In canon the Klingon disruptor weakened with distance like the Romulan plasma torpedo's. So the further back you are the less effective disruptor fire is. That's why the most common style Klingon attack is to run in firing everything, pass by and circle around letting weapons and shields recover then re attack. I should think a ship like this, which would be hugely resource intensive, and pride intensive, might have with an entire battle group as escorts to protect it (and offer the Borg other targets). Perhaps a Vorcha and Kvort Class as its cruiser squadron, and four BoPs as its attack wing.

Has there been verified Hirogen Warp Plasma Cannon/Catapult from their hunter to larger ships used in Bridge Commander? Similar to Romulan Plasma Torpedoes but accelerated towards a target like an Isokinetic Cannon. It's mentioned in the game specs for the ST Bridge Commander&Armada but haven't seen it used in online game samples. The Hirogen ships actually use their warp coils to accelerate plasma that would typically be used for warp propulsion and be catapulted towards their target. The front of the warp nacelle is not used a bussard collector but as a a torpedo port. Instead of going to warp, the multiple warp plasma charge inside each coils are confined like a plasma torpedoes and a burst of several warp plasma gets shot at a target near lightspeed. It can also be collated instead of multiple warp plasma bursts, it's a long beam that's sent towards the target. It's very inefficient use of warp plasma but very effective in hammering down a shielded target like a borg ship which no shield adaptation other than multi-layered shields can counter it. Borg shields won't work as each plasma burst has a different containment frequency as it's not tuned plasma energy. Also the plasma could be tetryon as the Hirogen are known to use tetryon plasma on their larger ships. So the smaller hunter ships have it on their warp nacelles as slow and light weapon compared to their larger ships which have dedicated warp nacelles that specifically operates as a warp plasma cannon. So if you see a separate pair set of warp nacelles on a Hirogen ship, it's actually a warp plasma cannon/catapult. Damage against enemy ships is equivalent to a Romulan Plasma Torpedo but smaller footprint and faster rate of fire but shorter range unless it's those longer single beam bursts. So if a Federation ship is to adapt the tech, it would be like using a smaller sized ship's nacelles being attached to the ships' hull that can fire forward and backward too. So a medium ship would use a smaller ship's nacelles, while a smaller ship would use a shuttle/runabout sized warp nacelles as a warp plasma cannon/catapult.

How can disruptor bolts change course mid flight? Also, this game never gives the Borg their most famous ability: to adapt. Realistically the borg would adapt to those disruptors after several shots.

Borg torpedoes are very accurate nit like this.

Only decent in a straight line is all. Surely borg would adopt faster against the same weapon... youd think it would have breaching pods or something to ram it with like the defiant. A weapon of last resort.

You need to slow down on your attack run to get more time to fire at it before you get too close, you're going to get hit either way, so you should maximise your time firing.

Fortune favors the bold.... you play against a Cube like a 10yr old boy against a 5 yr old in 1 v 1 basketball... try dogfighting a cube hit hard and fast.... Star Trek First Contact.. close in and torpedo more potential for damage... farther away and torpedo and disrupters don't have the uumph to do much damage, IMO
