Inspiration for Black Sheep. I know I’ve shared this before but it constantly inspires me.
I see you black sheep, thank you for blazing a new path in the generational script.

My Mum even introduced me to others as the Black Sheep sometimes! I know I'm here to break generational patterns and trauma, it's just a lot of shit to deal with.

That's beautiful! My sister (a raging narcissist) has called me a black sheep as an insult. I would send her this video but for self preservation, I went NO CONTACT from her three years ago. That was one of the best decisions I ever made. Life is much more peaceful now.

I had a brother named Jonathan. I loved him more than anyone else in my toxic, narcissistic family. He left us by his own hand on April 12, 1990 when he was 32 years old. He too, was the "black sheep". He was so much better than he realized and I wish I'd had this quote then. Maybe I could have saved him.

@@Ark-ys2up There is a sole Willow tree in a neighborhood near home, here. She was a huge, tall tree and beautiful at that, until one day, someone gutted her, bare to the stump. Let me clarify somthg that part of the same mad idea the others have, the bad ones...: NOT ALL BLACK SHEEPS R ABLE TO BRAKE CIRCLES, HAVE THE MOST HEALTHY LIFE IN THEIR FAMILIES OR DO THGS THEY COULDN'T. Sometimes they dont have their lives so different from others; & I don't mean in vain thgs, but even in important thgs. The idea that tales tell about how the princess Snow White, Cinderella etc, that no matter what harm they do to u, if u r good they can never take away anythg or at least not much of ur good thgs from u, is a lie. Like no matter the damage they did to them, they never lost their physical beauty, that means their physical health as well, eveythg good in them remaind intact, is wrong. Their always damage. & in cases were their darme comes from early, caregivers the damage is huge. Even though, there are levels too with caregivers. So dont feel & think that if u r good, u have to came out of that looking no scorched like SW,Cinderella, etc. Abuse can really sicken ur body physically, it can change a good look to less pretty looks, even if u were born with them. & many other thgs. If were able to keep as much as good thgs u had, awesome, congrats. If not, u only have to know, u didnt want to act in the same wrong ways as them, even when it really meant a lot of destruction for yourselves. If they destroyed u enough that u could not put all or most of ur healthiness in practice in ur life, & make it like u really were,a better person. O well, it was always really inside of u. Some good sheeps r else destroyed completely. Still recognize urselves as one of the good ones; & still give recognition to ur well acting.
@Edelwiess1066
@Edelwiess1066 10 месяцев назад
Exactly. It can utterly destroy a person. Some of us are lucky to still breathe oxygen and be on this side of the dirt. Just glad to be away from them. Going no contact is disorienting because i've never been so alone. But also refreshing, light, interesting and peaceful. What i've got left of life will Not be spent feeling like the trash bin of the family.
@LeiraHP
@LeiraHP 10 месяцев назад
@Edelwiess1066 🤍 if u r able to take them out of existence, i encourage everyone to do it, get them as out as possible. Later, carefully administrate who is coming in to ur life, so they dont belittle u or use u, even if acting to aplaude u, but to lean on u inconsiderable.

I think it is because Mother Nature always moves toward newness and growth. Any stable system like genetic lines and social systems will promote health only so far, then stagnation, and breakdown or death. It is not so much that the Black Sheep is 'special' but more that it is an essential part of life as we know it, and therefore must not be pushed to much to conformity, partly because it will kill off it's lifeforce because it only functions optimally as individual type, but also because it will help the breakdown of the family/ societal system that birthed it, to bring newness and difference. It doesn't mean it is easy though, for all involved!
@jacquelinefroehle3583
@jacquelinefroehle3583 10 месяцев назад
Because they in the Group don't have the Courage necessary to do things differently. And they can't stand alone. Black sheep do have the courage and the do stand alone.
@melanielaura111
@melanielaura111 10 месяцев назад
@@jacquelinefroehle3583 I think that's the crux of it. Some of us do have comparatively higher intelligence, intuition and/or spiritual understanding. But what all of us have in common is the unwillingness to keep these patterns going. That's why we're different. And that's why we're understood to be a problem.
@pushista9322

I don't think it's healthy to make a hero out of a victim. I was a scapegoat in my family and when later a therapist told me that trauma made me a better person than the rest of the family, it only prevented me from truly healing. Because, if trauma makes you a better person then you are stronger and healthier, right? So why protect yourself, why keep distance, why process my anger etc.

Is it possible for the black sheep to be the toxic one?
@MarieJackson-sp3be
@MarieJackson-sp3be 10 месяцев назад
I don't buy this entirely. There are different kinds of black sheep in a family, so don't put them all into the same bucket. My best friend is a black sheep because he is a liberal and not bigoted. The whole rest of his family are Trump lovers as well as bigots. The black sheep in my family is a flamboyant narcissist, always having to be the center of attention no matter who she hurts. She is a recovering drug addict. The crystal meth-amphetamines made her very much worse. I dearly love her and dislike her at the same time because she will throw me under the bus as she pleases. She is destructive and self loathing while expressing self love. Mother said she was like this from birth. I think she is bipolar but since she knows best (for everyone), she deems that she isn't, and don't say that word in front of her. I believe she is mentally ill, but if you help her, you enable outrageous behavior such as flipping up her shirt to expose her bra in a restaurant, or publicly cussing out people who have made her mad. She caused serious hurtful division in our family when our parents died. She's been told to leave people's houses. A friend of our cousin let her stay in her home for a festival our cousin was giving, and she walked around that woman's home naked because "that was being natural like God made her. She's not welcome back. While all this is true, I still think she is a wonderful soul/spirit, but she is damn toxic as a human. I keep in touch loosely, but my days of inspecting the underside of a bus are over.
