Dang too bad you can't find an address for him, I know someone that flys and has another axe handle for him 😂 Really nice axe build Jeff !!! And a Very Merry Christmas to you and Andrea ❤❤
Very sorry to hear about the rip off. Hope Colin does the right thing and pays you. I found the video very interesting in regards to how you put a axe head on and secure it.
Very nice! I was scammed a couple weeks ago. I put him on blast in all the groups on Facebook! Come to find out, he got a few other guys as well! Hopefully, yours was an honest mistake and it gets resolved! Keep up the great content! You and your family have a Merry Christmas!
That's some dang fine work Jeff..... 😎👊 .....integrity is everything, sorry to hear someone stole from ya'. 🤬 Hopefully it doesn't discourage you from making those great axes. Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🌲 Randy
@@jeffschroeder9089 Thanks. I'll definitely have to check it out. I love the way oak looks when finished with Pine Tar, and I have an axe that needs a new haft, so it seems fortuitous indeed! Merry Christmas!
Bummer dude. One thing that might help in the future is if you have a storefront like etsy, shopify, etc. This way you'd be able to track the orders coming in and would have everything easily accessible if someone tried to pull you one over on you. Plus probably would help increase visibility/sales. Best of luck!
Its why I never wanted to sell on ebay or do electronic payments online with strangers. Because all it takes is a complete loss on one big transaction to nullify all the time and profit that you've accumulated. And Paypal always protects the buyers because they don't want people to lose faith in their payment processing system, which of course always favors the buyer who is putting money INTO it.
VintageAxeHoarder made me an ash handle with Osage orange palm swells I love that look. I also have Osage wedges I use all the time. Have you ever painted inside the roll stamp the same as the handle accent? I have a Connie Kelly 3 line with blue letters that match the blue handle butt.
Did you get notification of a dispute having been filed with paypal by the buyer ? You should have if it was initiated by him . There is generally a 180 day limit on payment reversals .
If the refund wasn't done by paypal but instead was a charge back done by a card issuer ( visa , mastercard etc. ) then your bank might be able to shed some light on where the money went , maybe even help with recovery ? This is what paypal say about charge backs - Chargebacks _Finally, what is a chargeback reversal? A chargeback happens when a customer files a dispute regarding a completed transaction, requesting the issuing bank to reverse the payment. However, chargebacks can only be filed with a card issuer (not the payment processor) and are only available to those who have made a purchase or payment with a credit or debit card._ _That said, chargebacks are initiated with and handled by the credit/debit card issuing bank, so the process is confined to the issuer’s regulations and time frame._ _Chargebacks can be a worst-case scenario for merchants as they involve the issuing bank reclaiming funds from the merchant's account. This results in an immediate loss of funds, disrupting cash flow and straining the business’ cash flow. Not only that, but high chargeback ratios can also damage a merchant’s reputation, leading to increased scrutiny, penalties, or even account suspensions._
You did a beautiful job on this axe. I really like your laser engraved logo. I don't know the logistics of how you're shipping your axes, but have you considered using Zelle for the payments? I don't think it can be reversed. Zelle is very popular and very common on the banking apps. I hope you get paid in full soon. This guy that ripped you off sounds like he needs to be the recipient of a complimentary axe handle. If you know what I mean.
Nice work Jeff. I don't know a Collin Carpenter but you can bet I will ask around. I would like to buy one of your axes after I recover form Christmas shopping. Where do I go to purchase one?
Awesome looking axe! The colour of the wedge & palm swells after oil looks so good... Also like having a proud wedge on hammers as well, looks good 🤙 Bummer about the rip off especially coming into Christmas. Would you be interested in selling any old axe heads that are in the “almost garbage” category? I enjoy doing a bit of work if it’s a old beater sitting there taking up space.
Have to figure a way to swap addresses & payment, I don’t do pay pal. Been ripped off as well. Have a good Christmas mate & hopefully sort something soon 🤙
Great axe Jeff. New to your channel. I’ve watched you over on August and Damien’s channels. Awesome work. I have an 80 year old axe head I found buried deep under a rock pile. I should send it to you to see what you can do with it. Sorry about you losing money and an axe to Colin. I can tell you this, what goes around comes around. Karma bro. His day will come.
I’m from the uk can I ask if you make them to ship that far? If so how would be best to go about it? Also what sort of cost do you charge to make a axe like that? Sorry about getting burned man ik the feeling I was working a job a couple months back and got my climbing kit robbed right in my area aswell alls it took was a 30s walk to get my flask biker went past the van and that was it. Hope you get more luck than me on the recovery side 🙌 all the best man have a good Christmas to you and your family👌🏽
Certainly selling on eBay is a big gamble these days. As a buyer I've been protected a couple times but it seems sellers can be SOL in most fraud cases.
Jeff, so how does that work? Somebody pays you? And then months later, they take the money back off. You after they received your product. Is that how PayPal works? That is absolutely crazy to me. You're work is amazing, number one, number 2. You're a hard-working man, you're honest. I've been dealing with you for a long time Calin If you're out there, you need to get ahold of him. Cause this is b******* God bless jeff merry christmas
@jeffschroeder9089 So what does PayPal take the money right out of your account with? Out even talking to you, cuz the guy obviously received the ax. That's just crazy to me months and months later. They can just take money out of your account without you even noing is that what it is?
Nice work guy, cool vid! Did they return the merchandise, or just get refunded? Sounds like fricken shoplifting or theft to me. Shame on Colin Carpenter if this was intentional and also shame on Paypal for permitting this without consulting both party's after so long. A short return grace period seems reasonable but should require your approval. WTH took so long CC?
Ah, man. Hope you get that PayPal nonsense figured out. That sucks. Appreciate you have a small shop, and maybe you're into the look, but wide angle all the time is a strange thing to me. (I know you love your axe work, which is stunning. Ya gotta love the camera work too 😉) Warm wishes and a merry one to you and yours.
Colin Carpenter what a wanker! 99.9% of people are honest as the day is long but every now and then 😡 all the best Jeff and a happy newyear to you and your family 👍
I went to school with a Collin carpenter but I highly doubt it’s him. In southwest Michigan, it’s also somewhat a common name combination. Was there a location where he was from by any chance ?
@@jeffschroeder9089 it’s possible you could contact the post office or mailing service to check history. This is an unfortunate situation. He probably had buyers remorse
Well... That sounds intentional... Not sure what is wrong with the world these days... Keep your head up man. I'm sure karma will pay you back ten fold. You seem to be a really hard working, honest man.. Merry Christmas
