@@Winston.S.Churchill to be fair I don’t blame him, I’m somewhat interested in this new game, I still think the news is too good to be true, by the sounds of it it actually sounds decent, looked up the setting and it sounds perfect for an assassins creed game and it isn’t a generic commercial setting so they don’t have Spartans and vikings to fall back on. But the state of Ubisoft I doubt it will be on the level of the old games. Only time will tell I reckon.

I'm a veteran of this franchise and I can tell you that even since the days of AC Revelations, fans (at least in the forums) have been on a neverending cycle of asking for a change only for them to be also asking for the return of the "good old days". With that being said, I liked AC Origins a lot. if Ubisoft can, somehow, combine the best elements of, say, Unity and Origins.....I'll be hyped.

A remake would likely ruin the Ezio games and fill it with all sorts of woke content. I would rather keep it as is. Same with AC1, some to think of it.

There's a lot of AC channels. Ime surprised he stuck with the series for so long. Valhalla was a clear indication that Ubisoft does not care about the people who played the old games.

@Adam How? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think AC1-4 was designed around a loot based system. I never saw Ezio calling out to Odin and fighting Loki because that would be stupid. When exactly did Edward visit Asgard and become Havi? Assassin's Creed Valhalla couldn't be further away from what the old fans wanted in terms of everything. They're only backtracking with Basim now because of how many people hated Valhalla and it's still too late because the Norse gods need to fit in somewhere. I like Valhalla, but it's definitely NOT an AC game, just like Odyssey. Origins gets a pass for it's mid loot systems and grindy gameplay because at least the Brotherhood is prominent, at least it sticks close to the idea of AC.

I stopped playing around the time I got to England. I just felt it was lacking in so many ways, but the bloat is what I think kills the experience, especially if you played Odyssey to the end. It's just a very slow experience and the combat is not desirable at all. Couple that with a mostly dark and gritty aesthetic, and you have a repulsive game. Assassins were supposed to kill with kindness originally (ORIGINALLY), which is why I thought decapitations and dismemberment were a no-go for the series. But in general everything just looks so ugly in the game I couldn't play it anymore. And the dialogue was trash too.

It’s not that deep lmao. If AC is nothing but a cash cow for Ubisoft, what’s stopping me from cashing in too? I won’t play these games, or buy shit from this awful company, but I’ll sure as hell give takes on public and free news/leaks

@@ItsLazBoi Hopefully you stick to your guns but yanno don't surround yourself with stuff you don't like if you wanna forget about it then you should but things change over time whether we like them or not, dwelling on it, it's sad to think you see this as a money making machine your channel and by extension stream is what you make it, maybe you receive heated comments because you create a heated conversation, there's things to like in the new and the old as well as things to hate in both. Taste is subjective and I feel bad for you that you don't enjoy the games anymore but focus on finding a new series you can enjoy and build another community around because building up a community around a specific title and then turning on that title kinda seems to turn off the people who wanted to see you grow and do well. New game. New community and then the topics can be more positive and less controversial, it is a video game at the end of the day, bigger problems in the world right now than is the 416th entry to the AC franchise going to be true to the originals and appeal to new fans.

I'll wait for gameplay and reviews, but the days of mindlessly trusting Ubisoft are long over. Even if it turns out to be good, I don't even have a PS5 or Series, so I won't be getting this for a very long time, if at all. Tbh, I am still enjoying the Ezio and Kenway collections on Switch and that's about as good as AC ever got, so I am in no hurry.

I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that the AC fandom is not uniform. Ever since Black Flag we have had different kinds of fans.

The POP remake was done by a very inexperienced Ubisoft studio in India. I'm sure they've put a higher quality studio to remake/remaster AC 1.

I don't mind military camps at all but make them challenging and unique at least. Clearing out the bandit camps in Origins and Odyssey was the peak of bloat.
