Dude took his hat off and placed it on his heart. Showing respect. As a Marine combat vet, I'll keep that in my brain. Although, you didn't have to, you did it anyway. I didn't have to join the Marines. But I did it anyway. That little gesture, means a lot. It makes our sacrifice worth it.
As a daughter of a 30 year Vietnam vet (Air Force) and mom of 2 sons in active service (Army & Marines), I thank you for your service and sacrifice. We, the Patriots of the USA, will NOT let y’all down. Thank you, sir!
@@lisaneff5297 my grandfather, Karl Kazhe, was a Vietnam vet. One of the first enlisted to fly. A bomber pilot. Flew the A-6 Intruder, test flew the F-14 Tomcat. Among other jets. YOU. . .are VERY welcome, Patriot. We'd do it again, in a hot minute!
THANK YOU!!! Taking off your hat immediately almost got me wound up right from the start! So many ppl have no respect these days, so I appreciated that immensely!🇺🇸
You need to understand the choice of an all woman fly over was done to honor the history of the women pilots. The WASPS were the first in 1943, this year is the 80th Anniversary of the first women pilots in the U.S. military.
Thank you for taking your hat off! It bothers me when people don't or put their hand over their heart. I will always stand and place my heart over my heart! I respect the flag!
Chris Stapleton is a beast! He is his own genre. “Tennessee Whiskey”, “I Was Wrong”, “Cold”, “Fire Away (must watch official video) just for starters 😊
First time seeing you guys, and I got to say everything you said was spot on! The way you said it was well thought out and very well said. Thank you very much and God bless America.
This was from the most recent Super Bowl. It’s the best version I have ever heard! You definitely need to do more Chris Stapleton. He is multitalented!!
Y'all nailed it. This is the greatest country ever in history. The American people are not the American, jacked up, corrupt government. We are the last bastion of freedom. My family served and some gave it all for our country. Yes, pull together people. We are in this together!
Thank you! Great reaction! Chris is another rabbit hole I love traveling through! This man has soul! I think my favorite original song is “Cold” and I love his cover of “Whipping Post” by the Allman Brothers. I have never been a fan of country music but this guy is another genre bender! Thanks again guys! Happy birthday America 🎊🎉🎇🎆
America is far from perfect, but its full of people who are trying...you both said it so well. We will stumble, we do stumble, but the good parts, those are worth fighting for. ❤
Hearing The National Anthem has always been an emotional experience for me, even as a small child, but this rendition by Chris Stapleton touched me more than any I've ever heard, at 76yrs old that's saying a lot.
Chris has one of the best voices, ever. The man is an legend. The emotion in his voice just sends me. I’m not super patriotic, but he made me feel that song more than I ever have. I hope you guys do more from him!
Thank you for removing your hat and putting your hand over your heart even though you weren't at the event. That tells me a lot about you. I stand for the anthem and put my hand on my heart any time I hear it. This was the best I ever heard this song sung. My hat is off to Chris. He was amazing!
I watched it live,I watched it replayed after the game, and I'm STILL watching reactions..... And when I see my Eagles~Nick Siriani,Jason Kelce, with tears streaming down their faces,I cry along with them..... Chris Stapleton... Legend. BEST version of our beautiful National anthem I've ever heard in my 58 yrs.....
Thank you for taking off your hat for this. This is respectful to those who gave their lives in defense of this country and the flag that represents it. Appreciate it. And this is the best version of this song "I've" ever heard as well.
It shows the impact of what he did when the entire stadium was silent while he was singing! You can normally still hear the murmur of conversation during anyone else's performance, but when the crowd joins in on the last word...OMG!
One man with his guitar! He looked different because he usually wears his iconic cowboy hat 😊 Thank you so much for taking your cap off during the anthem ❤
wow.. no one has put up a comment.. since I have.. but I'm putting up a comment.. today... I saw the Francis Scott Key bridge go down about a month ago.. Francis Scott Key wrote our National Anthem.. I'm from Delaware but have lived in Maryland for 30 plus yrs.. I went to work over that bridge many a time.. so sad that it's gone.. Know our history... this song means everything. It's our Anthem.. and thank you so much for taking your hat off for it.. that's respect. I truly hope and pray that when my boys (3) of them hear our Anthem.. they will show respect. And hope my girls r raising their babies the same way.
We played Chris Stapleton's "Starting Over" for my grandmother ALL THE TIME! She also loved Marcelito Pomoy's version of Beauty & the Beast (from AGT shocking). After the Super Bowl, I couldn't wait to play this National Anthem for her. She loved it. We were able to play it for 3 months. She called Chris "That's My Boy!" She passed away that May at 109. We played Chris' National Anthem as her Funeral Processional song & rolled her out of the church to the "Star Spangled Banner!" It was Awesome!
So glad you've reacted to Chris Stapleton! You are at the edge of a very deep rabbit hole... this guy is amazing, he just *emotes*. He crosses genres....some people say he is "country"....but he is soooo soulful, and there is so much blues infused in his music...
my only add is Death Row is better in studio w the post processing eerie sounds. outside of that... i agree... the man is best live and untouched by post work.
Underrated comment! Too many people are set on studio albums…but the live versions are almost always infinitely better! So long as the person can sing lol. Shows where true talent lies
This and Whitney Houston the 2 best ever most emotional rendutions...Whitneys is what this anthem shoould sound like loud, strong and passionate! RIP Whitney !!!
I'm not even American but that was unbelievable, that was the America that I was brought up to respect as my second country, CS is a national treasure...The old America is still there..
You won’t be disappointed with the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole. Sometimes I Cry (Bing Lounge) and Fire Away (official video version) and Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away (CMA 2015) with Justin Timberlake in particular, are crazy good!
I bawled like a baby when I watched this live! His tears just sent me over the edge! I’m a cowboy fan and I was rooting for your eagles so hard! When it doesn’t affect my team I root for my division. Seems like I’ve been rooting for you guys these past few years. Plus I’m a Pennsylvania girl living in the heart of steeler country.
I hate Philly with a passion being a diehard Cowboys fan since I was a kid, and likewise can’t stand Siriani. But when I saw him start crying, it made me tear up like crazy. It’s one of those moments where you’re like “damn it, on the field, I HATE you. As a fellow American sharing this moment, I love you.”
I do not care for most country music, but I could listen to him for hours. The man has a soul and his singing is amazing. Tons of great songs and his live performances are better than many of the recorded versions. New Rabbit hole
Chris Stapleton and Ren... This channel is the shizzle!! Funny how you have come across 2 of the greatest story tellers through song and they couldn't be any more further apart in genre. Both of these 2 are absolute GOATS! You guys and Knox i literally cant get enough of!
Might feel like our soul is slipping away but faithful dedication is worth the sweat and blood. Trends come and fail. I have to believe we have brighter days ahead... just going to take a lot of pain to get there from here. Peace and Love to you and yours!
I could see your history as a military brat by your reaction. I have seen people in awe, I've seen them cry, yours was the first one where you removed your hat, put it over your heart lip synced and even closed your eyes a few times. Bravo.
Not quite right. One stands for the Pledge and places their hand over their heart. (Unless they have a Constitutionally protected objection to swearing to a symbol.) One stands for the Anthem and men remove their hats, women do not. (Exceptions as above.) Arms/hands should be at the side or held in front or behind. Placing one's hands over the heart for the Anthem is incorrect.
I can tell that you are the child of a veteran....the automatic reaction of taking off your hat was heart warming!! Thank your parents for serving us all!!
Never seen this before and this might be the best rendition I've ever seen as well. Can you imagine doing that live at the f'n SuperBowl and hitting every note like THAT?!
This is a good heartfelt rendition. I hadn't heard it before, so thank you. ❤ But you should listen to Jimmi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner. It's mind blowing what he could do to a guitar. 🤯🤯🤯
If I could sing like Chris Stapleton, I would literally never shut up! I'm here for you guys doing more reactions of him.. you'll be almost as blown away as you are with H Mack
The Chris Stapleton well is deep! I don't care for his songs that sound like current pop country but his bluesy rock, as well as his ballads, are superb! Death Row is one of my favorites!!!
If you want some legit Chris Stapleton gloriousness, you have to watch him play an acoustic version of a song he wrote with an old band of his called “Barely Alive” in a Nashville bar years ago. It is on a cheap garbage cell phone and people are eating and such (you can hear the clanking of the plates) and when he gets going it is unbelievable. You can hear them blown away by his voice, and it’s legit power. Soul crushing it what it is
this past superbowl.. February 2023...if you don't love this. you don't love our country and this amazing rendition of our anthem. I never thought anyone would come close to Whitney doiing our Anthem... but Chris did
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate the respect you showed by not only removing your hat,but remaining quite through the entire song. I've watched other reactions to this performance, and there was laughing at the players crying, not removing hats etc.,but what REALLY got me,was when one of the reactors knelt down on one knee and held up a fist, then started apologizing for doing it while laughing...
