Very impressive!! These m56s are slept on big time. The v8s can take so much abuse and with bolt-ons can make some nasty power. Injectors and fuel pump, bigger intake and throttle body on some corn juice, you're making closer to 500whp. And then you slap a supercharger on, you got an Infiniti Hellcat
@@luisvega333cap, if that’s the case then why can you supercharge and turbo the g35s, older g37s and the 3.7 q50. It’s the torque that does the damage to engines not HP, most people have to upgrade the transmission on Infinitis when going forced induction.
Dam thats close to 500hp at the crank. Beast mode! Nice numbers, probably could hit 500 to the wheels if you were able to run straight pipes, larger throttle body and intake pipe with a monster cone. Adjustable cam gear on intake and exhaust side plus oversized valves and headwork/porting.
@@yaboirico5221 i had a 91 LS400... Talk about ahead of it's time... That was a VIP for sure!! I wanted a 96 cause of the updated cosmetics but couldn't afford 1 at the time.. Such a nice car
I wanted a M56/Q70 but i believe the FX50 unique 5.0 can handle boost and abuse since its already a racing V8 but have a special place in my heart for the 5.6's
@@TheHoggman Also let's collaborate one day, most of my cars have been infinities LOL. Certainly will come down to Arizona one day, let's keep in touch.
@@UniversalPerformanceEnthusiast Yeah man for sure! I'm still pretty new to all of this and finding time to edit content. I'm sure the more I do the better I'll get.
Couple questions bud. Do the PPE Engineering headers come with the highflow cats? And if they dont, which highflow cats are you using? And what are your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times after the mods and tune?
@@TheHoggman just got an m56S and looking to do well... the few mods that you actually can do. Prolly won't get the headers right away. Already have the stillen axelback. Should my first move be to remove the secondary cats and replace the y with an x pipe? Then what about the hps intake tubes? Those really make a difference? Then I'll go uprev?
@@JoshEwin i have a 56x too! any advice for mods? im thinking of doing similar exhaust work too! where can i find the HPS intake tubes? are they long CAI tubes or are they OEM size?
Is the number WHP? Can you post a dyno sheet so I can look into the RPMs. Or DM it to me? I plan on buying the M56s and might want to DAP tune mine. Dap on the Tundra is amazing. UpRev'd my M45 with cat delete back, gears, and I wasn't really impressed with the tune... Thank you for making M56 vids!
Have you had your engine replaced yet or suffered the rod knock that seems to plague the VQ45 engine despite meticulously following the service intervals to the wire...am thinking of jumping into the M45 game like an 09S low mileage
My 2011 was making 424 hp and torque was in the 430s at the wheels. Custom exhaust changes, HPS intake tubes, K&Ns, and Uprev tuned by me. Went 12.2 @ 112 in the 1/4 on a 2.2s 60'. Car had an easy 11 second pass in it if I had put it on drag radials.
Great question - it uses a VK50VD engine. Very similar to the VK56VD but different. I don't know how much different though. If anyone has one in AZ I'd love to throw it on the lift and take a look at it.
I got them from EBay and made a post about it on NicoClub forums. I don't think there was a poster increase but maybe there was? They are functionally the same as the HPS intake tubes and they showed an 8hp increase.
vct mra not sure - since it's not turbo I'm not sure it'd be worth it. Throw some boost at it and heck yeah, huge difference. Probably 10hp on an NA engine, 50-60hp on boosted.
Question: how did you get yours tuned? Did they use uprev or a different tuning platform? If you could link me to it that’d be great because I’m trying to get mine tuned and the guys are making it very difficult… I’ve already been waiting 3 months on them and they’re saying I’m gonna have to wait 3 more months and pay uprev $200 to transfer my rom files over… and I’m jsug trying to get it down quicker. So I’d you could lmk how you did it that’d be great. Thanks
Last I heard Uprev had stopped supporting tuning for the M56 platform. That was a while back and I haven't looked more into it so it may have changed, but I'm not sure. Only other tuning platform that would work is HPTuners but I haven't heard much about anyone tuning with it yet. I'd contact Admin Tuning, Moncef can help with UpRev questions, but I'm not sure about HPTuners.
@@TheHoggman thanks for the response, I decided to go ahead and just pay them the money and suffer for 3 months til they get me the tune... but in the mean time, do you think the catch cans are helpful, becuase Im thinking I want to install some, but I cant seem to find any for the M56, so if you wouldnt mine, could you lmk where you got yours from, assuming theyre still around.
@@TheHoggman my 2011 made 422/434 at the tires with tires on it, not an inflated hub dyno. Your torque is way lower than I would expect. Hell my VK56DE 2012 Titan made 398 rwtq on a Mustang dyno no less with an airaid intake, magnaflow muffler and hypertech programmer.
@@TheHoggman When I had the car it had HPS hoses, K&Ns, modified air boxes, the secondary (!) Resonators deleted and 2.5" custom exhaust with magnapack race mufflers and a 2.5" x-pipe. Uprev tuned by me. Mine made 378 hp and 390 tq stock and 390 hp and 410 tq with K&Ns, moded air boxes, Nismo 144F thermostat and a 2* timing bump. It also ran a 12.2 @ 112 on a 2.3s 60' time, ZERO traction but it ran out the back door like crazy.
Haha it makes way more than that. The hub dyno wasn't showing torque correctly. I just took my car 1/4mi racing and I ran a 12.5 @ 113mph so this thing is chooching pretty good. Horsepower calculator says I'm sitting at 460whp 👍🏽🤘🏽
@@gaugebuseck3375 Yeah the torque doesn't read right on those Hub Dynos. I can say it is extremely torquey down low. Shreds the 275 width tires with ease up through 3rd
