The dreaded Crimson Helm...You need to kill him if Kusa Village has any chance of survival! Copyrights to Okami belong to former Clover, ReadyatDawn Studios (for Wii port), and ultimately Capcom.
1:24 - 1:50 is the part that makes this my favorite boss theme, it's pretty much the perfect orchestrated Japanese theme for "two warriors dueling to the death".
You know, for all that drama about Crimson Helm plauging the city and whatnot, he sure was a pushover! Now, Oki on the other hand... He might be a simple warrior, but it goes to show how awesome he is. Not to mention he's got great themes...
Those optional boss battles scattered around the world you find by uncovering holes in the ground (i.e. with bombs, or possibly with the level 2 digging). They're virtually identical to the Spider Queen (the second boss fight in the game), but you fight them to win Sun Fragments.
This and Waka's Promenade, which are essentially the same song, are the game's "main" boss themes. A lot of the bosses have their own themes, but this is the "general" boss music. Man, I love it!
No actually, now that I think about it 5 bosses. Waka has his own battle song. This song plays during the fights against Crimson Helm, Blight, the Tube Foxes (the things you fight inside the Water Dragon), the boss you fight inside Himiko's Palace (spoiler prevention you see) and yes, Oki too.
I always hated this fight. Not because it was hard(it was pitifully easy), but it's because of all the build up they gave for him. He was just disappointing.
Any fight in this game can be pitifully easy bc once you play through it several times, you get several million yen which you can buy large exorcism slips and wipe out any enemy in just the blink of an eye
I really like this as a general boss theme. It's nice as it separates the normal bosses from really important story bosses like Ninetailes, Orochi, etc. Doesn't hurt that it's an awesome theme as-is.
I love it when you say to your friend, when talking about good video games, "I know you will never have heard of it, but my favourite game is called "Okami"." Then they actually call their friend because they know and love it too and didn't even know that anyone else actually knew about it. True story.
Its a shame they gave you 7 free hits on top of godhood for crimson helm. I feel like letting yourself lose the power orbs makes the fight much more fun
@@NickKnackisB4ck Yeah, but everyone is freaking out about Dante and finding anything they can to confirm that he'll be in. Heard plenty of people say he's a "lock" for Smash. I just can't shake the feeling that he would play too similarly to Joker, though, and from what we know, the second Fighter Pass is all about uniqueness.
@@UnknownSpooky honestly he probably would, with maybe a few variations in how he attacks and what his specials would be. But if it's all about uniqueness, then that just improves ammy's even more. Think about it: there is a lot they can do with ammy between using brush skills and the huge arsenal in okami. Alternate skins could be based on other characters in game. And finally, this game's soundtrack is incredible, so there's a lot to choose from. In my personal opinion, I could definitely see this happening in the future. Is it likely? Maybe not. Is it possible? Most certainly!
I love the taiko drums at the beginning of this track! They're my favorite drums and always give me a little chill up my spine ^^ Thank you for uploading it!
So Fast Paced and Energetic, makes me wanna start running, then find an enemy i can jump around while landing a few hits on without it even knowing i've hit it until it's too late
Drawing ones blade at the beginning of the song makes it more epic, then stepping around you enemy for a few more seconds before attempting a lightning flurry of strikes to the beat. AWESOME!!!
This song is played many times throughout the game, since it's also the music that plays everytime an important story battle takes place, like for instance when you're fighting Blight, or Ninetails in his human form. This is a remix of Playing with Waka btw.
When I first saw Crimson Helm I was like OMG!!!! Mother firetruckin evil skeleton centaur thing!!!! But I defeated him in like 3 mins with beads and I was like O_0
My boyfriend showed me this game and i loved everything. The storyline, the graphisms, the soundtrack(especially), the bosses, the universe, the paintbrush... well, everything!!!
I usually play on the wii so… The fight wasn't THAT bad, I must say. Maybe it was fun because I'm still a bit new to this… okmaybeIveplayedokami10timesbutohwell
While Ushiwaka's Dance ~ Playing with Ushiwaka is still my favorite rendition of the regular battle theme, this one is a close second. But I feel like it doesn't match the battle itself; while the theme represents danger and battling to death, Crimson Helm himself was so easy it's almost laughable. Love his design, tho.
Best boss theme in the game, wish the battle lasted longer. At least this theme gets used for the absurdly long Kusa 5 battle. That was the first time I actually got to listen to it all the way through
Crimson Helm is the embodiment of wrath, a folly that all of man suffers from. Though he may have a tough exterior and pose like hes all powerful, his armor falls off when you counter assault him, making him weak. He's like the typical school bully , the embodiment of another flaw in man.
When I played this on Wii, the Bass was much less emphasized than when I go back to relisten on RU-vid For example, the flute solos (2:40) are the main reason I remember this song and you can barely hear it here. It gets drowned out be the base :(
Amaterasu:bring it!!!! Crimson helm: *charged into wall* Amatersu: *beats crimson helm easily and is disappointed in her rivals weak attempt to fight her*
I didn't notice it that much... The sounds it made just bugged me until I saw a faded thingy on my screen... I was like... "Urgh! GETOFFGETOFF!" I didn't know how, but it sorta disappeared... I didn't even remember if that thing gave damage or anything. What was more annoying was the Crimson Helm head and skull in the room for the Lucky Mallet.
This guy is allergic to cherry bombs. But you can't make them spawn directly on him (I think). So you use galestorm to blow them on him. Ultimately the way to win is to spam galestorm C:
Ryland Segrae And here lies a wonder of nature. The rare and elusive Grammar Nazi. It is said it only lives in the deepest part of what is known as the Internet. The mating call of this creature normally starts with * and ends with a corrected version of a word. Truly breathtaking.
All of y'all are missing a hard as hell fight where this theme plays. At the end of the Kusa 5 (really 8) rematch, this plays when you go one-on-one with Tei, and it is RIDICULOUS. No joke, beating Tei without resorting to items is an accomplishment- he really is harder than the final boss.
You think Crimson Helm was stupidly easy, but at least his weakness isn't the most overpowered Celestial Brush ability in the game. *cough*Blight*cough*
Crimson Helm probably could've been hard but since you had the Satomi Power Orbs on your side that made him easier since you could take several hits before taking damage. In all honesty the only boss that only kiled me in the game was Yami.
How to make Crimson Helm not shitty: Give an attack that causes Crimson Helm to unleash flaming cracks in the ground that constantly damage you if you step on them. Don’t give the Satomi Power Orbs. They are recovered overtime in the boss fight, and then Amaterasu uses all 8 of them to destroy Crimson Helm. Crimson Helm deals MORE damage. Crimson Helm can fly in the air and shoot homing fireballs. Crimson Helm can summon flaming swords that sweep across the arena. Crimson Helm’s most powerful attack is to shoot a large beam of flames, which remove half of Solar Energy
*sees a spider and a guy with a bat* *they attempt to kill me but this music plays* *I get a hammer and smash the spider and then I knock the guy with the bat out* *gets ninja stars and throws em at his face and finishes it off with a KATANA THROUGH THE FOREHEAD XD
Am I the only one who actually found Crimson Helm quite challenging? In fact, I'd say most of the bosses where this song played were difficult, the execeptions being the Tube Foxes and the Bandit Spiders. I mean, obviously "difficult" doesn't mean much in Okami thanks to how easy it is to stock up recovery items and then use them without penalty while pausing the battle, but you know what I mean.
