Do you love the band MINISTRY? Then you'll love this video!
I detail a day in my life in 1990 - the day I got refused entry into England which was the same day I met and drank with Al Jourgensen, Paul Raven and a member of Meat Beat Manifesto. It was a terrible day and a great night, all in 24 hours!
Later we go to see Ministry play in Orlando on March 23, 2024, along with Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly. It was a great show. This is a past and present video all in one. Enjoy!

What a cool story. I saw Ministry here in Dallas in December 1988 and January 1990. The 90 show i think featured the chain link fence and Nivek Ogre was with them. Later in 90 I think I saw Revco which had Al and Trent Reznor was with them. At that show the power went out I think and Al led us all in a few acapella sing-a-longs. The only cool person I met and talked with was Henry before a Black Flag show here around 1984.

I remember the chain link fence onstage. I saw them in L.A. around 2007 and they had it. Thanks for watching the video!

One memory I have of “hanging out with rock stars” that I can barely remember was hitchhiking down from S.Wales to London as a young 15 year old , I’d told my mam I was staying with a friend down the road……… I’d gone to see a “punk supergroup” called The Damned Sham Dead Boys who were playing at the Hammersmith Clarendon pub , I went primarily to see Brian James and Rat Scabies but ended up “hanging” (a little bit!) with Dave Tregunna and Stiv Bators. I remember Stiv being a nice guy to me but the details are lost in the fog of time now. Like a lot of things , as you get older the details of which would add meat to the bone of a good story gets dimmer and dimmer. The only reason I can say for 100% that I didn’t imagine it was that I kept 2 of song lists that they played that night , one written in felt tip pen that anyone could have written by anyone and one written in ballpoint point pen written by Brian James. I was able to confirm it was written in Brian’s hand years later by comparing it to his hand written lyrics in the Damned Disciples song book. I wish I had absorbed more of what I witnessed throughout the years and retained those memories !

What a great memory! How nice that you kept those set lists. I used to love the band Lords of the New Church, with Stiv and Brian James. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Good morning 🌞☕😊 , I and my friend Mary (may she RIP 🙏🏼🕊️🌹❤) had the great opportunity to hang out with Pantera in the parking lot at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield, Massachusetts where all the band's were staying for the OZZ Fest 97 and we got to meet Dimebag and his brother Vinnie and the rest of the band, went on their tour bus, ( no sex was involved because we weren't "Groupies" ) hung out had drink's and my friend smoked weed with some of them, I didn't because I didn't smoke weed back then. Had their roadie Moe trying to get with me, but I made it very clear that I was very taken by another, my boyfriend who I had a son with so he backed off and tried to get with Mary and she said to him I don't think so 😂😂 needles to say we had a good time 😊 BTW didn't have a camera at the time to document this moment nor smart phones or iPhones didn't exist back in 97 so all I have is my memory of this spectacular night 💗

I'm not sure. I loved the band Flesh for Lulu, especially in the 80's. Rocco plays with Wasted Youth these days and Nick sadly passed away a few years ago. Thanks for watching.:)

Hi Maggie great value for money (I was meant to write video not money!). I thought I would watch this because I remember dancing to Ministry when I was in my early 20s (my god, I'm nearly 60 fuck!). Anyway, I always loved boogyng to the song, 'Just one Fix'. I had no idea what it was about. Of course I do now! So I really enjoyed this one and wasn't expecting to view a great concert either! Terrific job doll face 😃😊🙍

Another great episode! I went to London for the first time in March 1990. 39 visits later, I'm going back next week with my wife and teenage daughters. My girls have never been and it gonna be great! Taking my youngest (13) to see Johnny Marr the night we arrive. So excited! You mentioned Zodiac Mindwarp and I wonder if you are familiar with Haggis who was in that band. Haggis went on to join the Four Horsemen soon after his stint with Zodiac. Many of those guys were tattooed by my late, dear friend Dennis Cockell (who also tattooed Steve Jones). Were you ever at the Intrepid Fox or around Walker's Court in SOHO when you lived there? Again, I love your channel and amazed as I watch every installment. Best to you and Joe, one day I'd love to meet you guys.

Thank you so much for watching every episode! I'm glad you enjoy them. Have fun in London! Joe and I are thinking of going there sometime this year. He has never been there. 39 times! You must know the place very well! I do remember the name Haggis in Zodiac's band, though I never met him. My boyfriend joined the band around 1993 or 1994 and stayed in them until we left in 1997. ( I actually played a big part in getting him in the band. One night after we saw the ZM play in Camden, I saw Cobalt sitting in a car waiting for his girlfriend to get some fish and chips on the high street. Jerry was too shy, but I went up to Cobalt and said "Hi! Great show, but you need a different bass player in the band. The guy you have doesn't fit it. My boyfriend works behind the bar at the Astoria on Friday's rock night and you should come down and talk to him." Sure enough, he did! And they started talking and about 2 weeks later Jerry was in the band. It was the thrill of his life. He toured a lot with them all over Europe and they recorded an album in Spain.) We used to hang out with Cobalt a lot, and his girlfriend at the time. He later married a model who used to model for Vivienne Westwood. I hung out with them, with Joe, once in L.A. around 2013, long after I broke up with Jerry. Z also used to come to our flat sometimes. I remember one Christmas when we spent the day/night together just the 3 of us in our flat - me, Jerry and Z. I believe I cooked a turkey. It was a fun Christmas! Jerry also worked at Johnsons on the Kings Road and Kensington Market. If you've been to London so many times you probably know the shop. It was quite famous at the time. We became good friends with Lloyd Johnson and he visited us in L.A. a few times after we moved back. We also had a store in LA called Volcano and we sold some of Lloyd's clothes. I do remember the Intrepid Fox. Whenever we were in the Soho area we would go there. I think it was in Soho on Tottenham Court Road/Shaftsbury Ave.? I remember it was the pub where the rockers and punks would go. We lived in Kilburn most of the time and drank at the pubs on the high street. We also went to Camden a lot. I remember the name of the tattooist you mention, but I never met him. We probably have a lot in common! Have a great trip to London. I'm sure your daughters will love it. Bon Voyage!

Gary Numan is opening for Ministry?!
@WhyNotGoPlaces

Yes, there are 3 bands on the tour, including Front Line Assembly, who are the opening band. They are currently touring across the U.S. They toured together last year too. Sometimes on off nights, Gary Numan will add a concert date on his own. Last year we saw one of those in Pensacola, Fl. He played a small club. It was a great show. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I was in the band in the 80s and am on the "Something Inside Me Has Died" video. I don't think I ever went to the Krypt. I do remember going to Scream a lot in the 80s. I don't think I ever met Rozz - if I did, it was very brief. Christian Death were going when we were playing around town. I do remember Eva 0. I met her a few times. Thanks for watching the video!
