So if you were to swap in the m37 diff, would you get better acceleration even though it’s not VLSD? I’m looking at getting an m56 soon and wanting to do this mod. All I really care about is a little acceleration boost. Is it worth it to do the m37 diff rather than the g37?
Sounds great always wanted to do that to my q45 but I get my self in enough trouble as is. By the way just letting you no not talking smack but straight pipe is actually no muffler. This car with an alluminium block the crazy multi port adjustable intake manifold and titanium valves it has would just sound nuts!
I am no professional but it's my understanding that mufflers help create the necessary back pressure to the engine which helps the engine in creating torque output. When messing with your exhaust system the consequences are not only your emissions but your vehicles performance as well.
Can you do a video about the cold air intake you mentioned, and also the aftermarket oil cooler you mentioned? Is that extending the life of the oil between changes. I also have seen people talk about a catch can for oil blow by - have you done this? My understanding is the 5.6 consumes oil because of the direct injection and this is a solution some have suggested
I like the mods you're doing but it would be great if you showed the actual work involved instead of editing to the finished product. Like the hood strut on the drivers side. And the cut you did on the dri ers rear dust shield.
I'll keep that in mind for future vids - some of the work I do I have a timeline to get things done by, and recording videos of it makes it take 2-3 times longer than not videoing them
I can understand that. And I understand that it also takes up your time and that, for the most part, you do it for free. And for that, I and many others, are grateful.
@TheHoggman Ohhh..One question. Im looking to put the 10spoke GTR wheels on my M56S. The set Im looking at has 305 on the rears and 295 on the fronts. My concern is, will those 295s rub. Im currently running 25mm spacers on my stock 20" sport wheels. The spacers gives it a nice aggressive look. The stocks are 245/30/20 all around Square
@@twisted62380 Fitment isn't really my strong suit. But use this calculator to give you an idea... www.willtheyfit.com it's what I use and is very accurate. If you're close, there's really only one way to know for sure and that's a test fit. I'm running a 275/40r20 on a 9.5" wheel 35 offset
You will need to run a catch can when you delete the pcv system. You will plug valve covers at the back and then run 2 hoses from the j pipes on the front of the intake valve covers to the catch can.
It's not just you but it's everybody why is it that nobody films the actual hard stuff You're like I got to cut that off and this off and that often then all of a sudden you come back and you're like woo okay everything's good there we go it's like show the process so we could see where you go out of with and how and and what and all that stuff I've never understood that nobody shows the actual process of doing things anymore it's just a video of look this is what it looks like before this is what I got to do and then after it's like okay it's done and then there's no process
nice dog!!. wow. send more pics now he is older. I live in the ORLANDO area and need a good mechanic for the FX35. do u know of any in FL? Or do you know what differential bushing i can use on this 2009 suv? a reply will be appreciated. Send pic on duece.
Check with Z1 or Concept Z or specialty Z - they should be able to help with the bushing. And I don't know how to add a pic, but I'll be sure to include him in the next video 👍🏽👍🏽
I just got PPE's full M56 exhaust, but I noticed the headers have a different bolt pattern than the stock manifolds. Are there holes already drilled into the block so I can just move my studs?
Awesome! And I'm not sure - I'd contact PPE and see what they say but I'm pretty sure there are bolt/stud provisions in the head for them to bolt on. I didn't install the headers, PPE did as they used my car to prototype the headers for our car.
Hate to reply late, but I just installed the catback portion of the PPE exhaust. Only issue I have is a drone around 2k RPM. Did you ever have this issue?
Yes I got new axles from Rock Auto. They were pretty reasonable for price and was a no brainer to make the swap happen. Check my thread on NicoClub for part numbers of what I ended up getting. forums.nicoclub.com/post6805114.html?hilit=Axle#p6805114
