Rear wing, painted bumpers, scamp name plate, fake 340 sticker, missing VIN, what can go wrong. Love it.

Great to see everyone together. When I saw the car I was thinking to myself that the only thing 340 about the motor was the sticker. That is an old game played often. Uncle Tony knows his Mopars. He has a history of working in racing. I would trust him with a Mopar.

The Scamp is so popular and has such great content, you could make all that money back in revenue.

When I still had my grandmother's 1983 Fifth Avenue, I was seriously considering swapping the dead 318 for the 360 and rear end from a cop car. I really should have gone through with that. Instead I put another 318 in it.

Still makes me sad how this Scamp turned out. Even a rough mess like that, you know it's not the car's fault. It wants to run and be fun. If the engine lasts long enough to break the Cam in. And you have oil pressure you drive it slow and break it in properly and then you change your oil if you still have oil pressure it's not the builder it's the nut behind the throttle

I'm interested in high mileage vehicle Just like you are interested in Classic car nowadays !! Like a Altima 2012 with 214k mile/ 345k kilometers on it or an accord 2009/12 with 300k miles.!! Reliable but not boring with the issues is will or won't have after being driven that much !!

The more I see of this car the more I think it's an insurance scam. Take the no-title shell and slap it together dolled up to look nice, get it "flooded" and fool the agent with it, or pay them off. Or maybe it was an attempt at a flip that failed and then got the flood treatment. Copart absolutely should have caught that missing VIN tag and straightened it out though. All I can figure is they thought it was like some Fords and had just the tag on the door.

John Ross and Derek from vice grip garage has both chose to convert a couple of cars they had from carburetors to Holley snipers and had good results. I think that engine at the absolute minimum needs a holly sniper and see where that gets you and change the rear end any modern day V6 fuel injected car such as a mustang will still smoke and old school V8 with the exception of a couple of cars

Already upside down on the scamp. You could never recover. However if you want a trophy car then you could spend 30K and get it there.

UTG went over how you can get the 318 to a 340 pretty easy. I wouldn't go crazy on a motor, I'd build the 318 that way it will look stock and should get some respectful perf. Contact Tony and get some input.

If Trace Adkins can record a hit single "Chrome" why can't all the people rebuilding the classic muscle cars respect the chrome? I'm 66 years old and lived the muscle car years as a teenager, and I do not remember one person painting their chrome bumpers. I'll never understand that move. When I was stationed at Fort Eustis back in 1978 there was a young soldier in AIT driving a Scamp. I found the car interesting, but somewhat...lacking. But, to each their own.

Randy has the person who built the car ever reached out to you? I wonder if the car has a story that would explain the end result? Clearly it’s a 20 footer…however for 10k it certainly has a lot of eyeball and will get you content…has to be a fun beater. I think it would make a great 1/4 mile car with the right drive line. Personally I would not touch the body…stuff a warmed up 360 under the hood with a 150 shot of NOS…take it on power tour and then sell it.

Body is worth 10k. Great deal. Drop ah crate motor in it ,finish thee interior , paint it black n sell it for 35k

Seeing how it is, I would buy it, swap the engine for something more common (maybe an LS) and just fix up the suspension. It would become a fun driver and I wouldn't worry about driving it.

I'll let you know if you don't have a PCV valve hooked up it won't make a vacuum in the crankcase and then it'll build pressure and that will cause the rear bed to leak it as far as smoke if you got oil on your back bumper you got oil on your exhaust system that's where the smokes coming from I'm an expert backyard expert and I can do the body on that car no problem and the engine I do rear ends and transmission if I had a RU-vid channel I can prove it

What's wrong with the v6? Even some 30-year-old V6 cars from the 90s will smoke an old school va. Whether it be the Mitsubishi 3000GT, Nissan 300ZX, Supra, granted they have turbos but a V6 is nothing to laugh at these days..
