Here it is then. Flaviana’s little review of the Fiat 500e. Suffice to say she’s not a fan: too small; too expensive she says.
I love it. My full review, complete with loads of detail and stats, will come soon so, if you’re a Fiat 500e fan, don’t be disheartened. I love it!

That’s a good point! When I ordered it, I didn’t think any other models would be coming any time soon. I was quite surprised they all started arriving much the same time! I’ll go through the specs of each in my review.

I am hearing the price of the top of the range 500e being quoted as “ expensive “ but not seeing it compared in spec terms to other EVs of similar price.

I can vouch for the lack of drinking in Italy. When i worked in Ivrea, i went out with the Italian team of 7 and we shared 1 bottle of red wine and there was still some left in the bottle when we had finished eating. :)

Great video, yes people prefer Flaviana being in the videos, love the Italian frankness. The video does show that buying a car from a screen (online) isn't as good as seeing it for real, especially seeing the colours for real. Yes, small EVs are too expensive.

Great video, great insight about the back seat belt socket, and also, my uncle used to drive in front the police the same way, and my father in law even has a small piece of metal just insert the front seat belt socket, so no warning noise. God bless their free spirits :)

Absolutely brilliant. Mrs EV isn’t wrong in many of her observations, but I just love my Red! I can overlook the quirks, but that’s just because I love my 500 so much. It makes me smile every time I open the drivers door and for me that’s enough 😄

Rich people have also the right to drive small cars. They even should be encouraged to do so, instead of protruding/polluting/stinking SUVs. If we lived in the best of possible worlds, la Signora EV would have tried the Honda e and overcome her prejudice against small cars (and rich people).

Re: Italian drivers. We in Croatia are not the most sedate, rule abiding drivers in the world. But I would _never_ dare to drive in Rome (and not even _think_ of driving in, say, Naples). Once I spent two hours sitting on a cafe terrace in Piazza Venezia, sipping one expensive but perfect cappuccino after another and just watching traffic: a gaggle of _Vespa_ (or something similar) riders coming one way, a city bus the other. Nobody slows down. One almost closes one's eyes expecting carnage. But the bus somehow tunnels through the scooter riders - nobody seems to give way, but, miraculously, all pass the intersection unscathed, as it there were no other traffic. And don't get me started on taxi ride experience.

Had 3 TwinAir’s over 10 years and loved it. That engine was brilliant, on the motorway it would accelerate from most other cars. Agree the back seat space is smaller than in the TwinAir. Sadly that fan noise is not very premium.

Flaviana has been living in England too long! An Italian understands style and the compromises needed to achieve it. Shoes that pinch but look great, a suit that you can not sit down in but shouts ‘designer “ at the crowd.. ..Alla moda ..eleganti. 😁

Yup. We do like Flaviana tellling it like she sees it. :-D Question: Is more cramped because the floor is higher up (compared to the ICE 500) as the battery is underneath? I have to say I find it quite cute but I probably wouldnt have a small car (EV or not) for many of the reasons Flaviana cites. I have had two cars where the rear seating just didnt work for adults and only really worked for children up to about 10.

I’ve had an Abarth 595 and now have the 500e. There’s more room in the back of the 500e compared to the Abarth 595. Although both are pretty cramped in the back.

Andrew, I normally watch with vehicle information only being dispatched. With Flaviana, well it is all about, what she thinks and her brutal honesty. Let her in more reviews, or do a separate Flaviana says kind of reviews. It's not always about specs, in her case it's about how it functions and feels. Remember, her point of views are hilarious, and to a point, the rear seats will be used and she hates it. Cramped spaces do feel claustrophobic at best.

I think with all that glass it tends to make the road noise even louder. I rode in a S class Mercedes about five years old and I think it was more quiet than an electric car
