The MV Zenobia is a ferry that sank close to Larnaka in June 1980 on its maiden voyage. Lying on its side in approx 40m of water the vehicle decks still have the trucks and trailers that were loaded on board when she sank.
1:34 What an amazing difference in the condition of the floor mat. Between the area protected from falling sediment by the seat bottom that is directly over it, and the same mat out in the open collecting that fine silt. You can clearly see the depth of the dimples in the surface texture of the rubber.
Je me souviens du reportage dans le magazine France routier mon père était abonné à cette revue et cette article c'est max menier qui en parlait. Ça s'appelait des camions sous la mer😮
Thank you for this sub sea trip, the trucks await the disembarkation that will never come! Imagine diving on this prior to sediments, sea growths, time and saltwater tarnishing the wreck and it's cargo!
Trying to work out what that 6x2 truck is at 1:50, appears to be a twin-steer and in 1980 I can’t think who made one, other than maybe Scammell in the 1960s? Or were twin-steers far more common on the Continent in 1980?
