This song 100% sounds like Bullets more than anything. It's supposed to have that vibe. Musically, vocally, etc. Even some of the lyrics of the song are a callback to "Skylines and Turnstiles". I'm excited for the new stuff because that album is so heavy and so good.

You're 100% right about their unique key choices and progressions. This song is in C# minor and the guitars are tuned to D# standard. Really unique for sure.

I can’t decide how I feel about the children of today possibly discovering MCR through this, while amazing; song. I feel like it won’t be appreciated enough by the new fans after we have wait sooooooooooooooooooooooo long for this. I cried the first time i listened. I think it was disbelief that it had actually happened and it was reminiscent of early early MCR. My 🖤 was happy.

Honestly, I found mcr in late 2021-very early 2022 through Sleep, and in the months before Foundations of Decay dropped I had gotten so attarched to this band already, had listened to pretty much all of their songs, and gotten around to knowing some lore even lol So, when the day came and foundations dropped it was like an immediate blessing, even though I wasn't around when they were at their prime of popularity and didn't feel the weight of the decade long wait of other fans, it hit like a truck and it's still my favourite song from them yet, followed closely by Sleep, I Never Told You and Kill All Your Friends :)

Famous last words is easily the best song they’ve made. Coheed is such a well rounded band, dark sentencer is easily one of the best songs ever made! That opening riff is massive. After his feature with Matt heafy I really hope he does bring that black metal in force, the eerie feel in this feels like it might.

I love that every album they do is different, and even though I'm still not a big fan of the vocals being left behind the instrumentals, it's nice to hear the instruments being bolder. I've honestly not been more excited for a band to release a single. I am hoping they include this in a new album. I love the raw feel of this and their first album bullets. I also love Gerard's lyrics in this, he always puts so much effort into his lyrics.

Gotta say, when this dropped I was like "This is ok...", but from second listen onwards, I was absolutely hooked, to the point that I couldn't stop humming it at MK before they were on, earworm of a chorus. P.S Was sick meeting you Nath whilst I was looking for my lost mate haha, glad you had a good one at the gig!!

I've been following Nate for years and only recently found this channel and it's officially my favorite one. You guys are amazing. was waiting to see you guys listen to this one! the mix definitely reminded me of bullets, and i agree that i think it's a nod to what fans were looking for. i love that even though they went quote-unquote heavier in a few ways, they kept the super melodic guitar that's pretty much always been a feature. hopefully they release more (and hopefully you react to it!)

If you haven’t already you should try listening to Rōnin by Ibaraki and Gerard Way I think you’d find it really interesting! I think it sounds so great, and Gerard sounds so different to his usual style in it

What ? Bob hasn't been their drummer since 2009, before Danger Days even . They briefly had Mike Pedicone and then from 2011 it's been Jarrod Alexander, it still is
