HJCF0520 Acutally, believe it or not, they specialist/technician at Motorola did it for me for free. However, I am not sure how much it normally costs per radio to program them. Yes, I have heard of an amateur radio. They are pretty cool!

I’m not really sure to be honest. These radios already had the PTT tone when I got them used. You are able to disable it through software programming though. But some people like it, like myself.

You know, that is a good question. I am not sure to be honest with you. I have been really busy lately, that is why I have not had much time for videos lately. Sorry if my lack of uploads is bothersome. But I am just busy. Hopefully I will find the time to do it. :)

They need programming with a computer the channel on it is either a reciever only channel or needs a channel programmed into them.

Well said. You are exactly right. Thank you for understanding that encryption is NOT illegal the way I am using it for my hobbies. The only time it would be illegal is if you were using it on an unauthorized frequency like firemen, police, FBI, Government agencies, U.S. Coastguard, and stuff like that. Unfortunately, there are still those few people out there that just don't get it. ;)

You know, I am not really sure. I guess there are people that figure out ways to hack the encryption to get into them, there might be people that have figured out ways to crack the encryption keys/codes, etc. (That is just my guess though)

Hi! There is really no such thing as "unlocking" enhanced privacy/encryption. You have to program it using the MotoTRBO customer programming software. To own the software, you will need a special authorization license. Once you have a license, then, you have to apply for the software through Motorola. If you qualify and agree to the rules/regulations/policies/etc. Motorola will sell you the software. If you end up getting the software. It will probably cost you around $350. I was going to buy the software to put the enhanced privacy on my radios. But I figured I not get it right now because I don't want to spend that kind of money and get minimal use out of it. (If you know what I mean). There is really no way to get the software without paying for it. If your radios are updated (using the software by a Motorola dealer or something) then the enhanced privacy encryption is automatically free to program. (I think, don't quote me on that though). I am not sure exactly how to do the programming itself because I had a Motorola technician in my area do it for me. I hope I answered your questions! Good luck with your radios and everything! ;) :)

I got the program you're talking about :D however the option to enable enhanced privacy is not there so I guess you're right and the only way is to pay for it through some IT guy who does motorolas.. but thank you very much still :) i wish you a god motorolling in the future buddy

@@loveSc7 I'm 5 years late but I don't believe DP1400 are capable of doing Enhanced privacy. I believe some versions of them support basic privacy

Very unpredictable. Probably not for awhile. My panel and all of my alarms are currently down as of right now. Plus, I have just been really busy with activities and things going on in my own life. :/

They are TAKEN down temporarily. I apologize, I did not make that very clear. They are working just fine, I just wanted to take a break for a bit.
