Multiculturalism and the Canadian Identity 

I am Brazilian and Canadian and I think that new immigrants must assimilate to Canadian culture, and add a national identity!

My son is white and here in Burnaby, BC he is one of 2 white kids out of 16 in his kindergarten class. Aside from him being picked on for being white, everything is just peachy.

What of "interculturalism"? Here are my thoughts left on another video regarding multi-CULT-uralism versus Inter-CULT-uralism versis Individualism{or Multi-Individualism as I like to say}: //"MY THOUGHTS: I think what they say about Interculturalism is PARTLY true. However in some ways some of what they say sounds more like multi-culturalism, which inherently promotes racial/cultural/etc herd mentality and just furthers stereotypes as a result, and also as a result harms genuine individuality. Interculturalism is based, IMO, on the idea of inter-active dialogue between different cultures and tolerance of other cultures, yes; but more importantly I think it gives us a way to get past the imposed herd mentality, stereotype promotion/being, and racial/cultural/etc self-segregationism. It is about INDIVIDUAL INDIVIDUALITY{or if you like "multi-individualism" or "individuation"} and the right to not be absorbed into a herd and it's herd ways; you can be white, black, native, oriental/eastern, middle eastern, western, american, canadian, irish, british, Japaneze, North African or south african, Arabian, Israelite, Iranian, or of any sub-culture and not fit the stereotypes of said culture believed by people of other cultures as a result of so many within any given 'cult-ure" intentionally being stereotypes and herd minded. Inter-culturalism should be about genuine individuality, not about herd think- and i think that many of the people in theis video are dooing that and confusing interculturalism with what multiculturalism is/does/promotes, which are logically fallacious and a slap in the face to GENUINE individuality. Of course they are right that interculturalism is or should also be about dialogue between cult-ures as well, but it should also be about diaologue and evolution and individuality within any given cult-ure or sub-cult-ure. That's why I oppose multi-cult-uralism and cult-ural relativism{not all cult-ures are equally valid or equally invalid} and support inter-cult-uralism..though merely as a stepping stone to multi-individualism. I think, however, that if we put CULT(s)-ures or cult(s)-ural diversity{pseudo-diversity} above the individual{or individual/genuine diversity} that we are making a grave mistake!"//

The original Canadian identity is that of the Natives who first came here. Everyone else is an immigrant. So if u aint wearing a mohawk and participating in Native American Tribal rituals than dont ask me to. And if immigrants need to go than the first immigrants of this land must be the first ones 2 leave.

No, the state is made up of people and an idea. The land actually does belong to whom conquered it, and of course the conquered will never agree with that which is normal. That is the contradiction that will never cease, the conquerors will call the conquered weak and when the conquerors become the conquered they will say the new conquerors stole the land. It is a big contradiction but it is also normal and understandable. So all I can say is, game on.

Multiculturalism doesn't exist in Canada. In Quebec there are 3 English universities, plus 10 English hospital, with one English huge new university hospital (M.U.H.C). In Ontario there is no french university and only one hospital where the government of Ontario tries to close. In Quebec 600 000 English people, and in Ontario 620 000 french people.

being Canadian is not Islam loud speaker prayer that's to offensive to the other cultures and yes Christian bells ring in Canada since before Canada was a nation going back too 1534 or something but you cant expect one to be ok because the other is pure Canadian culture so yes there is huge norms in Canada I truly believed Canada was a Anglo Franko nation until not long ago so you can see the norms built into the Canadian people this isn't about Islam either its about explaining my point the liberals said in 2015 Canada has no core culture but its funny hearing this because Canada was built on the Christian values and because immigration picks up you cant ask millions of people to change the ways they and their great grand parents were raised so yes I like different cultures, but Canada always had a core identity to say otherwise is insane
