After you said " Sports Card " , I lost focus . Had to watch it over . You left us hangin' Lou . Nice car . Has to be more fun than a truck load of sports cards . Thanks for posting .
Wow, Lou! That is the best car you have ever featured on *Your* Car Story 👍 She is a beauty! My father had two Dodges in the 60s, but this certainly isn't my father's Dodge-mobile 😂 Love your car and this video ❤
What a nice surprise. Such a beauty. I don’t want to sound redundant but, nothing like that deep, throaty, visceral, luscious, and growling sound coming out of that Viper engine to start my day! And thanks a lot for the ride!
Instant classic the moment those cars rolled of the assembly line. Love the color combination of your car. Chrysler had the Viper right! Hope you hold on to it and enjoy it for years to come..... Legacy car, for sure. Side note: my brother in law, was a one of the few who went to Detroit for Chrysler certification as a Viper mechanic, in the Pacific NW. That came with a pay raise and a couple of Redwings tickets! Yes, even the last of the union mechanics, received more money for more skills learned. He loved working on these cars, even with all their quirks and tight spaces. Best part of it was, stealing the whole snake thing from Ford. That had to piss some folks over at Ford marketing and Shelby! LOL.
Great car Lou, thanks for sharing. My cousin in Germany has a 2015 Viper, rated at 650 hp. I always look forward to driving it on the Autobahn when I visit. He asks me not to take it over 320 Kph/200 Mph. I of course agree. doing 200 mph 100% legally and not having to check my rear view mirror once is treat enough.
Absolutely gorgeous car, Lou. No car quite captured my attention and imagination quite like the Viper. Wish it were still with us. Breathtaking design that actually resembles its namesake!
It's the ultimate "My Car" & "My Car Story"! Thanks for sharing your car & car story again with us, Lou. I've always admired the coupes, especially in that color & stripe combo. Add in the hood vents & aero treatments and you definitely have the one to own.
Thanks for the link. Wonderful video, your VIPER, out of this world, a hungry tiger for the road. I liked the clouds during the drive, beautiful location with a super car. Thanks friend for the virtual ride 😊
After seeing the short of this car, and seeing it many times as your outro driving off, I had to check out this video review on this 2006 Dodge Viper SRT 510 CI V10 6-speed manual overdrive. What an interesting story behind it. Great to finally see your personal ride up close and personal! Thanks for showing it off Lou!
What a great muscle car! I, too, love the color combo and of course, everything else! Very happy for you...well deserved, my man, well deserved! “I’ll CYA”!!
Wow, Lou, a fantastic sports racing machine! The mighty Dodge V-10 is an amazing engine. The design of the car is fabulous. Thanks for sharing! I love them too, from the first one I saw in 1992, the red roadster version.
Hi Donald, Happy to receive a "Wow" from you. I like each generation of the Viper, and hopefully one day, as the Channel grows, maybe one of each version, you know to share a video on so we're all informed :-) My pleasure sharing mine with you. You're welcome, Lou P.S. I saw that 1992 Red one in person at Auto Show in Chicago and it was love at first sight :-)
I give Chrysler A LOT of credit for having the balls to make a car like this. Startling when they arrived on the scene. Beautiful car and thanks for the ride!
Hi Brian SD, You're right, I'm sure a car company has to read the fine print to get something like this through Government regulations. Thank you for sharing you think my car is beautiful, and my pleasure sharing with you, Lou
Thanks for the review of a special car. My son had a '93 with 14k miles, he owned it a couple years. The tires were original (21 years old) so he replaced them for ~$1800. We went on several rides together and I'll always remember the experience of both driving and riding in the car. It had a Borla exhaust and was deafening at full throttle. There were certain conditions when it was painful on the ears. That V10 was very special. No door handles, no door windows, no door locks, no AC, no complaints. Seats were very comfortable, plenty of room at 6'2". I recall changing oil...the cast aluminum oil pan was a work of art. The oil filter was easy to spin off, but was trapped near the engine unless you removed something else (I forget what). Had to change the thermostat gasket, it is near the firewall behind the intake manifold, somewhat difficult to clean off the old gasket. The insurance was not very high even for a young driver. I guess they figure you won't be driving it much.

Kick ass ride along in the unequaled viper. I drove a first gen roadster once back in the 90's and it still makes me smile. There's nothing like a viper
Hi FUBAR Model Yard, Happy to read this video brings back smiles from the 1st Gen Viper you drove :-) Thank you for sharing you enjoy the ride with me, Lou
Lou, you have a great car!! And this was a great car story! Everything perfect! The car, the weather, the road! the speed limit, the story! Just don’t leave the keys in this beast if I’m around!! Temptation, temptation........!!
Vipers are one of my favorite sports cars. Congrats on getting one Lou, yours is really nice, can't but of how lucky you were to obtain this car in trade of sports car, very incredible story indeed. I love the blue with silver stripes, classic look. I would day like to own the red roadster Viper, that's favorite model. Great video Lou.
Hi Zach, The Viper is a favorite of mine, and glad it's a favorite of yours too :-) Glad to be able to share this one on the Channel, and take it out once in awhile too, Lou
Hi Rajeewa, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of my car :-) Glad to read you wife and I like this colour. Here is one more, Lou ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RuJN0W2ygf4.html
I have loved these cars from the first year of 1992. I still have the dealer brochure for the 1992 model year and have pictures of the 1992 in my billiard room. I also have the die cast model from 1992 from the dealer in a case. I have always wanted one of these cars and I got to drive one a 1992 that my cousin owned he let me have it for the day and it was awesome. This car is my ultimate dream car along with the Prowler. But the Viper is the top first car I would love. I am so jealous Lou you are a lucky guy to have such a awesome car. I enjoyed your video Lou and the ride along! Thanks for posting your beautiful Viper!!!
Hi Steve Flad, Happy to read you love these cars too :-) Cool you have a 1992 brochure, nice! Thank you for viewing, sharing, and my pleasure sharing my car with you, Lou
Love the Viper Lou ! Always one of my favourites! Especially yours ! I can tell you take great pride in the ownership of that viper.! I thought those V-10's were always cool.! Beautiful car, but you weren't going the speed limit ! Caught you !! Love the Batman shirt ! My son & I got to sit in one of the original Batmobile cars at a show a few years ago ! what an experience that was ! Thanks Lou for featuring you own car.!
SWEEEET Lou, Sweeet! I’ve always wanted one myself. I like ‘em all but my favorite is the yellow with black stripes ...in convertible form. Thanks for sharing yours with us. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride along! Beautiful green scenery too!
Thanks Lou for the link, I have no idea how i missed this one, The Blue and Silver Great color combination, Engine bay looks really good with the polished intake 505 cu in, 510 HP, 535 TQ, that will get you to the store and back in a hurry and you are right No visor mirror needed you always look good in a Viper... ))). I always wanted a Viper but that's one i have not owned. Definitely an Awesome car. Thanks Lou! Happy Motoring......
Love the colors! I didn't know all Vipers where manual trans. By 2006, they had really improved the dash. I remember when they first came out, the dashboards were horrible to me. but after viewing this 2006 Viper, I think they really improved! LOL on your mirror joke! I assumed correctly that the blind spot would be not so good. Love the sound of the engine and exhaust note. Fantastic! All cars should sound like this! The best test drive EVER!!!
Really like your nice ride. Glad you showed us your great piece of automobile engineering. Good luck with it and hold on to it as she will never devalue. Thanks again lou.👍👍👍
I have never really thought about what car does Lou own? Guess having a Viper is pretty cool! ha, ha.... Nice ride and I have drooled over these things since they came out way back when..
Hi Lou! Fabulous Viper indeed. The blue color with the typical stripes is legendary and the best for Viper in my opinion. Great video. Have a nice day.
Happy to read you enjoy this one, and you'll see it on the end of quite a few videos "driving away" :-) Here is one more. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RuJN0W2ygf4.html
Excellent taste once again, and this one is yours, the GTS of the 90s was the first one that really got me the early ones were okay but the gts coupe was a knockout, your car is a evolution of that and has the same charm ,I hope you are still out riding around in it for many more july mornings
Hi David, Happy to read you enjoy the Coupe Vipers too :-) I'll take good care of this one for the many more rides, and my pleasure sharing with you, Lou
Hi Niki, I'm happy to "love" this color combo. Thank you for viewing, sharing and I believe you're going to see many more cars on this Channel you'll enjoy. Hope you Subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this RU-vid Channel, Lou
Wow they really came a long way since the first generation huh Lou, I remember they didnt have roll up windows I think. Then the coupes came out. You dont see to many of these on the roads. Nice car Lou !
Beautiful car Lou, love the color. I had always wondered if they put any automatic transmissions in any of them, but I had assumed that the they didn't. My Uncle has a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 with the V10 and its been a good truck. Of course I'm sure that your V10 is putting out way more horsepower. Love watching your channel.
Hi Fábio Nakazoni , Thank you for the kind words. They are very inspirational :-) My pleasure sharing my car with you, and glad you're along for the ride, Lou
You're Viper is STUNNING! the color seemingly a racing car color, loved it. the body contour is AWESOME! very SLEEK or SLICK. I'm hoping you keep it for a long time, or let me know if you wanna sell it for Hyper "Cards" or a Hyper Car lol!
Hi X K, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of my car :-) Interestingly my other car (actually my wifes car) is an XK....R and here is the link. Enjoy! Lou ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RuJN0W2ygf4.html
Very nice Viper. Not what I envisioned you in but, has long as you enjoy it. I have an '11 Corvette Grand Sport coupe with 14k miles on it. Happy New Year!
Very very nice Viper there, Lou. It looks brand new even though it's 14 years old. I love the fact that you show literature about the cars, and allow us to pause on that to read it, it's always interesting because they're often not available in digital form. Again, great looking car. Almost as good looking as my red Stinger... ;-) (just kidding) Thanks for sharing! BTW, you're lucky that you can have a radar detector because here in Quebec they're illegal.
Hi AlainHubert, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of my car :-) Glad to read you enjoy your Stinger. Nice to know you enjoy the trunk & treat section to when I have them. Tip on keeping my radar detector at home if in Quebec. Thank you for viewing, sharing, and glad you're along for the ride, Lou
thats one sweet car !!!! great way to get it on a trade . i just got a new/used late model 2017 chevy for everyday driving , its thrilling to get something and take it on a country drive . one day i'll find my classic dream car .
Hi Matt’s Gentlemen’s Channel, Happy to read you think my car is "sweet" :-) Hope you're behind the right classic dream car soon. Thank you for viewing & sharing, Lou
Sweet ride there my friend, thanks for showing it to us. I had a 1993 Red with the black canvas top that I think was designed by an origami specialist. I was living in Florida at the time so if it looked like rain I had to allow 15 minutes or so to assemble it on the ground :-), There is nothing like a Viper is there? Driving it around town I just left it 2nd gear and I NEVER let a valey park it. Thanks again for sharing your car story.
Hi Lou, When I get over to the States, you & I are catching up, have a burger, chips & a beer, then once we share some classic muscle car stories, you are taking me for a ride in your Viper. It would be greatly appreciated if you can make this dream come true. Your number 1 Fan in Australia Louis Kats from Melbourne Australia ☺ 👍 ❤
Beautiful car. My favorite has always been the 1st gen GTS coupe, I just love those. I have to nit pic, c'mon Lou, get a 3 ring binder for those trunk treat brochures!!! Lol. Oh and about the rear visibility, when you have a Viper, you don't care what's behind you, you only care about what's in front. Throw away the rearview mirror!!! Haha, Gumball Rally!!!! We don't care what's ah behind us!!!!
Hi Hobiemarty, Glad you think my car is beautiful :-) I think every generation of Viper was done so well, and yes the 1st Gen GTS is super cool. Good point on the lack of need for a rear view mirror, Lou
Hi Chris, Glad to share this post with you. Yes, I will be at Carlisle, and if you see me slow me down to say hello, as I'll be videoing as many good ones as I can :-) Lou
Oh man I'm dying here !! I'd love one but I live in the UK so they are virtually non existent, also I have no money and finally a wife that hates me so I got no chance.
Hi ABHTV, Happy to read you enjoy my "dream car" :-) Seem my Son who's our Editor has his interest in this car. Thank you for viewing and sharing. Hope you see many cars on this Channel you enjoy!
