I-It's busty babe...H-how are you and your two friends doing? Copyrights to Okami belong to former Clover, ReadyatDawn Studios (for Wii port), and ultimately Capcom.
I know this song is more mature than the others, and obviously meant for a bit of fun. I can’t help feel a little sorrow whenever I hear it because now I know that we, the player, never even met the true Rao. She was gone before we made it to Ryoshima Coast
spoilers (but this game is literally 14 years old, and regardless of the fact viewing the comments of an OST to a game you haven’t completed is practically begging for spoilers) It sorta haunts me that not only do we ever officially meet the real Rao (save for following her spirit), she never even passes on. You can see a purple hitodama above her corpse in the tunnel, and it’s always there even if you visit for whatever reason later on. We see Yatsu’s ghost in the Gale Shrine passing on beforehand, later King Wada, and even later on the celestials, but nothing to suggest the real Rao moving on. Guess she was a little bit too attached to the mortal realm.
Kyubi in Japanese culture(?): They can transform into beautiful women or occasionally handsome men and take the life force/soul of someone through sexual contact Okami: Nahh that's too mainstream
Ugh, Rao. -.-' Issun was constantly drooling over her like an idiot. Meanwhile Ammy's staring at her all like "WTF ARE THOSE BEACHBALLS DOING ON YOUR CHEST WOMAN"
I love how this whole game is like totally innocent and then THIS happened. Still to this day it makes me feel weird having to play this part with out a headset..
Idk to me this game isn't innocent at all... Almost the first scene is issun coping a feel in sakuyas robes and constantly talking about her body and everyone else's
@@JoJoboiWav It is, in fact, a pretext to spoil those in every discussion related to the books that doesn't explicitly assume the people reading may not have finished them. The people discovering them shouldn't visit discussions of particular plot points or other aspects of the book.
They are tricksters for a reason after all. Ability to become alluring females, seductive nature luring in unsuspecting people, and generally causing all sorts of troubles.
Am I the only one who doesn't think it sounds sexual much? I think it sounds rather mysterious and dreamy, yet it trys to cover up a dark secret It's pretty. :3
I thought it sounded kind of sad because it's like how it's the woman with the nice music but it sounds kind of like someone was missing something or lost something and missed them.
Me: playing Okami on my Switch in the middle seat of a plane having a grand ole' time Also me: Talks to Rao, music starts playing... All I can think is, thank GOD I am wearing headphones
Okay guys, calm down, all I keep reading about is how people (thought their porn was still on) I honestly think it's a great song, so elegant. It's almost as if this song si trying to say how love-making isn't particullarly just a crude form of entertainmant Almost as if it's saying it's an art! I doubt that the creators of this game created this song just so that they could creep some dudes out. It annoys me how no one is commenting on how serene it is.
This was my ringtone for my girlfriend at the time, she got upset said it made her sound like a booty call... turned out it was more fitting than initially realised lol.
*S P O I L E R S* . . . . I was really creeped out when i knew that the corpse in the Ryoshima Temple passage was the body of the real Rao, killed and abandoned in that cave... is really creepy... and sad... and i wanna cry :'c
Y'know I always loved this song but it makes me hella sad realizing None of us have ever met Rao. It feels creepy when I think about how everyone Talks to her even though the real rao is rotting somewhere.
I met Rao and I was waiting for my dad to walk in and make a comment about her...Waited and waited he never came not even my mom...How disappointing it was I wanted someone to walk in and comment..No one did.
@Queenofdragons6 Rao alone makes the game seem like it's filled with porno stuff. My dad was worried that he bought it for me. When I told him that he DID buy it for me, he became embarrassed and walked away.
When I got out of the Water Dragon's belly, Rao appeared and my mom was there, so I instantly turnes the TV off (she doesn't really know a lot about video games so she probably would have thought I was playing a porn game) and I waited for her to get back upstairs. I thought she was gone, so I turned the TV on, but she was still there! She said something like "What kind of games are you playing?" XD
@longlivereligion She died before you ever got to the city, way before you even let her ride you. The fox killed her and disguised itself as her. Even if she acted innocently, it was all just a charade. If that's a bit confusing, here's a way to determine who the REAL Rao is: When you first meet her, look at her necklace. It's red. When you watch the vision of the Dragon Orb, you will see that Rao's necklace is blue. The REAL Rao's necklace is blue.
Also the real Rao had both her eyes visible while the phony Rao had her hair covering up her right eye to hide the fact that she is missing an eye. Cuz when you finally get to serve Ninetails what he deserves after you destroy all of his tails he's revealed to be a pathetic old fox who is missing his left eye.
@jeezjuly the real rao was murdered before you get there, the rao you meet is 9tails in disguise, which is why she wanted the fox rods. the spirit rao you see outside the temple was real raos ghost
I was wearing Bluetooth headphones in public, I wanted to listen to this song since Rao the busty babe popped up my mind, my headphones ran out of juice, I did not know, I played this theme. IN PUBLIC, with speakers on. Still, that made more people know about Okami, except now they would think that it is a 18+ game. XD
I think I laughed at the moans, too. Man...Nobody else in this game deserves his/her/its nickname more than her. She was one of those characters that solidify one's love for Issun.
@Gaaraloverr1 My mom and dad got me this game the year it was released (2006) for my birthday. I was 8 at the time. I got to this scene a month or 2 later, and my dad heard it too. The look on his face was priceless... xD
We never met the true Rao. We know nothing about her sans her devotion to the queen and her devotion to her role as priestess. For all we know, Rao was as conservative as hell. Ninetales could have just done... Whatever the fuck this is, as a 'last laugh', as with the kitsune legends of stealing souls through sexual contact in a 'two birds one stone' type of deal.
@jeezjuly the real Rao was killed long ago, and the present "Rao" is really Ninetails in disguise. PAy close attention to this part in the game, as it can be very helpful.
ima be real i didnt hear the moaning in game, i dont know if it was just my speakers being low but the reason i looked for this was because I loved the melody
It is around this part that you really start to get angry, choked up, and feel sorry for the characters in the game. I can free-style pics of women in the style from the game... But none will ever be as worthy of this song as, Rao. Who with every movement, she swayed like jello-jigglers.
Am I the only one who was like depressed when seeing the dead body of the actual Rao, I was dead inside and was like "fml this game is trash" (actually the game is beautifull) and damn I was most in tear for Rao than for Himiko (My english is bad yeee)
