rose could a have an edge based on what kind of creatures they fight) they both have win cons that basicly turns this into a 1 stroke dual, since whats needed to kill the other is less than their output, on hit on pinks gem and she just doesnt fuckink exist anymore, and on well landed hit with her sword and omni is in peices, or just bubble crush, or both. I think pinks win con is just a bit more liable to happen, with abilities to alter vegitation with teirs, slow time, float (possibly fly with how adult steven was using it) sonic shout... oh wait, i just rememberes that. [Its useful but it seems like its more force than noise] constructs that can slow/trap, shapeshifting, her own dummy strangth, and a sheild thag can withstand omni's onslaught. I belive she has enough to either slow him enough for her to meet her win con, or tire him down enough. Not to meantion that it would take at least a goo couple of hit to her main body before she poofs, if he doesnt think to punch the glowing belly gem that it. I think this may have been the longest most thoughtout comment i ever made. Imma use it for my collage thesus

Ah yes, Mark vs Steven but thiccer. Anyway, I feel like Pink should maaaybe have it? But I’m not too sure, DB placed Omni-Man at Moon level so unless Pink has something to counter it she’s gonna get cracked.

I think this would ultimately come down to a battle of experience in which Omni-man would clear Pink. Despite her also living for thousands of years, she spent that time being a playful little sibling to the other diamonds. Even taking into account that both opponents would be out for blood, Nolan's entire society was based around being the strongest or being killed. Pink already had the luxury of being a diamond with her only incentive to change was to get back at the other diamonds for still treating her like a child. Admittedly I'm not 100% on Nolan's strength but I'm pretty sure he's physically stronger. It also brings to question if Pink would be using shields like Steven does in his pink-state. In regards to speed, Nolan would likely be able to blitz Pink unless we were scaling her to Steven's pink-state again in which he could even perceive time at a slowed rate. In the end it depends on if we're using tv show Nolan or the comics version as Nolan was notably hurt in his fight with The Guardians. I feel if Pink actually put the effort in she could defeat him. If we're going off the comics then Nolan would have a pretty diamond necklace to give his next pet.

Omni-Man VS Pink Diamond True monsters come from sources that you trusted… And these two show that… Or do they? Omni-Man Strength: Able to, with the help of Mark and Thadeus destroy planet Viltrum, destroy meteors the size of Texas, and create country sized explosions by flying, making him at least Multi-Continental. Speed: Flew to a planet in the Virgo Supercluster in a week, making him ~Massive FTL+ Haxs: He can transmit and hear others thoughts, can heal wounds that would usually leave large scars, and has insane reactive DNA Abilities: Insane durability, speed, and resistance to high heat/cold. Pink Diamond Strength: Should be equal to, if not stronger than white diamond and the other diamonds who created the corrupting light, and could scale to Steven’s Pure-Gem and Pink States due to them being the same gem (the same states that STOMPED White Diamond). Making her ~Country Level, probably higher Speed: Comparable to Pearl and Steven who can pilot fast the roaming eye and dodge light based attacks, making her ~Relativistic Haxs: Can regenerate her entire body from just her gem, her body will adapt to any conditions she’s put in, has a pocket reality in her gem, can possibly possess others, and can BFR things with her bubbles. Abilities: She can create Gemstones and Shards, reflect attacks, can damage light (somehow…), create shields, is an expert swordsman, create force fields, reflect attacks with her shield, and yell loud enough to shatter walls and harm gem constructs permanently. So who wins? Personally I think it’s quite obvious. While Pink Diamond may have plenty of haxs that COULD BFR or Incapacitate Omni-Man… Omni-Man is so much stronger and faster that it wouldn’t matter. It is perfectly in character and likely that Omniman would just instantly poof her in one swift move the second the fight starts and before pink could even react and then crush the gem she leaves behind. Leaving nothing of her left. Omni-man is efficient and INSANELY experienced, meaning that he probably wouldn’t leave an obvious gem lying around after the body of his enemy just disappeared. (He has a tendency to see and exploit weak points, see how he dealt with the guardian of the globe) Pink Diamond may’ve been uniquely powerful but against Omni-man’s sheer speed, experience, strength, and ruthless battle style, her chances were shattered.
