Getting called out and having to show your face in front of national television after being embarrassed like that, can't be too good for someone's mental health in the long run.
The man in the background literally just keeps getting more invested as it goes on he goes from straight forward to a side turn sitting just staring probably baffled bamboozled flabbergasted
I guarantee you that CNN made him do this segment to keep his job, but probably demoted the hell out of him so he wont appear on TV for a few years. And Dana Bash, the host you can tell thoroughly enjoyed the segment of roasting her colleague. And I bet you she “clicks her mouse”, and the people on the Zoom call and the people that fired him and put him on leave masterbate. Everyone does, its human. I do and I aint ashamed of it, i used to do it in front of my ex-wife and she enjoyed it so much she started too, you know why? Because its human nature.
I don't know what's worse, the fact this guy was blasting rope while in a Zoom call or the fact *he agreed to do an interview where he discussed how he was fired for blasting rope in a Zoom call.*
Ngl, this guy's apology is fucking dope. Like, he's so honest with it I can't even blame him somehow. He accepted his mistake and took the L like a true champ.
I mean nah it’s weird to be caught jerking off and then talk about going to therapy and “reflecting” by writing and selling a book. Like no one actually gets that deep about it lol
Theory. Him going on tv and talking about the situation was the final link in the chain to his kink. This completed the circle. Fufilled his wildest dreams
This honestly wasn't that bad. Dude was pretty respectful and well put together during the interview and actually gave a proper apology without excuses. Dude just choked the chicken like the rest of us. He just happened to make the fatal mistake of doing it in front of people on camera.
@goggles789 Another act? Bro you're acting like he's some criminal mastermind who's duped the entire senate. Bro just rubbed one out and thought he turned his cam off
@@MasquedJustice and I’m not saying he’s a bad guy for what he did but his motives may possibly be more nefarious than he lets on. He gets the benefit of the doubt but the fact he could’ve waited shows he may have either a sex addiction or an exhibitionism fetish which in that case means he purposely sexually assaulted everyone on that call. No one wants to see his earthworm lol
I love how casually he answers the questions. I feel like this guy's done this before and this was like the 10th time he's done it and finally they were like "ok we need to fire him but let's punish him good first".
He was publicly humiliated and fired for doing something extremely embarrassing so I think it makes perfect sense hes in therapy for it hes probably filled with shame and guilt
@@BigBodyBiggolo try to imagine being a grown man who has a wife and kids and a nice respectful and public job and being so bored and impulsive you accidentally wip your meat out in front of your coworkers not only do you lose your respect and trust of your coworkers but your friends and family as well and now you are fired and its very public so getting another job will be more difficult... I really think if you are a normal person you would feel really shameful and guilty for being so stupid to ruin your life for something so stupid as a quick wank. :/
@@BigBodyBiggolo Nah because what kind of animal does that? I bet he got off on the thought of people finding out bc it makes no sense for a sane person to do this shit on a call/meeting. Imagine talking to a friend over the phone and you hear him jacking off 😂 don't even pretend you wouldn't feel awkward (unless you already had that kind of relationship in the first place)
It sounds like Charlie doesn't know what therapy is used for? It's not just to treat depression or trauma, and it definitely is not just for victims. Changing one's behavior absolutely falls under the purview of therapy, especially behavior like this.
Yeah usually I don’t she any qualms with this guy that this time I had to be like you don’t have to be a victim to go to therapy, he might just want to see how he can change his behavior
I’m pretty sure he replays this in his head every single night. Whether it’s a nice memory for him or a haunting embarrassment, I can’t tell you. edit: you bots should be ashamed of yourselves, violating the reply section like that.
@yep I think that therapy is a great tool to better oneself, and that people who are genuinely remorseful say that they’re in therapy to convey that. However, people who are NOT genuinely remorseful say it as well, just to get the heat off their back. I feel like you’re generalizing that corruption to all people, not just the ones that deserve it.
You have to say the magic words that appease people, even if it's not true. We live in a world where everyone demands false justice because, in reality, they just want a reason to put someone down and feel superior
Yeah. I mean he still has to acknowledge that it was uncomfortable and distressing to his peers - that he did something unprofessional, but it's wild that they're even talking about sex criminals.
@@themilkman2422 I think I'm gonna stop going to comments tbh, literally every video Charlie posts I full of these 2 bots, same accounts.... I look at replies and there's rarely real ones anymore
He definitely did it for the thrill. Got off to the idea that he shouldn’t be doing it and how bad he is for whipping it out on Zoom and everything but he wasn’t expecting to be caught, well unfortunately for him he was lol.
@@nore5888 I know, right? YT could do something about it if they weren't too busy nuking legit channels into oblivion and doing dumb things like removing the dislike button.
Look up the Hugh Grant interview with Jay Leno on the Tonight show, on YT. That's what she was referencing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vrJ2jc6qfzA.html
That would be a chad move, just doubling down on it. At that point, I'm pretty sure _The New Yorker_ would not only have to hire him back on, but also appoint him the new CFO, just for the bold brazenness of it.
Honestly he did the apology really well. No excuses, no rationalizing it, no dodging questions, actually says that he is sorry for what he did, etc. I feel like RU-vidrs should be taking notes on how to do a proper apology. He handled the interview about as well as possible given the situation. I just hope that whenever I screw up in life I have the ability to handle it like that.
@@chrissmith5713 obviously that is preferable. No one here is claiming that it isn’t, but we all screw up (maybe not to that extent though). I was just pointing out that the apology was pretty good, especially compared to most other public apologies.
This is every person's worst nightmare. The thought crosses your mind that you're live or being listened to. Or when you pee you wonder if you're actually asleep in class. The idea that it became real for this man and it's been televised is actually horrifying.
Exactly. Charlie obviously doesn't really know what hes talking about when it comes to addiction. Like everyone else he views masturbation and pornography as a good thing when in reality it's very unhealthy and addictive. Therapy is definitely recommended for this and it's good that this guy went
Modern psychiatric care instills a victimhood and learned helplessness complex that does more harm than good. I was in therapy for 6 years. All I ever learned was what shitty, ineffective meds were needed to fuel the industry’s pockets.
@@charlieorr3048 I think there is a benefit to being able to gain an outer perspective on situation if you don't have anyone in your life to talk about the things with, but I agree with you. Psilocybin mushrooms are the greatest source of therapy and growth in my life.
I honestly don't know why Charlie is confused on why he took therapy Imagine showing your friends and coworkers your shmeat and having it be on the news mortifying shit
"Why are you in therapy?" To get help, maybe? Charlie then breaks down what's possibly mentally wrong with this guy that could explain it. For once I hate Charlie's take here. The guy clearly needed help or he could reoffend
@@alilweeb7684 see that's my point. He was in his own home. He was alone in his office. _This wasn't malicious in any way._ Is it weird, yeah kinda...... but this isn't Louis CK or Don lemon kind of weird.
@@Battlefox64_RL I actually kind of understand that, but that's like a mistake a teenager or young adult would make, not an older Middle aged guy that's worked in media his whole life.
Not as embarrassing as Prince Andrew's interview about Epstein. Or that guy that went skydiving and pooped himself in front of his entire family and cried.
He would get therapy not because he’s the victim, but to correct whatever would make him feel it was appropriate to jerk it in the zoom call. You don’t need to have trauma to get therapy, you could be the perpetrator and get therapy to understand why you did what you did and prevent you from doing it again.
It's because he has made it to where he doesn't react to the whole video on stream, because he changed his content on YT night. I know, I'm not a bot lol.
@@snack_bar2474 have you not watched the new RU-vid Nights? He did react to this full video. Also, the only thing he changed is that he will ask for permission to watch videos on stream unless it's from something like the news or trailers and shit like that.
There are moments where im like, "eehhhh hes talking and hes still at the begining of the video" but then realise the actual video is already halfway done. Very good
It’s because toobin thought the camera was off and it was during a break in the meeting. Charlie doesn’t doesn’t think he needed it because he’s not the victim. But yeah maybe there’s a sex addiction thing to talk through and he might also need therapy to deal with the repercussions of his actions too. He seems to have handled it okay though.
even if you aren't the "victim", therapy is still needed in many cases. someone who hurts other people needs therapy too to try and get the help they need.
you mean it's every morons worst nightmare. also, I have zero sympathy for creeps that j/o in the middle of their workday. these are the same dudes that j/o in their office at work and get creepy with females at their job. obvious life lesson: do private things in private during private times. don't do private things in front of a camera in the middle of your workday.
I genuinely don’t think Jeff Toobin knew he was still on the call. Imagine beating your meat during a break in the comfort of your own home and all of your colleagues witnessing it, and then having it ruin your entire life and reputation. Poor dude.
If he's telling the truth then I do feel bad for him, I thought there'd be more sympathy here for him. I feel like if he didn't work for a pretty universally hated company then people wouldn't be as hard on him, although I know nothing about the guy
@@michaelwilkins1664 sharing the same thoughts. The woman definitely gave off "I want you to be fired, but since I dont have that power, I'll tell everyone about it live" -vibes aswell
Gotta give the guy props, he knew what to say in that interview. I mean, probably shouldn't have been in an interview, but he was _ready._ Smooth as the juice he squeezed.
