This band is the expresion of the Prog Rock second wave. They learned all the intricacies of the classic Prog and took the torch to the next level. Quality at their best. All their albums are classic. Thanks MA.
I’m 57 and grew up listening the Masters of progressive rock, but this band... Oh my God!!, it mates me resemble those glorious days !!. I’ve just discovered them and fall in love immediately. The very best I’ve heard in the last 30 years.
I’m 52 and grew up with Pink Floyd, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Mike Oldfield and Clannad. Can’t believe I’ve only discovered Mostly Autumn now! Going to check out all their albums!
... and still almost unknown. Even some longyeared friends of Progressive Rock don't know about them. I discovered them for myself only 7 or 8 years ago. There's so much brilliant music to discover beyond the favourites of the masses.
@@timedwards9654 Not quite true,One Stoned Snowman was a band which Bryan josh formed which did Floyd covers ,but Mostly Autumn was a separate follow on with different members which Bry put together after he wrote the songs for For All We Shared.
I guess this beautiful song is one of the best performances by Mostly Autumn. Great, great band! It's a must have and love album. Greetings to all rock lovers around the world from Mexico!! Peace and love for all the people in this wonderful world!!
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! I just stumbled over Mostly Autumn in my weekly mix on spotify and now I am listening for hours. First thought I am hearing some unknown Pink Floys project or so. In fact David Gilmour is th e only one so far who gave me goosebumps from the very first note and finally seeing (and hearing!!!) him live for the first time a couple of years ago brought me to tears in some moments. Today I discovered a gem. So, even in the current time life can´t be that bad after all. Thank you. Oh and listening for hours there hasn´t been one song that did not touch me! This happens very, very rarely.
What a great sound! I was so moved by this. You know when you come across something by chance and it just takes you away somewhere else? Well that's what just happened here. Wonderful!!
Evergreen was the start of my journey with MA. If you love good music and excellent music players there is no way you can't listen their songs. Questionning eyes is simply exceptionnal. In one word : j'adore !
Es ist gut so, dass eine Art von Musik nicht für Mob ist. Es wäre unmöglich, dass so viele Menschen auf einmal die Tiefe den Klang nachvollziehen können.
Another ..Gem..great song..love 'Olivia's..' voice..Just love her singing with such soul, depth and passion...like 'Lara Fabian' Bryan's guitar..??..blows me away
Ce n'est hélas pas le genre de musique que nos médias nous imposent . Le rock progressif a pourtant de très grands groupes qui , comme vous le dites , mériteraient d'être connus .
Gary, I'm sure they would be much bigger had they sold out and gone with a record label. They'd have got the promotions, POS etc that goes with it. Being totally independent unfortunately means they have to mainly rely on word of mouth. It's scandalous how they aren't bigger but, sadly, integrity has a price! :(
True but sad. It seems kinda bizarre to see and hear such masters on stage and to see only such a small audience in front of them. They should fill whole football-Stadions.
Fantastic Band. Floyd meets Folk, on tour with Blackmores Night 15 years ago. Ex singer Heather Findlay was ex wife of former singer Fish from Marillion. i am proud, they still alive in this fucking biz. Music with Soul.
Distant Train reminds me of a Golden Chariot carrying a wounded Archangel through the flames of hell and there's absolutely NOTHING that can stop it as it races for Heavens gates.
I loved this band ever since I found Heather in an Ayreon project (The Human Equation) about ten years ago. They are great and unique. By the way, if anyone posts the lyrics I would be greatful (english is not my first language so it's kind of difficult for me to understand by ear only)
Although I would love to see this band more successful I think the music would suffer. They are way better off with their own music without someone interfering in this beautiful stuff
