Besides a 3050 and an old monitor that doesn't support 1080p, I have an i5 11400f and 8gb ram (single stick). The game basically does not run at all even at the lowest settings possible. Could the problem come from the ram?

I used to think the same thing, however, MK1 is solely for mk hardcore fans. The gameplay is not clunky, you just have to understand the timing and get it right. These are the exact things that I thought about the game when I bought it and regretted not getting street fighter 6. But after playing for almost a week, I am glad that its paying off. Its a good game. Talking about the fatal blows, sadly like in mk11 where fatal blows and fatalities where cutscenes, in MK1, fatal blows and fatalities are badically cinematic majorly 4k cinematic, thats why its capped on 30fps i guess and you would need a lot of ram and a decent processor to run it. I see it as a downgrade, it does break the immersion.
