I’m heading out to north west island in a couple weeks and my heaviest is a pe6 setup that holds a bit over 300m of line, do you reckon it would be safe to target mackies and bangers without being spooled or do you reckon it’s not enough stopping power/line capacity? i thought there is nobody better to ask than you just cause you’ve fished the great barrier more than most people ever will. A: Queensland law states you are allowed four pots per person, and 10 male crabs PER PERSON IN POSSESSION. It is NOT 10 crabs per day. (it's illegal to take female crabs in Queensland). Minimum 'take' size on male mud crabs is 15cm.
