Hey DIYers! Thanks for stopping by. This Rubbermaid 2-wheels wheelbarrow was given free to me. I used it for a few years without even realizing the cracks that were forming. I guess they opened up when I was moving some heavey broken concrete slabs. These wheelbarrows are not cheap, and to prevent it from cracking further (and save $$$) I decided to repair it by using a 2-part epoxy.
Loctite EA E-120HP is a high-viscosity, non-sag aerospace grade 2-part epoxy adhesive. The only catch is, you'll need a dispenser tool to get the right mix. Those tools are way overpriced so I used wooden dowels to push the epoxy from each tube in the right proportion, mixed it, and applied it.
I cleaned the affected area with a metal brush to make the epoxy adhere well.
I have seen some folks using wire, cable-ties, etc to wrap around the cracks, and some have even melted plastic on top of the cracks.
I just wanted to keep it simple. Let me see how long the bonding holds.
