Being a marine that served in Iraq when I Saw his performance in the Superbowl my chest swelled up with pride and my eyes teared up and i looked at the sky and thanked the Lord for making me an American 🇺🇸
Whitney has a beautiful voice and no disrespect to her but her performance was prerecorded in a studio and Chris Stapleton performed live. Listening to this version really touched me more than any other.
I never thought in my lifetime i would hear a better version of our national anthem than Whitney... but dang .. Chris was over the top with this.. I loved it. not saying it's better than Whitney.. can't say that.. just different.. and amazing
@@FirstNameLastName-wt5to are you serious/ go back and see the performance. During a actual war and everyone in the stadium was anxious and nervous about possible attacks and she brought that song to life and made everyone in that stadium united and proud to be an American citizen. I'm not trying to downgrade Chris's rendition at all/ because it was a great performance but Whitney gave the performance of her life and the look of being proud to be American on her face was honestly the most joy I've ever seen someone have while singing the national anthem. So I humbly disagree with you completely.
@@christopherking4932 you do know she didn’t actually sing live? It was great but it was pre recorded and lip synced. Whereas Chris was pure live and just amazing
Ever since 1993, the NFL has required the Anthem to be pre-recorded. So this was, as well. Hers was pre-recorded because of the first Gulf War. They wanted no issues for that moment.
Putting your mind in the shoes of the man who wrote this song after a battle for our country and who ALL fought for OUR FREEDOMS that we're trying to hold on today!!! GOD HAS BLESSED AMERICA! DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED! UNITED WE STAND!!!❤❤
This was pure gold live. No one has ever done this like this. I cry every time I listen to it and I’m over 18 year vet of military and LE service. I’m a rough ole boy too, but if this doesn’t break you down you ain’t real.
This was a tender, compassionate love song sung over desperately torn and bleeding America. That's why it made us cry. It reminded us of the love and the hope we have for our country.
It bugged me when social media was making fun of Nick Sirrianni for crying during the nat'l anthem... People can be so cruel while having no idea what that song means to him. Could've been thinking of a grandfather he may have lost in the war, could've had a family member fall victim to the horrible 9/11 attacks. Respect to you bro for being a real one!
He lets the words shine and I love this. Whitney has always been my favorite until this version. It’s on a whole new level, stripped down to the bones.
This gave me chills. Chris is the best singer around right now, and probably will be for many years to come. Check out his video “Fire Away”. It is beautiful and heartbreaking.
Honestly!!! T h e m o s t a n n o y i n g s o u n d! How can one honestly love the sound of the music with that blasted thing chirping incessantly? You don't even have to spend money on a new battery. Just take that dead battery out of than thing and leave it empty. It's beyond its ability to save you from a fire anyway by the time it starts chirping.
You'll have to listen to his duet with Adele "Easy On Me". He lays back and lets her be the star that she IS and shows this beautiful tone to his voice. He was the frontman to a rock band: Steeldrivers. He is also such a great contributor to society. Love your reactions, DeDoe! You make me laugh.out.loud.
Retired Navy veteran. I cry every time I listen to this. Chris Stapleton's version of this is like listening to an anguished soldier praying when he awoke that our flag still flew. It's uncanny.
Chris has one of those voices that can't be duplicated. Check out his live version of sometimes I cry from when he was in a band called the jompson Brothers. The man has soul in his music
"Chris is... puttin some of that ass into it" is somehow the best description of Chris' sangin' that I've ever read. Thanks man, didn't know I needed that laugh today. Keep doin' your thing!
@@DeDoeWorldLivehey❤ I am new to your channel. I like your energy and think you're on the right track❣️🤘 You want a great recommendation for an artist? I don't see any videos on your list for Ren. Ren just came out with a new album called Sick Boi. There are so many great rap songs on this album, but he also has tons of other music, all of which is really truly live changing amazing level stuff. You will for sure not regret checking him out. Plus he has over a million subscribers who are very active looking for reactions to his music. Look him up🤘❣️🔥✨😀🥰🌟👍
These coaches and players have heard how many national anthems in their careers? For them all to be so deep into this performance says enough. Now for me it was like he was telling the story, it reminded me of why the national anthem was written. Everyone else feels like they are just singing a song, Chris SANG it while telling you the story behind it
His voice n the guitar👍👍Da best N.A. I've heard so Far..With all that is going on in America..C.S. make sure we stand up for our country n our Veteran'/troops..He killed it❤❤❤
OMG this was amazing it was on another level! I love Whitney’s version to death and I never in my lifetime would have thought that someone else could have done it better! Props to Chris I felt every single word and I loved it so much I listened to it over and over again! And every time I was in tears! This is so beautiful!!!
Acoustic version of Barely Alive is amazing. Chris and his wife Morgane singing Amanda is awesome. His cover of Metallica's Nothing else Matters is unreal. Pretty much everything Chris sings is amazing. We are truely blessed with being able to hear Chris sing.
My father in law was in the hospital during the superbowl that year, and me and my husband were visiting him. When CS started singing my jaw hit the floor, and I instantly teared up. He gave a soul stirring performance! We’re all combat vets, and every one got emotional. I wanted to shout like I was in church! Lol! That was also my last time seeing my sweet FIL though…RIP RJS
IMO this is the Best! Lol your Reaction is Natural , that's exactly how I felt! You Made me laugh, when you rewound it three times, telling us ( Rockets Red Flares) ' y'all didn't hear that, I don't care , I'm playing it Again!!'❤😂❤ I rewind ALL the time❤ When I watch it Live, I was Bawling! my Goose bumps lasted Long time! You want a live version of Chris Stapleton- Grammy's when him and Justin Timberlake collaborated for 2 songs!!! It was sick, it was stupid, they have no right, Lol! It was ( IMO) the best performance EVERRR!! Live at the Grammys. 2015 or 16 OMG!!! You Already Did!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! Gonna watch it now ❤❤
Okay I am Canadian and when I saw Chris Stapleton sing this and when the coach and one of the players I think was crying I almost was crying it made me very sentimental😮😮😮 Chris Stapleton singing the National Anthem nobody can do it better nobody❤❤❤❤❤ he has made more people around the world love your national anthem than anybody else combined❤❤❤
I'm from southern Indiana. Not far from the Kentucky boarder. Been around Chris for years. He is both awesome and humble. There's another fella from his home town you should check out as well. His name is Tyler Childers. Keep your nose to the grindstone.
This version was sung with so much soul & reverence. Like he was there on the battlefield looking at the flag with SO much pride. I've always heard star spangled banner & thought it's just a poem being sung to the tune of an old British drinking song (which it is), but Chris made it a national anthem.! No vocal acrobatics, just raw emotion & pride
Great reaction. This is my favorite rendition of our anthem and I think the men cried because they are patriots and this hit home. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!! #TRUMP2024
Chris Stapleton really doesn't do produced videos, except "Fire Away".... which you should probably react to. It's beautiful. Almost all of his videos you'll find on RU-vid will be live, which is awesome. Some of my personal favorites are: Sometimes I Cry I Was Wrong Whipping Post I Hope You Dance Death Row Nobody to Blame Starting Over You Should Probably Leave
Anyone that watched him perform this didn’t know he was will ABSOLUTELY know who he is now. I’ve never seen any one of any ethnicity, sex, nationality etc , that didn’t appreciate Chris Stapletons talent!
Hay bro you should do a review on how the National Anthem was made . It will give the reason Chris Stapleton had so much feeling and deep soul sounds . And you'll understand why Nick was crying . It's the love for our country and everyone who went before us .
This is my first time seeing your channel. However, I feel that, although Chris is a great singer, people are and were feeling the passion and true meaning behind the National Anthem for the United States of America./////YES!😇🥲
