I like this guys videos but on his site a 6950 xt and a 13700k is like 3,200 i have a computer those specs and it costed 1,800. Like yeah i know building fees and what not but like Damn a extra 1,000 dollars just for building. And thats not even including tax and shipping.
Nah, custom water cooling, with custom waterbraket for the gpu as well, x670 mainboard and 128 gigs of ram can indeed cost 2.6k. The 3060 would be very questionable in this case, but it wouldn't be a rip off. Just a bad choice of components...
@@ClickHere4Naruto how about currency? It's not just the US who have "dollars" as their currency This is the exact reason why people shouldn't make judgements on face value, everything has context
@@bbbblllack If you check their websites you can see that their prices are still insanely high. I would spend 1k more on the same pc that I have if I had bought it there. They have some interesting shorts though.
Edit: I've been made aware that this is in Canadian dollars, not USD, and that this was last year. I still don't think it's a good deal by any means but not as egregious considering prices during late 2021/early 2022
@@LunardH bro don't you hear at the start of the video he said last year which means that guy probably buys the pc when the gpu prices are high so i think that's why his total is that high
Bro you are charging 2 grand for a mid range machine. 7 series cpus don't go over 400 and a 3060 can be had for about 400. Add on a $100 case, 250 for the mobo, $160 for top teir ram, let's be generous and say he wanted a 2tb m.2 (150) all this comes out to $1,360. Half what you charged him. Also keep in mind every part that I filled in (as you conviently didnt list them) is maxed out for this rig (besides the mobo). This is a borderline scam.
the issue is that the rest of the charge comes from building it that’s 700 bucks of reliable labor. this is the same as if you went to get your car repaired at the mechanic. labor isn’t free, but doing it yourself makes the total cheaper
That’s a rip off too considering a 3070ti can be bought second hand under 400$ your pc cost under 1k today. This customer most likely bought his pc during the graphic card shortage 1-2 years ago when everyone was buying 3060s and reselling them for 800-1000$
@Lostsouls96 i don't buy 2nd hand computer components. Of course i could have gotten things cheaper if i bought them used. Everything in my pc was brand new
That's in Canadian dollars. Converted to USD (which is about $1970 USD), it'd be about $150 more than what I would charge for a similar build out of my shop.
Well not necessarily a free upgrade because the guy in a way paid for it when he paid the rest. If you wanted a free upgrade he could just paid for it and you wouldn't known that the previous sale was incorrect
I am always catching these moments towards me. Honesty in its own is a nice reward even if it does cost a bit extra. Integrity builds a relationship with the people you talk to.
Your company's standard for handling customer interaction is very nice, it's appreciated enough if I ever decide I can't build my own PC I'll come to you guys above anyone else
He’s getting lifetime warranty and %20 discount on his next purchase from us if he’s that honorable of a person. It costs nothing being kind, honest and mindful.
I think he did the right thing, it has happened to me (not with such a large amount) but I ended up paying again on more than one occasion. On the other hand I was scammed on Ebay, I never received the merchandise and the customer service closed the case without even reading my case (of course I have not bought from there again)
I never understand how the prices are so high for these parts. I've seen gaming PCs go for 7k and it's mind boggling someone pays that much for a PC I can build for 3k. 2.6 for a 3060 is crazy as well but I do know someone who paid 2700 for a 6700xt gaming PC in the shortage.
