Thank you for the video. Previously I did not have a great experience with ACC and VR. This video has motivated me to try again. :) I am running 2080 Super and 3950X. Same as you, I noticed really big difference between cloudy/rainy weather and sunny. I was testing in Spa and I was only able to run at 90FPS with 115% ACC SS in rain. In sunny weather I would have to drop ACC SS to 100% to keep consistent 90FPS. Interesting if this 20% difference from your config is the difference between SUPER and TI GPU variant. I also noticed that setting Post Processing to LOW shaved of 3ms from frametimes. But of course then the game looses that ACC feel. :)
Awesome, settings, I went from 30 or 45 fps to 72, and the visibility is alright, cant read the signs and the dash is less sharp but the feeling is way better. Index, 3900x, 2070S, 32gb 3200mhz
Thanks man, now im running 60fps! I’m getting better results with a resolution down to 75% & Pixel density up to 150%, it works on 60fps with 15opponents and looks clearer.
Wharg the easiest way to understand it is something like DVD vs DivX. With resolution scale you raise the number of pixels, with pixel density number of pixels stay the same but pics looks clearer because of some kind of artificial pixels which graphic card predict.... So if you go down with resolution and up with density, you get almost the same quality for a lower power consumoption...
Dial up your pixel density in the ACC settings. That will make it look a lot less blurry in the Valve Index headset. I run about 150%. Makes it much clearer.
another GREAT method: just look at the official competizione forum. There go to acc vr section and search for thread "best vr settings, try this engine.ini". There you will find 2 files and an explanation where to copy them to. So just copy those 2 to the given directories and then start ACC VR -> first moment when you are back in car you will think -> this is the NEW ACC VR, sharp, vivid -> I love it :) since ACC has the best AI in my opinion and the sounds are.. just AWESOME... this is my MUST GO VR racing sim title now.. if you like the awesome GT series you MUST try ánd use those 2 files :)
thx for the vid man, much appreciated! couple of questions: do you use an altered engine.ini file or the default? Regarding your steamVR settings: globally you run 144hz with motion smoothing on + 100% resolution + video setting per application @140%?
You got it! I run 100% CC in steamVR and 140% SS within the game. I race with 144hz with forced smoothing on, hotlap at 90hz native with smoothing off. I have not made any changes to the .ini file. Thanks!
