Most singers sing whatever they can - Floor sings whatever sings whatever she wants - Floor doing Floor Things!!!! and Marko just happy to have such a great "backing" vocal

This one was written for Floor. It lets her get some aggression out. She loves the heavy stuff. I think from your comments you are starting to realize how diverse Tuomas' composition can be? Celtic folk music to Metallica influenced aggressive metal. The version from Wembley is a little better. IMHO. Great job again Jim. Loved it. See you soon. Peace.

How many times did people post that there was a little surprise in this song? 😁 Floors range in NIghtwish has been D3 to F6, although that is only what Tuomas has asked her to do so far. Marko can hit E5, which is incredible for a tenor. Neither of them seem to be straining at all, so who can say what their real limits are...

Dude, of course the Nightwish Army knows that Floor can sing anything.Death growls to soaring notes. She is after all the Goddess. We just want to see if you can hear it, so well done. Octave range..it's 4 or 5.Ask an opera singer.

If you find that one bad song with Floor let me know because I've listened to every song she's done many times and I haven't found one. I don't think it exists. 😀

One of my favorites Jim loved your face , your now getting onto the songs written by Tuomas with Floor in mind and with her input in the development of the song .And i haven't come across a average song by them they dont exist .You should also have a look at the Wembley gig show starter of this song its a go big or go home moment and they go huge .

From a behind the scenes tour Jukko was giving (don't remember which video) Tuomas' keyboard stands can conceal at least three bottles of wine if not more.

Those oohs and aahs on last 4rth that Floor does.. Going slightly off note on purpose are not easy to do so that they sound good 😍

Im a huge nightwish fan from the Netherlands,perhaps one day you can react to a Dutch singer Anouk,places to go,or nobodys wife,she has so many good songs,and a voice of gold

of all the NW i have seen/bought the only "repetitive" thing i have noticed is Tuomas' 3 [or 4] note "tickle" with his right hand on the top Korg in various songs. And i LOVE it...

Actually, Floors range is at least E2b to F6 :). I do think she can go into whistle as well, but I have never heard her do so (yet). BTW, youi won't find a bad song, better be prepared It is just that some songs suit different moods better, that is all. All their songs are exceptional. I have heard other bands, certainly of late, trying to do what Nightwish does, with fancy videos as well, but they just don't have it. It is like making stock from bones that already have been used two or three times :). The cohesion and flavour is not there. Only Nightwish manages to do this, with their magical and always fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, every time, all the time. A truly amazing band, in a class of their own :). Usually it's mentioned they have 1 bad song - personally I agree. It was on their 1st (or 2nd) album, Nymphomaniac Fantasia. It got too artsy, shines through that a young man tried to write about something he hadn't experience about - he was a bit past 20, or was he under when he wrote it? So I understand it, and I like the compassion in it, for whoever he he wanted to defend. The 1st album in -96 compiled what he had written during many years. It wasn't all metal yet - much of it was folky... which element pulps up later on many albums. But I can't say the composition of that bad song was bad, only the lyrics make me cringe. Kudos for them not trying o hide it :) I should that another song doesn't fit for their 1st singer, it was verbally fast, she was struggling with it, and English isn't her mother tongue - have forgot the name. Some like that sing too.

... and the sweet ‘thank you!’ Right after. Can you imagine a salesman or pamphleteer accosting her on the street and her spinning around and growling ‘Yours is an empty hope!’ And watching the resulting yellow puddle?

A pause and rewind just 30 seconds in. Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well. That's the problem with choosing favorite Nightwish songs, it seems like they're in a state of constant flux which also means that you can re-enjoy them as favorites sometime later. Some of the older songs also have several versions available with different lead vocalists. And even then it's not limited to merely musical choices since if you like space stuff you can go from Stargazers to Shoemaker and if you like nature stuff you can go from Elvenpath to Alpenglow. Now that you're working on the EFMB album performances I'll be looking for some Weak Fantasy soon. Is it about time to start considering Poet and/or Greatest Show? In the EFMB documentary Tuomas said that the album is mainly just a prelude for the final track, The Greatest Show on Earth. Certainly these unplayed reactions he referred include songs like Alpenglow and celtic folk influenced compositions like My Walden. Anyway you're getting there, slowly but surely. :p
