So once you mount your power supply with the stand-off screws and the pedal on top with the thumb screw mount and sticky pad, you’re fucked unless you rip the pedal\al off of the mounting pad…since both sets of screws are under the pedal or supply with zero aces to either.
Do the hex extenders feel stable? Seems like having the power supply so far from the board would allow it to rock back and forth in transit and come unscrewed or break a screw..
You can get them from one of our dealers but they'll probably have to order them since none of them are stocking these. Which power supply model have you got..? Which version..?
I plan to buy a DC10 for my Temple Board Duo 17 and was very happy to find this video. However, just like Logan, I cannot find anywhere that carry these stand-offs. Even the CIOKS website has no link/info on these stand-offs.
Hi Logan. Thanks for the reply. In the meanwhile, I have discovered the mounting brackets made by Temple Audio that are attached on the underside of the pedal board for more stability and space for more pedals or power supplies. This also means the power supply does not contact the pedalboard surface at all. I think I will go this route.
Just bought a DC 10. There are no standoff screws for my Temple pedalboard. Three stupid screws that I have to order from Poland. Why do you not simply supply those as you do with the other “link” units? Stupid as hell!!! There is not one good reason not to supply those! How frustrating for the customer. Extremely disappointed!!!!!!!
F*CK...I just bought a DC10 v1.0 yesterday used and didn't know the version until now. It came with some sort of mounting plate and no manual. It seems I'm left with zipties and dual lock, or bolting it on with old skateboard parts or something. The online manual is for version 1.2, vaguely referring to a 'mounting plate for temple boards' and nothing more...I can't find ANY material referencing cioks+Temple boards before 2017! Several videos are about pedaltrain, but I can't see anything for v1.0 and Temple boards. It's like I'm in limbo with three tiny short countersunk screws and a plate that's mocking my sense of "buyer beware". Fuuuck me...
The mounting plate that was included has no large holes, and a total of 9 small holes. It looks like the pedaltrain plate but is not the same. I have absolutely NO idea how it orients to my Trio21, nor how these tiny screws are going to hold the mass. I can't even find a picture of it on google images. :0(
searching "mounting plate cioks 9-hole" gets nothing on google. the site only has written descriptions and no diagrams. A cold-water-to-the-face introduction to 'the best pedalboard PSUs in the world'...my advice steer is to clear of used PSUs as the whole stupid situation is precarious enough. Musicians are not electronics engineers, nor carpenters. A company that implements this basic understanding into every product - carefully - can be worth over a billion dollars. (see: Roland)
It took me a while to ziptie with wiring and the mystery mounting plate. I also opened up the DC10 chassis to thread ZIP-ties through to avoid using the plate altogether, but the result is awkward. But it can be done DIY with no clues online.
