As a Marlins fan Bruh, times get tough. but yeah, at the end of the season I am satisfied! not by a losing record, but by the effort the players put in. Hutton and Waltz embody that charisma every game ^-^
That's sun life stadium. Football stadium bro. Most of the "outfield seats" either arent available due to the way they convert the stadium, or just aren't desirable. Take that from a Marlins fan. Put into perspective that the Marlins don't get the kind of hype Yankees or Dodgers due, and you have a mountain of unused seats. Marlins- 17 years of existence when this was posted. yankees? at least a century. These days, 2014, Marlins are in a much better place. Sad to see the way Dan Uggla has turned out as of late.
Braves dropped him for tommy Lastella who was playing better and batting better. Giants signed a contract with him bc Marco Scutaro was injured, we did't even get a hit with the ten games with them. Giants sent him down to the lowest in minors for now.
Uggla made the mistake of leaving his wife for a porn star and expected everything to be peachy-keen. Porn star ended up leaving him for much of what he's worth, he invested heart into her. So the last couple years have utterly wrecked him as a ballplayer. I hope he recovers and gets better - hopefully ends up with the Marlins again ^-^ "And his name is Dan Uggla"
If you have a billboard of a car/truck out in the stands, and a player hits the billboard on a home run, the player should win whatever car/truck is on the billboard. :)
Reynolds used to hit absolute shots. Kind of reminds me of how far Stanton hits it now. He's one of those hitters who's average home run distance and speed off the bat was always very far and fast.
I know from experience hanging knuckleballs are the best to hit. Easy to identify, typically up in the zone, and slow. That's really the best pitch to hit IMO.
I hit a ball that went down the third base line, over the fence, crossed 6 lanes of traffic “by crosswalk of course” down the Westside Highway Through the Lincoln Tunnel “through the EZ Pass lane”, Onto 3West, then Over the River and Far Away!! And did I mention I was in the 3rd Grade. My Coaches Measured it at 16.9 miles
Nice collection, enjoyed every one, but... What about some vids of Encarnacion's chicken wing? Where is the love? And J.P. Arencibia's first pitch in the majors, sent bye-bye into the stands in left field. Okay, what has he done lately, but it was still a thing of beauty.
When I was in the second grade i hit a home run over the left field wall then it rolled on a golf cart path and ended up in a homeless persons shopping cart. We measured it at 1264 feet!
My favorite swings and stances (no specific order): Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Bonds, Adrian Beltre, Tino Martinez, Frank Thomas, Mark Big Mac McGuire (spell check!), Edgar Martinez, Edgar Renteria (spell check), me, Yasiel Puig
