Thanks for showing how you run your MX. I have one and I get tired of hearing all of the rejected tones because they seem just as loud as the non rejected tones, I have found some great finds with the MX and really like the machine. Thanks!

Reject tones only work in discrimination modes... That is one thing which actually is in the manual.

Glad i could help. When i ordered my sport i watched every video i could find on them while i waited for it to be delivered lol. Was a great starting point then after a few years with it in the field I found the setting that work best for me. Hope they work as well for you.

Thanks! I tried to break it down so everyone could understand. I've had a lot of people asking, so I figured I'd go ahead and make a video on my settings. Thanks for watching.

@@TheTexanDetector You know IndinaTones ie lou I think he was using that model, I have a few whites but nothing modern, thing is they still work And the old timers who used them did a good job house cleaning with them.

It is muddy around here in southern MS too. I use full tones too on all my machines that offer it. It is one of the best tools mid-high end detectors offer, and a lot of people don't take advantage of it.

It's supposed to be pretty here tomorrow, so I plan to get out and do some detecting. I hope you get to get out and swing the coil soon. Have a great weekend.

It was actually pretty nice here today. I was too busy to have any fun, but if it could hold out for a week this might even dry out lol.

I use the Nox 600. I usually end up hunting in 5 tones instead of 50, I like to hunt categories more or less. If it hits my 3 tone or higher I'm going to dig it anyway

When it comes down to it a lot about settings is what makes you comfortable. I personally just love the extra information.

lol that is not what the threshold does. if you keep it as low as you can but still hear it.. some of those little jumps in the hum are deep good signals. not just what you discriminate out. also, discrimination loses depth. i used to use coin and jewelry a lot, but switched to relic because it made the machine work more like the mxt that i used to use. it also seems to get better vdi clarity. gl & hh

You're right there is a lot more to it than that. I actually plan on doing a more in depth video on Threshold alone with some air and maybe even some ground tests. Even in the White's community there are mixed signals about the functions of the Threshold feature on the newer machines.

I normally start at 5 and try and bump up to about 7 when possible. Sorry i did have that in the first time, but my battery died lol.
