My Dad needs Brain Surgery... 

My sister had brain surgery 3 years ago, and she’s still here kicking a$$ and taking names. Her advice is give it a few months before you try anything too strenuous. Best wishes to Neil, and hope you have a speedy recovery in January.

I had major brain surgery 9 years ago. My prayers are with you. The thing that surprised me most was how TIRED I was months and months afterwards. That's your body trying to heal, and it heals when you REST. Listen to your docs. Best wishes to you Neil.

'It's not the thing itself, it's your attitude towards it'. I heard Neil say this a few times in your videos. I printed that quote out and put it in a frame during the first lockdown and it gave me so much mental comfort. I hope the surgery goes well and Neil has a speedy recovery 🤍

It's amazing Neil can be so open and speak about this issue. But I think Nile is being extremely strong. It's so hard trying to sit and be calm and supportive when someone you love and care about is talking about how much pain they are going through and knowing they can't make it stop but can only comfort them. I had brain surgery January 2020 to remove a brain tumor. Tomorrow 12/21 I will be completing my last radiation treatment on 2 brain tumors that were found after surgery. I had a mini stroke early this year. And I am currently at high risk of having swelling in the brain due to severe migraine headaches. Sending your dad and the family positive vibes and prayers. So positive. Living with pain is so hard and to everyone around it seems that you are fine. I have lived with chronic back pain for 8 years and have similar nerve issues. Staying positive and active is the key but it isn't easy. Hope the surgery goes well and thanks for being an inspiration!!!

I haven’t had a stroke but your explanation about the system sending signals to your brain to say your in pain is basically fibromyalgia, which I live with daily quite badly. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, so you’ve got this Neil. You can get through anything. Have a good xmas and sending lots of hugs your families way.

I've had brain surgery, it's not an easy recovery and it will take longer than I'm sure you're hoping for (I know it certainly did for me), but you're strong and I know you'll get through it. I’ve been watching you and your family for 6 1/2 years. When I say that my heart dropped when I read this title, it fucking hit my feet. Neil has never failed in making me laugh and knowing he’s in pain upsets me so much. I’ll be praying for him every day. I wish your Dad all the best with surgery and I know he’ll be absolutely fine, he’s got the positive attitude he needs to get through this and is inspiring to listen to. In November 2020 I was diagnosed with a grade 2 brain tumour, I was 30 at the time of diagnosis. I underwent a massive surgery in May 2021. The tumour was on my dominant side and was very close to my speech. Therefor I had a 7 hour surgery and had to be awake for an hour and a half of it. I lost my speech for a few weeks and a few other things that I won’t go into but I made a full recovery within 3 months. Earlier this year I found out it had grown back so I had to have another surgery. I had the surgery 9 days ago now and I’m feeling great. I’ve got a little issue at the moment where I have total numbness down the whole right hand side of my body, along with pins and needles but that seems to be getting slightly better. It’s still too early to tell whether everything will come back to normal but I’m staying positive that it will. The human body is absolutely amazing and its incredible how quickly it bounces back. I wish your family have a fantastic Christmas and New Year and you’re Dad will smash it! In a few months it will all be a distant memory.
