so.. i live in the UK.. the weather here is terrible especially this time of year. Regarding your first tip about the temp of resin, i have found that if i warm my resin in the bottles before starting my project it mixes and works really well. I tend to get a bowl of some sort and fill it half full of hot water, let it cool slightly, pop the bottles in the water for 15-20 mins and let them just sit, after the time i do tend to slowly tip the bottles upside down and back again and pop them in for a further 5-10 mins.. then take them out dry them down with a towel and proceed with the project. It really does work a charm.

Awesome tips. Thanks so much for this. Ive dried flowers with cat litter silica gel. Its chunky so you have to be delicate. But i need to get proper flower drying silica as my flowers fall to pieces. The petals that are left are still beautiful though. You are an inspiration, thank you for sharing all this.

Is the silica gel one time use? Or can you use one bag over and over again?
@Kimberlite66
@Kimberlite66 4 года назад
You can use over and over again. You will know its time to get new silica as it changes colour due to soaking up so much moisture.
@Lemu_with_a_shirt
@Lemu_with_a_shirt 4 года назад
Adding to the last reply; I've heard people say that when it has changed colour they microwave it, making it dry out again. Something else too, if you can't get silica gel (yet), or want to try it out, you can use washing powder. It will take longer, but it works the same way.
