Exactly what the mvc2 community needed. For the past 10 years it's been rusty OGs still beating everyone. Time for people to get hungry again. Five years ago I wouldn't have believed it.. but the highest levels of this game are still ahead of us. Khaos's clean/economic play is the way of the future.
@@greciawilliamson2674 Yeah, like this khaos guy who definitely hasnt been playing/training with strong players consistently...wait how'd he do t hat if no one plays?
@@pkyy9269 Dang, I didn't think I'd have to actually breakdown that the world doesn't play MVC2 anymore. Yes, there is an incredibly small group of players that play, completely unlike the numbers that played when the game was in its prime. Sort of like how there are still people that play Super Mario 2 on NES, but not very many. It's not difficult to understand, my guy.
@@greciawilliamson2674 ...I'm not sure which game you advocate in comparison.. but it's community will be a ghost town after a couple years.. while marvel 2, third strike, and super turbo will still running tournaments with ever increasing skill levels.
I'd just like to add, while I can't speak for countries like Mexico, and Peru, MvC2 is the second most popular game in the philippines next to tekken. So I'm not sure where the concept of the world not playing MvC2 anymore started. There's a goddamn tournament circuit here courtesy of Playbook PH, Fchamp and myself :))
Whenever I play Justin (rarely) there's always something new to learn. This man is a machine and I had to push myself to get the W. I hope we can play again in the future. I love this game!!
These muthafuckas went through the 5 stages of player grief for justin "JUSTIN GONNA WASH THIS FOOL"....."ITS FIRST TO 10 GUYS"....."THAT JUST HAPPENS, WE GOT MORE MATCHES"...."JUSTIN JUST RUSTY"...."I MEAN HE DONT EVEN PLAY THIS GAME!" Khaos played well and ffs just give that man some respect he played a great set.
This isn't about who cares more about the game, or who practiced more before the matches. It's about winning a first to 10 set, and that's what Khaos did.
@@pepengpantal1363 doubtful when they played several years ago, Justin trained for at least a month to get in mvc2 shape and won handedly, sure khaos has improved so it would be insane and not and automatic win either way.
Khaos is godlike. But to be fair Khaos spends all his time being great at MVC2 while Justin is great at many games. Yipes on the other hand still scared and everybody knows it
----- "...Your boy is always in a lose-lose situation because anytime I play somebody with a name like (Jwong) for instance. If I beat Wong.... "...he was rusty, he was out of practice, he doesn't play the game anymore..." and some of those are valid reasons. If I beat Wong... those are the reasons. But if I lose, "... oh I guess Khaos) wasn't that good to begin with..." ______
This was the video that caused me to run out of data while I was in Calgary and lose total use of the navigation in my phone! Hell yeah great match right here.
I love this commentary, I would have had no idea that if Justin was still actively playing mvc2 this would be different . I'm glad they kept saying it over and over because I kept forgetting every time Justin got his shit pushed in.
Honestly, it's just how it is in these scenarios. If you lose, everybody clowns you because you lost to someone who's rusty. If you win, people will handwave it 'cause they're not actively grinding anymore.
The bias, fanboyish commentary is of the charts. "If he was still training it would be a different story", do they really think Justin wasn't training, in preparation for if this match was gonna possibly happen? You think any player wants to turn up completely unprepared, to fight one of the best players in the world right now, just to get washed? No... That boy was definitely training.
@Jupiter Apollo Justin definitely didn't practice. He really doesn't take any game seriously to that extent, and is skilled enough to learn through osmosis. He's already got a ton of experience in this game, so he can easily rely on his fundamentals and maybe some stuff picked up from casuals. Watch him in any game and it's the same story.
Because unfortunately a lot of viewers are ignorant and think Justin was coming practiced as if he played the game. They have to keep repeating that because there are very forgetful or ignorant viewers. You help educate ignorant bystanders and people wouldn't have to repeat context that apparently eludes them Justin was literally dragged away from what he actually has been focusing on in other games for this. He didn't agree to it other people agreed to it for him lol. In this videos comment section alone people are still following incorrect narratives even after having watch the video and hearing the announcers trying to correct people's mistaken ideas. You're blaming the wrong people.
No it isn't. Theoriticals and what-ifs aren't the truth. The fact of the matter is that Justin got washed by arguably the best current MvC2 player (unless we plays yipes finally and gets washed)
@@Blackreapxr 'current' problem is none of the old-school heads play the game like that anymore. That’s like bragging about beating Jordan on the Wizards.
I appreciate you guys doing this man! This is what the Marvel scene needed. I honestly think that Khaos holds the Marvel crown as of now.....and for about the last 5 years. Lol Next up...........Khaos vs. Yipes?! 😮
Never gonna happen yipes said if you ain't one of the Gods he doesn't want to play but obviously he beat two God's already so yeah just scared little bitch. Khaos will wash him
I was playing in tournaments since around 2000 and one problem that happened when we started getting videos from the east coast were a bunch of guys from other areas trying WAY TOO HARD on commentary and sounding really REALLY cringe.
I like Justin wong, but I must concede the commentators were a bit too pro Justin: "Practiced J, different story" no way of knowing that story until J practices and challenges khaos again. Khaos is on another level here: his reads, his execution, knowing every conceivable punish, and I've also noticed he now is good about showing patience where patience is needed - adapting well to Justin's Lame game.
It would be a different story, it would be much more competitive. The reality is that Khaos has been grinding and it clearly shows. For the OG vets to have a good chance, they need to get back to grinding the game again, instead of just playing it occasionally at tourneys for old times sake.
WEST COAST ON THAT ASS!!!, I USED TO PRACTICE IN LOVEPIGS GARAGE WITH THIS GUY . CONGRATS TO THIS MAN TO CHASING HIS DREAMS AND ACCOMPLISHING SOMETHING WE ALL WANTED YEARS AGOO. DETHRONING THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! MARVELOUS!!!!!!
In this match its not lag? It seem very smooth... In the match of JR Bata and Jwong.. it is delay and little bit of lag.. i hope they fight again but this time in arcade console cab... thats the real match.
Hey i noticed when khaos played sanford that his sent assist was drones, but vs justin his sent assist was rocket punch. I know it's easier to combo into rocket punch and then use it to go into mag's infinite, but was khaos just using it b/c justin's team doesn't zone as well as sanford's cable team and he thus doesn't need drones to get in or is there something else to it?
@@imperfectcell7517 well i think sanford was using a bunch of different teams, so i'm probably not 100% correct, but teams that use capcom as an assist tend to be better at zoning and controlling space, so i'm guessing it's more important for magneto to get in instead of trying to punish the assist b/c magneto can't really threaten from far away; for instance you can't really punish capcom that well with rocket punch assist if cable's the point character
For Magneto the Rocket punch is a better assist bec if it connects it can get the opponent airbourne making his infinite easier to get to. It's also another anti-air which doesn't leave Magneto open to hits bec he cant take hits.
High level MvC2 is a really unique thing. The game was designed to be chaotic and then on top of that there’s a ton of different ways to exploit the fighting engine to do even crazier shit. The meta has gotten so ruthless over the years that a previously top tier character who can combo his super INTO ITSELF isn’t even played much anymore.
I wish the commentators would get JWONG'S do out of their mouth and commentate right. Khaos is the best now PERIOD. If Justin would've won they would've said "Justin is the best and he doesn't even play this game anymore'!!
Khaos is not Khaos. It's just the Terminator thing happening, but the robot killed Khaos instead of Sarah and replaced him 2 years ago. Khaos is watching this from beyond, happy and sad at the same time, on one hand he is not the one with the fame but he is the only one who knows it!
Looking at it either way, even prime JWong wouldnt touch this beast. Khaos just went up the mountains and trained hard af. Surely will beat a natural genius like Wong
Man people really can't grasp that no matter how nice you are at a game if you play someone who's been in training mode and the lab playing the game nonstop (Khaos) as opposed to making content and competing in multiple games on a regular basis (Justin) you need help. Shit I like both Khaos and Justin but people are tripping if you think an in-form Justin is losing a long set to anyone lmao. Khaos got his W but does it really mean anything? Personally, gonna have to go with "who gives a fuck" on this one.
There are just tiers and classes of difference between players like JWong MvC2 and Khaos. JWong did this without playing or practice. If Jwong had stayed current these would 9-1 matchup for him.
