I like it and they did a great job! I have a spare tire/tailgate on my old F-250 made by Tiregate many years ago and still works like new, the tire base-plate is round so that there are no sharp edges. My Ford F450 build is slow, I'm still waiting for 10-lug 20" dually wheels for 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers but I may just keep my 19.5" wheels and go with 35" Toyo tires and save almost $4K on wheels. I have a Northern-Lite truck camper and my F-450 is designed for long distance travel and beach driving. I like the Ram 5500 but they are harder to find locally so I am going with a Chevrolet 5500 medium duty truck which is a monster straight from the factory so I won't need to do a lot of modifications.
The flat bed looks great and clean, I can't wait to see the camper on top and everything in place, don't forget to rearrange the number plate !!!. Just a question, wouldn't be a problem having that piece of metal behind the tyre sticking out?. I admire your positive attitude even though you seem to have all these challenges, keep up the great work and inspiring many of us !!!.
Hello, we have a 2022 Ram 5500 with a CM flatbed and on our way to Oregon next week to pick up 2022 Eagle Cap 1165 TC. We were wondering if we could speak to you over the phone? We need to have a spare tire setup similar to yours. Can you please share the name of the place where you had the spare tire setup installed?
OK ... you have a 9 foot bed (I think), but the HOST Mammoth is 11.5 feet long. Your tire is right against the bed. Won't the tire and camper interfere with each other?
