Imagine traveling back in time to 2002 with a copy of No Way Home & showing it to people who just saw Spider-Man 1. Sure, they wouldn't understand 90% of what's happening in it, but if you told them that there would be 8 live action Spider Man movies in 20 years they would likely be both surprised yet excited for what's to come.
And the comic peeps who knew of spiderverse would be so pissed to wait 20 years just for that to happen Imagine knowing it would happen in 20 years and counting each day
Bro, this is a Spider-Man movie coming section not a video about church. If you want to talk about that, go find a video like that where you can talk about that XD@@blitzFN100
As much as I enjoy seeing people react knowing who he is, I gotta say it's a lot more fun when people who don't know Daredevil see him catch the brick.
Now you know why everyone told you not to skip a single Spider-Man movie lol. This was the culmination of 3 different Spider-Man franchises spanning nearly 2 decades, and the pay-off felt so rewarding 🔥🕷️
I like that, despite the fact Max thought nobody cared about or noticed him, Connors not only recognized him but remembered his appearance pre-Electro.
So, Fun Fact: The actors who voiced Lizard and Sandman in this movie, Rhys Ifans and Thomas Haden Church are the same actors who played them in Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3, but they couldn't come into the studio (Either due to Covid or schedule conflicts) so they could only provide voice overs for their characters. All the human footage you see of them is just reused footage from the original movies.
Oh, I was wondering why I was getting deja vu during those scenes! I could've sworn I'd seen those same expressions and the body language in the other movies to the exact T. I had a hunch, especially with Sandman, that it was reused. That's interesting.
@@forlornhauntedghost Yeah. Considering you couldn't see either of them in human form until the very end, and I watched Spider-Man 3 so many times as a kid that I immediately recognised that scene, I instantly knew. And yeah upon looking it up, they could only give their voice overs.
I like how they characterize Spider-Man in this film. Spider-Man, it’s one of those superheroes who opposes killing his enemies with all of his heart. Not to say that Spider-Man has never killed, but most of the time it was either an accident or Peter was in the wrong state of mind the time. So this film tests that moral compass by giving him a scenario where he knows he could easily send all these villains back to their homes at any moment, but he knows that if he does that their deaths will be on his hands.
Imagine if tobey never stopped Tom's peter from killing goblin, i dont think it'd be just one strike with the glider he'd keep going until his stamina ran out
Imagine for those who saw the Spider Man movies when they originally came out. How the fans felt seeing these characters team up and cross over! The emotions in the cinema were insane for this movie!!!
I grew up on Tobey's Spider-Man movies, and later on Andrew's Spider-Man. Seeing both of them, and hearing hints of their original soundtracks in certain scenes, was and still is an amazing experience. Spectacular, even.
@py16667 the death has no emotion, the plot is full of plot holes like Electro, Dr Strange being beaten by simple geometry, unnecessary jokes in a story where it shouldn't have any because of the context, bring back someone else nemesis to be his nemesis is stupid and lazy. It has almost nothing to be a great spider man story sorry.
@@Iletyoulivebro what the hell are you saying spider verse movies are so overrated compared to this masterpiece There is a reason this movie is one of the highest grossing movie of all time
The way he reacted to everything (except the daredevil cameo lol) pretty much just makes me remember watching this in theatres and hearing the roaring boom of excitement and applause from the audience just EPIC!
The thing is, spider man doesn’t kill people at all. All the villains that died to spider man, he never wanted them dead. Green goblin accidentally killed himself when spider man dodged his glider, doctor Octopus died because he came to senses and had to sacrifice himself in order to stop his machine from destroying a huge part of New York (at least I believe that was the case, I saw that movie many years ago so correct me if I am wrong). The only villains that was purposefully killed was electro. The other spidermen would have done the same as this spider man.
Goblin was one of those villains that were like "if you don't kill me I'm just going to keep fucking with you". I honestly never understood that. If you get back up, Spiderman is just going to hurt you again. And it's going to hurt.
100% agree, especially if you watch it in a non-american cinema. people there are shouting and cheering like its some live play :D we did giggle at funny moments but otherwise it was quiet
I watched the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon series as a kid & 1 of my favorite elements to it was The Sinister 6, so Spider-Man No Way Home was probably the closest we'll ever get to a live action version Spider Man Vs. Sinister Six.
I think we will see the sinister six, now that the multiverse is into play, cause we saw a shadow of Rhino in No Way Home in the sky in the last scene and venom is gonna be in the next movie.
Seeing this on Christmas at the opening day was so special. Being able to see 3 live action Spider-Mans together in a movie was a dream come true. I am 26 years old and i was screaming like a little kid when i first saw Tobey and Andrew showing up. Amazing feeling. Also the lawyer is called Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. He's blind, but he got extremely good senses. I recommend checking out the Daredevil show. His cameo was great and unexpected!
27:40 outside of all the magnificent storylines and action scenes this movie gave us, separate thanks for the single most realistic portrayal of an approaching panic attack in mainstream media. That feeling when you know it's coming, your heartbeat overpowers outside sounds and you simply feel drowning in all of it.
The lawyer that catches the brick towards the start is Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. He's got enhanced senses and therefore was able to hear the brick being thrown. Totally reccomend checking out the Daredevil show, it's amazing!
Your mentality around Peter's decision to help the villains isn't necessarily wrong, it just tells me that you wouldn't be a good Spider-Man. Because Spider-Man will always try to save anyone in need, regardless of who they are.
Don : "How did he manage to catch that ! he wasn't even looking !" Knowing the guy was literaly blind, since it's Daredevil, I was lol'ing so much my neighbours heard it. XDXDXD Thanks, man ! I need that :D
Unfortunately the scenes where the lizard and sand man turned back to human were just old shots from the old movies as the actors weren't able to actually appear in this film, to those who don't immediately recognize the shots it's hard to tell so it's still well done.
The best parts of this movie was easily the interactions between each of the spider men. Like it legit just feels like the actors just being themselves with the other spider men. Like the talk about the villians and the web stuff, it just felt like Tobey, Andrew and Tom just having a normal conversation
Little side note...you said that spiderman wouldn't just kill villains so there must be a reason behind it and thats why you didn't understand why Peter would help them. Just thinking about this, we all just watched the movies, but Peter just know himself as Spidey, so he couldn't know if the other spideys are friendly or Bad..meaning the vilains could have been killed without a reason and thats why he want to save them.
Peter killed goblin, curing norman killed the goblin. The others tried to stop him from killing Norman because of his rage seing them as the same person.
3:50 that lawyer is actually a superhero, his name is Daredevil, he actually is blind, but he has heightened senses like hearing and smelling, he uses it fight crime, one of his biggest villains is Kingpin, the big guy from into the spider-verse movie, if you want to learn more about him you should check out the show Daredevil, in the future they are giving him another show in the mcu! edit: he is already in the mcu, obviously from his cameo in this movie, and then he appears in the she-hulk show, but soon in the future he gets his own mcu show
that's actually not a "black suit" in the beginning of the movie we get a little scene in which peter gets paint all over his suit (I belive it was the one in which he fought mysterio), so he just flipped the suit inside out, you can kinda see the cables that power up all the fancy tech it has. if i were to say every detail this movie had I would write an essay 20 ft long. instead imma just recommend the videos on the details in this movie from the channel TheCanadianLad, because he summed all the amazing details up very well and I enjoyed watching those videos a lot.
multiverse time!! spider-man no way home!! don is so lucky that he doesn't have to wait for any of these films or series to come out, when he want to watch them, he just watch them
I think, if you have the chance to save someone's life, you should always take it, even if that person is a criminal or has done some really bad things. You never know, it might change his way of thinking and turn him into a better person. And if it doesn't... well, at least you tried.
This really is one of the most sad stories imo, many mistakes just made it into such a big problem. I'm curious of how this will change spiderman as a hero interacting with the other ones after nobody remembers Peter.
the thing as well is a lot of the amazing Spiderman's villains were deluded by their powers or didn't have all the cards on the table and most of toby Maguire villains become superpowered but gained literal mental health issues as a result otto has his arms constantly whispering and yelling at him so he basically is in a body driven by 8 different people all wanting different and osborn ended up having Dissociative identity disorder with a personality that is a sadist and the complete opposite of Osborn in terms of wants like in the first Spiderman you can tell when Osborn is speaking and when the goblin is. but it's really sad because when you look at it a lot of them if they didn't have the mental disorders caused by how they gianed their powers would have become possibly hero's like max/electro was literally the nicest sweetest man you could have working in a corpo job but just when off the deep end
@@yugioh5ds2011 Blud doesn't like comments, bother responding to them or even following them. Sure, he can do his own thing, but we can still call him out for it
The person who caught the brick was Daredevil. Honestly we should have requested you to watch it before this. It is a series. Also the actor for Lizard and Sandman filmed no new scenes so I guess they got people who sounded similar and reused footage. Also also the actor who plays The Green Goblin did most of his stunts. He is pretty old so it was very impressive.
Jelous of you going through the MCU for the first time haha. And dope that you watched Wanda Vision before Dr Strange 2...a lot of ppl didn't and that's a mistake 100% imo
When Peter’s soul was ejected from his body, you could see the Spidey-Sense tingling around him. When I first saw this movie in theaters, I didn’t notice that the three Peters were pointing at each other. I was laughing because they were saying the same thing at the same time. De La Soul’s song The Magic Number has three different meanings tied to this film: 1.) It’s the third MCU Spider-Man entry 2.) MCU Peter teamed up with two variants 3.) Peter, his best friend Ned, and his girlfriend Michelle were a trinity. De La Soul’s entire discography is finally being released on all digital platforms. Sadly though, one of their members known as Trugoy the Dove has passed away this February at 54 years old. @50:35 @50:40 The purple tears in the sky showed a number of variants of Spider-Man characters. Among them included a version of Kraven the Hunter and a more humanoid Rhino. Kraven is one of several characters getting their own films in the SSU (Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.) He’s a hunter who specializes in creating ingenious traps to catch his game including Spider-Man. Kraven was portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson who was also Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film was set for this October, but due to the ongoing actors and writers strike the film has been postponed for August of next year.
Great reaction! The whole point of this style is sharing a movie with someone who's excited, with good humor and clever enough to follow the plot - this was great. Just love your enthusiasm.
Okay the one thing about Spider-man in the comics and the MCU Spidy share is they want to help people. If Spidy can save the villon and get them on the right path he would rather do that before just beating them up. Also Spidy will not kill unless there is absolutely no choice and when he does it weighs on his soul. Great power comes great responsibility is more than a catch phrase to Peter, it us a montra on how he lives his life.
People still remember Spider-Man, just not Peter. Also, the lawyer was Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil. This trilogy is weird because it’s all an origin story. Now we have his homemade suit with no tech listening to the police scanner, secret identity intact , even to other heroes. This movie basically washed away 99% of my criticisms of the MCU Spidey.
The scene where Spidy is keeping the box away from Strange is because the spider sense works automatically. Spidy's body would doge attacks if Peter could just quite his head and trust the sense.
Some of these guys didn't ask to be villains some of them were curse with power, like Max he was he sweet and misunderstood guy then he fell into the eel pool.
I can't recommend enough the Spectacular Spider-Man series which is the best and most accurate interpretation of Spider-Man outside the comics along with the Spider-Verse movies and I guarantee that you will love it.
Spiderverse movies don't have good adaptations tho, they can't even write Peter B. Parker properly in the second movie, bro doesn't even hesitate to bring his first and only child to a battlefield ( Sony is definitely doing it for the toy sales and "cute" moments in the third movie) even tho MJ said not to bring the child on his missions, what happened to not disobeying MJ? ITSV's Peter B. Parker would have never brought his child to the battlefield
@@guilhemgalceranrial4085 understandable, have a nice day but it being a movie doesn't excuse the bad writing, and how easily people overlook it which makes the movie so overrated
I'm sure you know by now but the brick guy is Dare devil 😂😂 Fingers crossed for a spider man & dare devil cross over eventfully... That was amazing spider man redemption arc & no he couldn't have saved Gwen by diving don't forget green goblin was attacking him too In the process.
When Peter is separated from his physical form and keeps avoiding Strange's attempts to grab the Macchina di Kadavus from him, that's Peter's Spidey-Sense and if look closely to his astral form when they do the close ups, you can see translucent squiggly lines coming from his head which is how they sometimes depicted his Spidey-Sense in the comics. Super cool detail imo.
So the lawyer who caught the brick at the beginning of the movie is Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. And by the way, he’s BLIND. So because he’s blind, he’s learned to heighten his other senses. You should watch the _Daredevil_ TV series; it’s one of the best live-action superhero adaptations to ever exist in my opinion.
Don if you reember during the beginning of Across the spider verse Miguel (spider man 2099) says thsis phrase to Gwen “Don't even get me started on Dr.Strange and that little nerd on earth 199999” Yes he was talking about the incidents in no way home, you see at the end when Dr.Strange said the universes were colliding, their universe was about to be destroyed due to the canon being disrupted but Strange prevented it from happening.
Imagine ned turning into a villain now yelling in their final battle with peter something among the lines like “you promised you’d make me remember” or something like that
Not gonna lie, this movie, despite some flaws you may find in it, was a fckin miracle. As a person who grew up watching Spider-Man movies and reading comic books, I had a blast watching it. My only wish would be to not have gotten spoiled. People told me every damn spoiler months before even the trailer came out. They were like "Dude, have you heard about MARVEL hiring Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire for undisclosed roles in a future project?" and showed me photos of them on set, and I was like, "well, shit". Obviously, I was insanely hyped up, but pissed at the same time. Imagine finding it out for yourself during the movie? Although, if I had the chance to selectively wipe my memory about this specific movie and immediately watch it without getting spoiled, I probably wouldn't do it. I will 100% be dead by the time Tobey arrives. Even knowing what was going to happen, I was hyped af, still am to this day. MARVEL are actually amazing
This movie sets up so many possibilities. It cures all the villains, so any franchise can continue with new possibilities. Like for example with an ARC Rector Otto finally has "The power of the sun, in the palm of his hand". It opens the possibilities for Venom in Tom's universe
The best thing about the "what's your favorite movie spiderman" is that there is no wrong answer, they are all good choices and I think it's amazing that there isn't a "bad" spiderman
3:58 "Who is this brother?" Matt Murdock aka "Daredevil". Check out his series "Daredevil". It's a really great series and worth checking out. :) Especially if your going in "Hawkeye", It'll explain the big bad in that show. :)
Don’t think u understand how dis hit in cinema, especially the 3 of them swinging 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 And tobey is no.1 all the way man really fought green goblin in his 1st movie and defeated him baring in mind he was a amateur back then
You can always tell who didn't watch the Netflix Daredevil series by how they react - or don't react - to Peter's lawyer. Yes, that is Matt Murdock, also known as the vigilante Daredevil. He's kinda like Marvel's Batman if Batman was blind and wasn't a billionaire. He and Spider-Man have crosed paths and teamed up many times in the comics because they both operate in New York City, but this is the first time they've met in live-action.
It’s really wonderful that both Neighborhood Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man were trying to help out the third Spider-Man like he’s a little brother to them.
as a big spider-man fan. peter wanting to save his villains is literally just the most "spider-man" thing peter has done in the MCU. his desire to help people regardless of what they've done is the whole point of the character.
The lawyer was Matt Murdock, the civilain identity of Daredevil. Its confirmed that his Disney+ series "Daredevil: Born Again" will be set in the 5th phase of the MCU. "I'm not seeking penance for what i've done, father. Im asking forgiveness for what im about to do."
Spiderman 3 is gonna be venom for sure bc after the credit sence we se eddie (not from tobeys universe) and he was talking about the avengers and then he was like "i gotta see this spiderman guy" and then when he was disappearing back to his universe he left behind venom and it moved
The lawyer is Matt Murdock, the Daredevil. You'll meet him in the Netflix series of the same name. Just know that he's blind, has badass reflexes, and a superhero suit you'll see in a couple of series down the road.
My favorite Spider-Man breakdown: (Live Action) 1. Tom Holland 2. Andrew Garfield 3. Tobie Maguire Favorite Spider-Man: Miles Morales who is also the most powerful Spider-Man in comics. I Really hope they make a live action Miles Morales Spider-Man movie.
From what I read, because of the spell, his Stark suit wouldn't work with him because no one or no thing knows Peter Paker. I think it's a little lame but that's kind of the mentality around that.
14:05 yeah that's why green goblin from Sam Ramis films once said "The one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually, they will hate you."
