I did not realize that the input buffer was set to 30 on recommended, changing this to 6 helped fix all my input problems. So thank you for showing that.
You can hit w after s during down air to cancel fast fall especially during charged attacks. This is very consistent FYI not as easy as controller but I managed fine
Neutral spot dodge is great for canceling attacks in air into another attack, for example finn can d-air and as soon as he makes contact you can spot dodge, and soon as you spot dodge you can d-air again, this isn’t a loop since you have to touch the floor the reset dodge but if you map the neutral evade you can use this tech, the combo looks like: D-air >> N-evade>> D-air >> N- air >> up special and once you get that down you can add and mix it up I use my right stick for attacks, you can hold down on your left stick flick your right down >> tap your neutral evade >> into flick your right stick again, all while holding down on left stick
Thanks for the Tut. I was going mad trying to land dairs mid fights and just fastfalling endlessly passed my opponents and losing all my spike kill potential over and over. It made my gameplay very readable because I could only consistently kill off the top and sides. I hope they implement real settings eventually but this will do for now. For controller players, what do you think about swapping the inputs between side attacks and neutral attacks. That way when you are jumping and then completing an attack you don’t have to move your thumb from the jump button to the attack button, you could just click R1?
Should add double tap down for fast fall option for keyboard. Is super hard to play Finn throwing gem offstage when u are trying not to fast fall to your death. Worse part is trying to grab the gem in mid air as well to throw it in a different direction. Edit to even release gem the input is special + down thus fast fall.
What do you bind U-H and N to? I have been using the rest of the keys with your settings and improved greatly I have H for p/up but I don't know what I am suposed to set U and N to at all. Thank you.
You explained everything perfectly, as a competitive MVS player, this guide is everything you need for your controls, but one thing I will mention is with neutral dodge you can decrease or just cut off end lag with alot of moves, like Shaggy's double recovery, but yeah it's kinda depending on character Other than that, you explained it very well, Top 3 Jake out ♥️
Didn't know about this keyboard splitter thing. I can't get the hang of controller even though I know it's way better. I use Mouse 1 for light m2 for special and my thumb buttons are neutral attack and neutral special. Maybe I need to go full keyboard binds
Could you make a multiverse video on how to play neutral and read opponents. Since I also come from brawlhalla the mechanics are different for me when it comes to neutral and especially reading people
Its a really helpful guide but its sucks for me because i stopped playing Multiversus for 1 reason is the high ping so i went and started playing brawlhala but can you make us a guide on brawlhala just like this one tbh im having a hard time to do lots of combos i do like a combo with 2-4 hits in it max but cant manage to keep it going alot of the time (plz make one i'd appreciate it aloooott)
that, explain a lot. also come from brawlhzllah, and was confused about why my placement was so imprecise. sometime i do a grounded move, sometime not cause of the fastfall thing. also, could difficultly reproduce edgegards as i did in brawl, cause exactly like you somtime i float, sometime i fall depending on weird timings
oof I've been wanting to switch to keyboard from controller but the c-stick advantage is too big for me - guess I'll be waiting until that keyboard patch lol
I tried switching to a keyboard, even installed the keyboard splitter, but it looks like there is a ton of delay input on the keyboard. Is it just me or I am doing something wrong?
This game is trash im sure youll get burnt out way in a few years, so clunky. Maybe if they refine the combat system but idk im sure alot of your fans feel the same way its just a little kid game and the combat is hard to process at times unlike brawl. The lack of clarity is the reason why i dont play any of the new smashes either.
