I am a middle aged, Nigerian American (Mom was African American, dad Nigerian,) woman who occasionally delivers Uber Eats. One night on a South Texas delivery, I had a very unnerving experience. There was some kind of high school ceremony at a hotel, and I received a couple of orders from the same hotel. Although the first one was very close to the hotel, the second one was not. The second restaurant took way longer than usual. The second (Indian) student's father called me, asking about his daughter's order, saying that basically she was a toddler who needed her fries, and only eats fries. I got to the hotel, and it was a WHOLE teenager. She immediately started going off on me, barely inches from my face. As a military veteran, I am not known for backing down. This KID was yelling at me, a grown AZZ Black Woman, as if I was her servant or slave. First, I tried explaining that the restaurant in the order before hers was ignoring me and taking forever. She continues to yell in my face. 0-100 is nothing for me, at this point. I did not gaf about security being right there, since she was the aggressor. When she saw the fire in my eyes, while standing my ground as a BLACK WOMAN, rather than her subordinate, she said, 'ok. Ok. It's fine.' I was honestly ready for whatever. They need to stop teaching their children that Black People are beneath them, before they end up getting stomped tf out😅✊🏽

My Indian landlord didn't originally rent to me. He had to rent to my then white friend in order for me to live there. Later on, he kept asking me "who are these blacks coming on my property?" and when there was an empty room for rent, he would say "try not to rent to blacks. you're a good black but not these blacks. you know what I mean."
