Crazy thing is BF1 is actually so good and feels quite authentic overall - it's not that woke. @@Amero2323I don’t know if he said it himself but some Indian organization said he was a Vietnam vet and the news ran with it. Turned out he was in the reserves after Vietnam. Whether or not he said it himself people used it to attack the kids.
@@Amero2323looked it up. He was in the reserves towards the end of the war. He was an infantryman but for some reason transferred and became a refrigerator tech. He only served for 4 months and was discharged after disciplinary issues.

I played a vr survival game, and every bullet you shoot is a bullet you either looted or bought from the market thing, have to load every bullet into the mag one by one and manually change out empty mags, definitely the most realistic shooter game I’ve ever played

Oxygen in planes came around long before jets were on the scene, all the bombers and fighters had it. Its a requirement once you get above a certain altitude so the jet propulsion has nothing to do with it.

Dude, the second that story broke I new it was fake. I won some brownie points with my woke buddies at work when I told them, "So a kid is smiling awkwardly and he's racist? Just wait 2 days and I guarantee there is more to the story." Lo and behold, a kid smiling while a weirdo drums at him and it turns out the guys yelling and singing at a kid are the weirdos. Who would have thought?
@@TheSunshineGroup Nick Sadmann, the Covington High school kid being referred to by Shane was also slandered by CNN (which is probably where Shane got his info and formed his foot-in-mouth opinion) and ended up getting over $100,000 million from them because it was all lies. The old "native American" got in the kids face and the kid just stood there and smiled. That turned into what Shane said and worse by CNN smearing him all over the news.

One kid was smiling awkwardly and just standing there. His picture was blasted all around as a "smug racist". Then the full video comes out and shows that the 16 year old didn't do anything and that the black dudes were screaming and cussing at them and the weird native American got involved for no reason. Then it turned out the native dude lied about being a veteran and was basically just a crazy guy. Then the main kid sued a bunch of news outlets for defamation and got several settlements.
The real context of “suck it up” is so much more validating, than the ambiguous “be a man” context that I grew up with. “Be a man, because sometimes, you have to do difficult, disgusting, life threatening work, and you can’t think about it too much, or it’ll only get harder” is so much more meaningful. Wish I’d learned this sooner.
As with all of this woke stuff, it’s not having girls in games that is weird, it’s about the obvious ploy by these giant companies to be woke. It just always feels contrived or preachy.

When that came out, if you assumed the opposite, it was still media programming of a different kind. The fact is the story was misreported, and the truth didn't come out until later. That's different than believing a narrative when the actual fact of the situation are available.

There actually were a handful of women who fought in WWII. Literally a handful. Throughout all the countries in all of the world. I’m pretty sure none of them were British. Many of the women they highlight as serving in combat positions during the war, like pilots, never actually saw combat they became trainers or did military exercises state side. There was a Russian Sniper, she would actually be a decent subject of a video game. She had to be a pretty badass shooter to make it into the Red Army as a woman in 1942. She’s credited with 309 kills, more than any American soldier has been credited with in the last 50 years. Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko. But yeah, it’s a ridiculous notion they had any impact on the front lines in any significant way. We’re talking about maybe a dozen women out of millions of fighters.
