I bought a mini table circular saw to facilitate my diorama construction work. In this video I give you my good and bad impressions. Comment, like and subscribe. Thanks for watching and have a good day everyone 😊
Looks fairly dangerous to me! And cutting with the sliding miter gauge, and the other end of the wood against the rip fence is just asking for super dangerous kickback! But removing the fence also removes the blade “protection” (its a stretch to call it protection!)! This was a great, honest review! An Amazon find I guess?
I agree with you, it's a dangerous machine, I bought it on banggood and I wondered how we could sell this kind of machine without any protection and besides I talk about it in this video. But by purchasing this machine knowingly (from a safety point of view) I already had my idea to remedy all these problems. I also made another video on all the improvements I made to this machine which is now very good for small woodwork. Thank you for your kind comment 😊
Thank you my friend, I must improve this machine, it is very practical but too dangerous, I hold too much to my fingers 😁 Thanks again for your great comment 😊👍
Hi there, thanks for showing the item, helps a lot to imagine how small the item is when I have never seen or owned such a mini saw. At the 10 minute mark, you were showing the wood kicking back, that's actually because you're touching the wood you are pushing through the blade to the wall to the left. If there was no wall, the wood would just be sitting there and not kicking back towards you. Rule for table saws, and I think this is the same too, to not use both the wall plus the mitre to cut anything, as the saw continuously spins and the wood will get pushed to only one direction when being in contact with the saw. The wall gives another point for the wood to be leaning against and pushes to you. If anyone were to need to cut a longer piece than the 7 cm length, it would be far safer to take out the wall on the left, and just use the mitre while wearing safety glasses.
Well thank you for this information, it is true that I am not used to using these mini machines, but it is certain that this guide on the left is used to cut a board lengthwise and not really to cut as I do on the video. Besides, I even put the guide upside down at the start of the video lol, which I then corrected. In the end I prefer to use my big table saw that I have in my workshop, at least I can adjust the blade height which is not possible on this mini table which I find quite dangerous. In another video I modified the tray and also made a cover for the saw blade which is much safer, but in the end I almost never use it, so it's a purchase that is not very useful to me.
Hello Pascal glad to see you have returned i think this is a pretty handy machine but should definitely have a guard that covers the blade completely like a full size table saw does especially if it runs when running the chuck i have looked at these also I would like to have a small chop saw for brass and aluminum stock
This table saw comes with other blade for plastic, brass and aluminum which will be good for my constructions. But before, you really have to do more safety, I have already started and I would do another video on this circular saw once the job is finished. There is also the part where there is the engine which is not protected, and the tools come to magnetize on it which is also very dangerous. But once securing this machine will be really very practical 😊 Thanks for watching and good comment my friend 😊👍
Oui enfin je me remet au travail 😁 C'est une machine sympa mais dangereuse a mon gout, je vais devoir l'améliorer pour qu'elle soit plus sécurisante, je tien a mes doigts 😉👍
Great video. I look forward to your video on the solutions. This baby was just delivered this afternoon. I haven't put it together yet. Your review was most timely!
It is a good little machine and practical. I improve this circular saw and most importantly I secure them. If you are interested here is the link the video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r8njyeozcPk.html Thanks for your great comment 😊👍
This looks very dangerous, nobody should be using a table saw without a riving knife and without being able to adjust the blade height. Very dangerous. Also, if you use the mitre gauge to push the wood through the blade then you do not need to use the fence, one or the other, not both. That is why your piece of wood was getting stuck between the blade and the fence. Very dangerous. Next time, remove the fence. Good luck to you!
I agree with you this machine is dangerous. But I made some modifications to this machine in another video which make it safer. I made a thicker cutting deck so that the saw blade protrudes less and also a blade cover. Now it's much better 😊👍
And yes here I am again 😄 The holidays are over, we have to put it to work. Too bad, doing nothing was great 😄 Thanks for watching and good comment Brian 😊👍
Very nice mini tool for the hobby, you need to hold it with clamps to the table and use a wood block as a support for the sanding disck 🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍✔️✔️😀😀🔵🔵🔵
Thank you for your advice carlos, but before using this machine I must secure it, as it is I find it too dangerous. Thanks for your great comment my friend 😊👍
Awesome little machine, i call these saws “widow makers” hahaha, i have had so many close calls with my fingers and bits of wood come flying back, everytime i counted my fingers after using it 😅 great video my friend 👍🏻
It's a nickname that fits this machine very well 😁 I have to improve it because I find it really dangerous. All these kinds of machines are dangerous but I find that this one there more particularly. I started the work to improve it, I would use it once I'm done. Have a nice day Harley 😉👍
Let me preface with, all saws are dangerous. That said, are these mini saws really that bad? I was thinking of getting one. Is it a bad idea to buy one ?
That is a very cool multy function machine I like it but they fact that there is no protection on the cutting disc and the depth is not adjustable that would but me off . Glad to see you back 😊
Yes, this machine will make my work easier, but first I have to improve it and especially find a solution for the height of the blade. This circular saw is not secure and it is dangerous. I started work on it, I will make a video, hoping to help the people who have this machine. Thanks for your good comment my friend 😊👍
Pascalll!!!! Welcome back to you tube buddy. Missed ur content brother 👍 hope u sorted ur other projects out. I no ur been bizy doing other stuff. Awesome video on the lathe an issues there are. Brilliant. 👍 😊 👍 bro.
Thank you, and yes I'm back, it's a shame the holidays are over 😁 Lots of projects in progress, I needed a little more machines for my constructions. Just put some security on this machine and it will be great 😉👍
Yes a video, been a long time since the last. Wow that's a finger chopper, so many ways to cut oneself. I'm with you covers on the 3 sides, the guide is very loose could be better. Then no blade adjustments that could have been done like a Skil saw. The sander disc a direct mount better as it seems so far from the table and no surface in front for a flat sand.
Yes a lot of things to improve on this circular saw, I find it really dangerous, I regret having bought this model but now that it is here I have to find solutions, because my fingers are much more important than this machine. I will make another video to show what I have improved hoping it helps people who have this circular saw. Thanks for your great comment, have a good day my friend 😊👍
Hola Pascal Amigo 👋.
Hi Sator, Did you come up with a solution to the saw blade cover? I have a mini trim saw I mainly use to cut small pieces of gemstones to size before I facet them. I would like a cover over the blade to prevent water from splashing onto my face when I am cutting the stone.
Hi. Yes I made a cover for the blade with plexiglass 3 millimeters thick, I give you the link of the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r8njyeozcPk.html it's from 8:31 of the video 😊
Now I understand better why you upgraded this machine, it was really too dangerous. It is very practical and it does not take up space but in terms of security it was really not at the top. Very buy and great video 👍
It was so good to watch and hear your intro again. If you were to mount your cutting deck upon extended uprights, could you perhapd end up with a more conventional saw height without making the machine too top-heavy?
Hello Del, how are you ? good I hope. You had the same idea as me 😉 I have almost finished improving and especially making this machine more secure, I would make a video to show how I did. Hope this helps people who have the same circular saw 😊👍
@@satorrotas I'm very well, thank you, Pascal. It's very good to know that you're okay too. I think it is irresponsible to retail this machine with such a low cutting deck. It really is unsafe, especially for inexperienced users.
@@Del350K4 That's right, I do not recommend buying this machine, the best is to take a more expensive one with the possibility of adjusting the blade in height and a cover for the blade, it is a minimum of safety. Although these machines, whatever they are, are always dangerous 😊👍
This is what I did with also a protection for the blade 😊 if you want to watch the video, here is the link:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r8njyeozcPk.html
I am a hobbyist and I came across a Vevor mini table saw but for some odd, and poor advertising, they don't show complete pictures of their kit. So that's what brought me here and now I have a full idea of what their kit can do. So thank you for posting your video. The video was very clear. That said, and this is just my 2 cents and no offense intended, why don't you just narrate instead of hand gestures and without background music? I think you'd be able to explain certain things better. But, its just my opinion. Thanks again!
Thanks for your good comment. I don't speak English at all, so to make my videos I thought that doing the subtitles myself was a good solution, but I realized that in the end it was better that I speak in my language and that the people who watches my videos uses the translation that youtube makes available. That's what I do now 😊 Thanks again 😉👍
@@satorrotas My apologies! Like I said, I wasn't bashing your video just throwing out my opinion or thought. But again, nice video. It helped me to understand the product better. Keep up the great work!
Thanks and no problem for your comment which was really nice, I like when people give their opinion especially when it's said nicely. Very happy if my video was able to help you. Have a good day Dan 😊👍
Like you say definitely needs some improvements. But after that should make a fine Little table saw. Do you have a link for it? Great work again my friend👍🏼😁
I bought this circular saw from Banggood but I have seen others cheaper and better secure on Aliexpress, I do not recommend this machine because it is not secure at all. I would do another video on this machine once I complete the safety job. But it is sure that this circular saw will facilitate my work for my constructions 😊 Thanks for your good comment my friend 😊👍
Hey Pascal I wanted to let you know Stevo D passed away and I will try and get that camper out one day this week been super busy stay safe my friend 🤟🏼
I am so sorry to hear this sad news, all my best thoughts will go to his family 🙁 No problem, work comes first, very happy to hear from you, take care of you and your family Travis.
Looks like the plexy kickback shield prevents you from properly supporting the material on the binding side of the blade. And increasing the risk of kickblade. The desighn could really use a better safety mecanism.
It's true, this saw is good but I find it dangerous because there is no safety. In another video I changed some thing and now this saw is much better 😊👍
Hello, the sanding discs that you see in the video were delivered with the machine, now I buy some in a DIY store but I have to cut them with scissors because all the ones I find are too big for the machine.
This is a problem because I can't find a replacement blade. All the ones I found that could have fit were too large in diameter. Maybe I should look at the mini circular saws that runs on battery, the size could correspond.
Thanks. I just watched two videos on tablesaw kickback, it's very informative. They are very dangerous machines, I don't use them often but I try to be very careful when I work with them.
I've never seen such a small table saw. It has so many other options included. I can see, you need to work with safety in mind. It looks fairly heavy duty. Yes, they should have covered the sides as much for safety as keeping the area clean. You have a good plan going forward👍Like 54
It's a good mini circular saw but not enough safety, I made another video on this saw to show how I secure them, now it's much better. Thank you very much for your excellent comment 😊👍
Well Pascal. First of all it is great to see you back in action.. :) I have to agree with your review on this machine. Has a lot of awesome features but (in my opinion) no real thought went into actually making it. You of course have found all the issues with this machine. Unfortunately it is not a matter of "if" you will get hurt on this. It's a matter of "when". With the belts all exposed under there as well. YIKES. Thanks for sharing bud and again great to see the name pop up in the videos.. :)
You are right, I must be very careful with this machine, my fingers are the most important. I have to improve it because I find it really dangerous. All these kinds of machines are dangerous but I find that this one there more particularly. I started the work to improve it, I would use it once I'm done. Thanks for your great comment, have a good day Nick 😊👍
That's right, I did not pay attention when buying this machine that the blade was not adjustable in height which is really a shame and dangerous I find.
It's an good idea, but I'm not sure that the screw that holds the saw blade is of good quality, so I prefer to leave it in place and make a cover for the blade 😊👍
I will improve this little machine, because as you say it is too dangerous as it is. It is certain that this will help me a lot for my dioramas, but it will only be useful when I have all secured. Thanks for your good comment, have a great day Jan 😉👍
It is certain and I agree with you, but I only use this saw for my dioramas. It is obvious that for heavy work one would need one on feet and which are intended for the work of large pieces of wood.
Simply because it has no name, apart from "mini table shaw". I give you the link, you can check for yourself : usa.banggood.com/Multifunctional-Small-Cutting-Mini-Table-Saw-DIY-Woodworking-Angle-Table-For-Metal-Cutting-Carving-p-1891048.html?imageAb=2&cur_warehouse=CN&ID=47184&rmmds=search&a=1658586007.8056&DCC=US¤cy=USD&akmClientCountry=FR
Really useless comment and really not nice, first hello, then if you had watched the video in full you would have seen that this machine comes from banggood and that there is no brand. Furthermore, when someone asks me for more information on this or that thing, I answer them with courtesy. Have a good day anyway
