@@xSdea yeah, you can see him beaming with pride. Tough bear on the outside but ya know he's got a marshmallow heart for his daughter. I can see the love over pouring and actually I'm teary all the way through this video cause my dad passed and he reminded me of my dad and me.
My dad too. He was a Marine so it was always like boot camp lol, but I know that was his way of teaching me the ropes because he loved me and now that he's gone I can say he taught me well. I didn't realize it when he was still alive because I was too busy rebelling against boot camp lol
Yeah, it may seem a little overbearing but he seems to love you. Gonna save you a bunch of money in the long run too! I haven't heard anyone say toilet like that since I lost my grandparents.
Seem to be such good people to be around! We need to see more like this in life. Unconditional Love and people helping others. Doing a chore for someone in kindness just because it needs to be done. We can all do this in some way, if we can forget about all the negativity and focus on what and who we see in the moment. Be present. Be kind. Just be there, in the moment.
Stephi, this video made me miss my daughter even more. We are just like you and your dad. My kids' mom passed away when they were little too. Life was so complicated back then. I did my best but both of my kids are very resentful towards me. It's ok but I miss them both. As hard as I tried I made several bad mistakes. Nobody tells us how to be a dad and suddenly one day everyone's lives get turned upside down and everyone looks to us to fix it all. Our kids assume that since we can rebuild cars and homes that we can fix our kids as well. I found I couldn't fix their little broken hearts and I wish I could've. When I look at you and your dad I can't imagine what it was like to live every day fearing losing his little girl. There's nothing like the love a dad has for his daughter. Women can come and go but your daughter is forever. If you ever get a chance, ask him what it was like for him. It's entirely possible that nobody ever has. You turned out to be an amazing person Stephi, I'm sure your mom and dad are both so proud.....much love to you and your cool puppy!
This made me tear up....I lost my dad when I was 6 and just found home videos of him and I on Thanksgiving,I couldn't stop watching them, hearing his voice....I'm his exact twin and only child. I miss him so much.
I lost my parents but I love seeing your dad in videos. There's something so wholesome about seeing your dad visiting, egar to repair things, making friends at a car show, cleaning your vehicle....just everything! I bet he's a proud dad...just like you're a proud daughter ♥︎
@@stelslight I'm sorry 😞 I know it really sucks. Yesterday would've been my dad's birthday and my mom's would've been the day before. Then Thanksgiving the day before that so this time of year can be a rollercoaster for me. They only had me too so I can't complain to a sibling. I'm probably a lot older than you [mentally I feel I'm in my 20s lol] but I am 36 now. I found my mom in 2010 when I had just turned 23. Then I lost my dad 5 years ago in 2017. How about you? I know I'm not like some who have lost their parents in their teens or younger but to lose mine when they were in their early 50s I feel was still too early to lose them. Time does make it bearable but the pain never ever goes away....and your ability to miss someone just keeps growing as years pass. For me anyway. My heart goes out to anyone who lost their parent[s] at a younger age. ♥︎
Not me crying though the entire video ..your dad is amazing...my dad was the same way....always doing dad things...rest in heavenly peace dad ...i miss you every day
My father has been M.I.A. since I was in 6th grade (28 now) and I rarely get sad over it. How can you miss something you never really had, right? Well your dad got the waterworks flowing😭 He reminds me of everything I missed out on and could have had if my father was half the man of your dad. Hug him tight for me Stephi! 🖤
What an amazing Dad you have! He immediately started doing repairs and making sure his baby girl is very well taken care of🥰 And the smiles on his face during the drag show....PRICELESS💕 Great video! I really enjoyed your Dad!
Your Dad is so cute! Absolutely adorable and I love how he non stop explains and teaches you everything he did, really cute and touching. Of course you are so sweet, no surprise your Dad is too:). I live in Asheville NC and I’m pretty sure we have a place like that drag queen brunch, how fun!!!
Your Dad's the cutest. He was slightly uncomfortable but still enjoyed himself at brunch. Enjoy and appreciate that your Dad can still help you around the house. My Dad is disabled and I miss him teaching me how to do things. Love your videos
I loved this video!! If you ever doubt that your dad loves you, just rewatch this... We can all clearly see the love that he has for you even if he doesn't SAY that he does. His "love language" is taking care of you, and making sure that you are safe.
Sometimes Dads aren’t very good with emotions and may not say “I love you and I miss you” all the time (if ever) but this video is proof of just how much your Dad loves you, Stephi, because that’s what he’s saying every time he fixes something for you and does his full home inspection 😂 it’s a DADS way of showing his LOVE. ❤
Your Dad's a good egg. He was showing you all his love through that handy work. If we could only find a man as good as our Dad. ( still looking) And as daughter and father mature, the relationship gets very sweet. I'm 57. We, too, had a rocky road and my mom was the glue. This warms my heart.
I remember when you told us how hard your childhood was with your dad. It is always weird building a relationship with a parent when we grow older, but it's definitely a relief not having that remorse feeling in our hearts anymore. I'm glad you can now have positives moments with your dad, you both deserve peace, love and drag broches😂❤️✨ Thank you for sharing❤️ Love from Venezuela
I'm so glad that you and your dad have managed to become close again. My dad was 94 when he passed in 2020. He was so much like your dad, he did everything from plumbing to carpentry to electrical to you name it. He almost never hired any work out. And he taught his daughters, especially me, everything he could so we could do the same. Your video brought both happy and sad tears, bringing up wonderful memories, but reminding me how very much I miss him.
it's awesome that your dad went to visit. he reminds me of how my husband will do different things around their home as a way to show his love. My husband and I were born it the early 60's. His dad didn't get all warm and fuzzy over things. His dad made it a point to make sure our daughters had what they needed or wanted. When our oldest daughter took automotive in high school, his dad bought her tools and when he died we found out that he left her tools that he had since he was 20. One of the tool boxes was tools that he had in WW2. It's awesome that he was there. The smile on his face shows how much he loves you and probably worries about you since he took care of a lot of repairs and was talking to shops to get new tires.
Any man can be a father but it takes a real MAN to be a Wonderful Dad. You can tell by the love he shares and the help he is giving he loves you. Changes for the better Stephi. All good things.
Probably my favorite video that you've ever put out young lady. Such a good daddy you have. Cherish these moments and have as many of them as you can possibly have with him because he won't be here forever. And by the way you're a pretty good daughter too.
Your dad's love language is fixing things. Having a child with such an unfixable condition at the time must of been pure torture for him. Seeing you sick and not being able to fix you must have broke his heart. Now he can fix your house to show his love. What is amazing is he is taking the time to show you how to do it for yourself.
He came down to visit you Stephi ❤️ That is so sweet and loving. And he got along with Ollie and slept on the floor. I cried through the whole video. I wanted this for you and here it happened. Best to you both always. Be well and have the time of your life 🙏
You have a wonderful dad!!! Now I know why you are so resourceful. He has taught you well and continues to do so. Explaining repairs along the way. I like how he is so friendly with strangers and willing to go to the drag show brunch. He’s just one in a million. You are so lucky. Hope he comes to visit again soon. Love your new home.
Man i wish i had a father that was as gentle as he is teaching you how to fix things... Crazy to see how passionate he is and truly trying to help teach, My dad would have simply yelled at me to get out instead of teaching the importance of whatever it is he may be fixing Your father! what an amazing man! Hope you cherish him.
I just found your channel. I feel inspired and I thank you for that. This video with your dad coming to visit warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. My papa (father) passed away in 2009 when I was 21. In this video your father actually reminds me of mine. The way he looks and how he’s trying to take care of you by making sure everything is fixed up and you have new tires etc. It was heart warming to imagine my papa coming to visit me as an adult. He would have done what your father did for you and made sure that everything was okay. I ache for a relationship with my father again. I’m so happy for you that your relationship with yours has gotten better as an adult. I can tell he loves you very much. Cherish that. It’s precious. ❤
. . Can really tell that your dog loves and bonded w/ your dad , love it ❤ Also when you said your goodbyes , the way your dog watched your dad walk away at the airport 😞
Aww, how sweet of your dad to help you fix things around your house and do things to your van. I'm so happy that you both had a wonderful time together and your dog absolutely loved him. Those goats were so cute especially the baby goat. I hope your dad comes back again soon to visit. You are fortunate to have a dad like him in your life. 💙
You can just feel how much he loves & cares for you through this video. His smile radiates when he smiles at you, when he teaches you something the way he talks to you & walks you through it so calmly 🥹
How wonderful to see your dad helping out. My dad would help out also. Sadly he had a stroke in 1994. He would say things like "When I get better we are going to do......." He passed away in 1995. So I'm sure he's up in Heaven looking down and thinking how to fix things! Be bless. Hug your dads!
This time spent with your father was great I'm glad to see that you have that close connection . Im a retired auto mechanic / machinist. My father taught me my trade had his own auto repair machine shop. We lost him early to cancer in 1987 it totally destroyed me for many years and is still a hole that wont heal. The world needs more fathers like yours hes a stand up man. Thank you for sharing your time with him. Nick.
It took seeing you dad smiling at drag queens to realize you totally have your dad's smile steph. I'm happy he got to come see your new place and y'all got to bound. 💙💙
That’s what dads do kid. They fix things. So nice to see. You can tell he loves you a lot and I bet he worries about you all the time. Even after he leaves I bet he is thinking about the things he missed and wants to go back and fix.
This is exactly how my dad shows me love-- he fixes stuff. I get awkward father daughter relationships, in my teens we didn't speak for years, now in my 30's we're doing better. Wish you all the best Stephi.
Your dad seems like a really cool man. So sweet of him to fix stuff around your house! The best dad. Makes me miss my dad so much. He died just when I was raising my children and I would have loved for him to have helped me and become part of our lives. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Flush the TERLET!! LOVE IT! Now i know where he came from! NEVER argue with a DAD that repairs your stuff! lol... smile and say thank you! He is a GEM!
This was heartwarming to see. Your dad is an amazing handyman. Now I see where you get your natural home skills from, Stephi. Great video and thank you for sharing it with all of us.
This video made me smile! My dad passed away last year and he never sat still and was always fixing stuff. He also was a mechanic and used car salesman in his younger years. Looks like you had fun!
Just came across your videos. I lost my mom over 18 years ago from Lupus. She was 57 yrs old. I’m one of five kids. I’m over ten yrs of sobriety. Clean of everything. Dry from everything. My dad and I have never been best of friends. He has been sober 39 yrs. He sobered up when I was 10. So my childhood was terrible. Now he is 3 yrs into dementia and to see him go from doing everything himself, like you dad, down to arguing with a file cabinet and shuffling across the floor in house slippers is tearing my heart to shreds. I’m a grown 49 yr old single dad of a 15, next month a 16 yr old young man. And I cry every day. Sobriety and a constant contact with God is a necessity in my walk through life. Keep this relationship with your dad strong and close. And you have made me cry while watching this video. Keep your head up so that the warmth of Gods sun can shine on your beautiful face.
That was beautiful! Like a segment I would see on the Lifetime Channel. Your dad is like every-Dad. Misses his kid, comes for a visit, fixes things and tries to teach you new stuff at the same time. That's love. A wicked good show!
My Pop and I had a rough start in our relationship, too, but through his trade as a journeyman electrician & side hustle as a handyman, learning and working along side him, using tools, showing me how to do his work was our communication that sustained us throughout the turbulent years. I couldn't leave his side growing up, the teen years, when he had so much knowledge & talent to share. After three daughters, thank God our baby brother came along or my Pop would've drove himself crazy with us three girls! We look back and only have the work we did together as proof of our "good" times 😊But I love my Pop more than he'll ever know!
I'm glad you got to see your Father... My Dad's been left side paralyzed wheelchair bound from a severe stroke that he had 4-21-2015... cherish the time spent!!!
@@StephiLee Yeeeeah 😕 He takes all his anger and mean spirit on accident at only one person,,, (ME) of all his firstborn and only son. It's difficult Stephi, but I know the brain injury is doing the speaking I understand it better after 7 years, but it's like watching your parent decline slowly over long period of time. Thank you for the response, I love you & your videos, I feel like we have a lot in common interests and personality wise...
Your father is a STAR (does not mind being on camera) & you have a great relationship with him now, what a wonderful handyman!! Just love how he comes for a holiday to see you & your new home & just starts doing some improvements with some education along the way! Dad is a good sport with you educating him with special drag brunch hehehehe💙💜
Stephi, this video has me in tears. Seeing how much your father loves you and remembering how your mom had and loved horses. I was so happy to see him helping you around the house and with your car. It really made me miss my parents. Love your channel, been a long time subscriber and fellow vegan Julie
I absolutely love this video! A Massachusetts girl myself, sometimes these Hardy New England Dads show their love with their actions, and not always their words. My dad was like that ❤️! It was so fun to see him trying to take care of things for you. I’m glad that you are mending your relationship with each other
