So for whatever reason I'd never heard of the Mino Link that Trek designed for on the fly MTB geometry adjustment! After a little research I quickly realized that the missing link to improving my bikes downhill shredding capabilities was right under my rear! What an amazing option that the manufacturer gives us to enable quick and easy tuning for any riding experience. Just wanted to share this info in case there are others out there like me who had no clue! If you have any questions or comments please leave them below and be sure to like, subscribe and follow along for more Alter-Nation Outdoors shenanigans! Until next time...Share the outdoors with somebody!

flipped mine to the high position last night. the trails I ride I guess are kind of technical. if I understand correctly the high position is a little more xc ish? makes it a little faster to turn. the lower setting is better for downhill type terrain. I may be wrong. I'll ride this for a while and see what I like best.

So buying a 2500 euro bike and not knowing what the spec is... I'm not a pro or know very little about bikes and one of the deciding factors for buying this bike was the minolink, the giant trance has the same setup and this is due to the trek frames been made by giant they call it flip chip

@@BBbroussard only got mine a few weeks ago but the trails you guys are on are so dry the trails in Ireland are mud and water and the trek fairly plough thru the muck

I haven't adjusted mine yet, was the mino link threaded left-handed?

It sure was....kinda confused me at first! It was pretty tight too. After removing it I saw why...locktite on the threads!

How does a bike shop sell someone a bike and NOT show them this? Bad bike shop I would say. I researched the hell out of my 2019 FEX7, so I played with this right away and settled on slack position. Seems to have a more in the bike instead of on top of the bike feeling.

after hearing that it creaks and it can undo itself and get lost, after opening it from OEM tightness.. I never attempted to do it.

I could see that being a possible issue...I reapplied locktite to help mitigate this from happening...only time will tell but fingers crossed all will go well!
