I can’t say you were too emotional. You looked emotionless, no Personality. The 40mins was slow burn of dull. Is this how you talk in all your true crime videos. Though it seems you were probably struggling to translate or narrate the crime due to personal trauma. But you do your make up well!

I watch one where he calls perps all sorts of names and swears a little and people moan but that’s his way of getting his frustration out and it’s just sad when we expect humans to act like robots. The UK unlike other EU nations are having a tough time because they’ve never enforced a no tolerance policy for these honor crimes for fear of being called racists and it’s caused more harm. A crime is a crime regardless of who the perpetrators are and it’s for this reason far right political wings are gaining ground capitalizing on such stories to generalize that all people certain communities are like that.

I, for one, LOVE the pure emotion you convey when talking about these horrible and REAL things that happened to REAL, innocent people! They aren’t just stories you tell for entertainment. They’re the legacies of our brothers and sisters. They’re a way to honor those innocent victims and remember THEM as human beings. They’re, hopefully, a way to educate people about things they don’t know about (bc how can you help people if you don’t understand them?!?) They’re to raise awareness so we are more prepared to NOT allow history to continue repeating itself in horrific ways. This is why I always watch your channel, Zara, even if I have heard the cases elsewhere! I feel like I’m having a conversation with a friend who is as passionate about helping others as I am! If people don’t want to hear or experience the emotion that should naturally come with speaking about these crimes they have many other ways to learn about them, although I cannot understand how anyone could possibly hear about the disgusting things done to Banaz, and every victim you speak about, and feel nothing! Please never change, Zara! You’re a good soul who is telling these stories for the right reasons and I know all your subs love and appreciate you immensely!!❤❤

They had numerous times they could've intervened several times to save this young woman's life. Why aren't any authorities proactive instead of almost always reactive? This was so preventable multiple times and the authorities that did nothing to help her should be charged as well.

My God. There were multiple points where things you said and the way you said them really hit so hard. This is horrific. Every time I hear about genital mutilation and honor killings, it makes me sick to my stomach. These stories need to be told, so thank you for doing it so respectfully. On another note, I love hearing the legal perspective from you as you tell it in a way that is understandable for those of us that don't have a legal background. Would love to see you include that perspective in your videos more! 😊

Zara we are here for you. Family. Being emotional shows you care. Telling us about these precious young ladies and what they go through makes us more aware. So very sad and monstrous. There is no honor in killing your child. It just shows how evil you are.

Yes these stories are hard to hear. No of coarse Noone WANTS to hear these stories that is the reason these stories NEED to be told. People need to be aware that things like this happen and can and most likely are being done around and near us . If these stories are not told then there is no awareness. Thank you for telling these hard stores and keeping us on our toes to our surroundings .

People will literally hate on everything and anything. Don’t take their negativity at all seriously. People are so dumb and ignorant. You are such an intelligent, beautiful, and graceful person. And it’s not easy putting yourself out there for the world to scrutinize. You’re also brave and I love the awareness you are raising about honor killings. Keep doing you Australia. I’m a fan

Thank you so so much. This was defiantly an education. I had no idea the extent of torture and lies these women are expected to endure! At what point do these cultures realize that the measures are only torture with no benefit? Your daughters life is more important than anything else you can think of; especially something that is perceived as"honor". A parent should give their lives to save their kids...how did they get so numb to their women's pain that death and torture are acceptable? Where is there honor in that???

Not talking about it doesn't make it go away its just another form of looking the other way. Keep doing the hard job. You are the voice of these victims. Thank you!

The issue with emigrant families arises from their insecurities and fear once they relocate to a foreign country. In attempt to comfort themselves they hold on to their community and traditions, which often times are dated, and not even practiced in their home country anymore. I used to live in a West European country for a few years, and my ex was a local Kurd. None of the traditions and rites you mention were practiced in his family. Which means, its not a common practice in Kurdistan these days. It's very unfortunate that some emigrants bring these outdated "rules" into their new life in a foreign country, and this is how the locals perceive them due to all the barbarian practices. Also, I feel so sorry for the poor children who now grow in a Western culture, and cannot understand how to navigate through life considering all the restrictions and demands of their emigrant families.

Zara, don't ever feel that you're too emotional and ignore these people who are saying so. These cases are horrible to hear and talk about, but it's necessary that we do because if we don't, they'll remain in silence. By doing these videos, you are giving them the voice they never had and you are empowering those who are going through the same thing. I admit that I have to stop the video at times when it gets to heavier parts and that's nothing to be ashamed of. More power to you.

Means you HAVE A HEART! And I think it's important that those cases get more coverage so that more people in the Western world are aware of that and try to do something if they meet a person who's in need of help.
