MPLS Designs: Transmission gear selector switch design changes are not always uniform. 

Transmission gear selector switches have changed constantly. Regardless of the name (Park - Neutral, MLPS, DTR, IMS, etc.) many changes transcend switch configuration or bolt design. Upgrades can involve the electrical pin count which results in confusion by the technician. It is important to know if a pin count changes, why and will it interchange on the unit. If needed, always refer to electrical schematics.
