My aunt and uncle started dating in 9th grade and now they're married and they have never broken up before and r still in love

I'm starting my sophomore year next week and the one thing I have learned in the past year is that you honestly find out so much about people. I realized the people I thought I knew are not who they appear to be.

I'm 23 years old & it's always good to hear the "be yourself" advice. If I could give my 14 year old self advice it would definitely be to not worry about others & accept that not everyone is going to like you. I really enjoyed this x

Class of 2018 :) yay for being a freshman

Sadly my high school experience was a terrible one. I never did any after school activities because I didn't like any of the kids in my school and I never wanted to spend more time there than I had to. I never made any friends at all, by I started school with 4 friends and by the end of freshman I had 0. I went on the rest of the 3 years without any friends at all. Sat alone at lunch, didn't speak the entire day. Worst 4 years of my life. I've been graduated for 3 months now and I miss absolutely nothing. I miss none of the people or anything about high school. Didn't go to any dances, not even prom. Never went to games or pep rallys. It was basically hell for me.But I'm going to be a freshman in college in about a month and a half and I'm excited!

Every year of high school sucked except senior year because I started being comfortable with myself. With that, I don't miss high school.

nope.. the hardest classes are what colleges are looking for. If getting into an actual good college is what your goal is, you have to take AP level classes. Not necessarily in freshman year, because most schools don't even offer AP classes for freshmen. Colleges won't care about all A's in normal classes.

*Could someone help me :/?* So , I started school 2 days ago , and tomorrow is my third day of High School being a freshmen , It seems that everyone has already made friends and I'm literally still just there :/ , Could anyone help me on how to start a conversation without getting super nervous :/ ? I'm not typically shy but being around taller people and everyone else being so confident makes me so shy that it's just so awful , help please anyone .

I'm going to be a sophomore and i got my braces off this summer, cleared up my acne, lost ten pounds and died my hair! So I'm going in a whole new person. Also I'm on my high schools dance team, speech team and art club :)

I hate to say it but high school was the worst for me. I tried so hard to enjoy it, I played rugby, I tried to get along with everyone. But it sucked for me, in grade 11 I was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and bulimia. Highschool made it impossible for me to even consider recovering. I constantly compared myself to the people I attending school with, and I also dated the "popular" guy for 2 and a half years. I was always known as the girl dating the MVP of the football and rugby team, the cool guy. I was never an individual. He also convinced me to change who I was as a person, I started to not care about my classes because he made me feel that our relationship was the most important thing. The school I went to was very cliquey and there was almost a pyramid, if you weren't taking advanced classes, you were pretty much nobody. I regret my high school experience, I wish I could do it over again. Because I graduated high school a year late due to my conditions, and I haven't come out of it with any friends that I still talk to. Its hard. I am still fighting my recovery with my illnesses, because my experience just makes me feel as if theres no point in trying with anything. I don't feel like I have ANY support at all and I feel even more lost now because I have nothing to look back on of those 5 years.

Am I the only one who thinks she gives the best advice since she graduated and actually 100% done with high school? All the other people are like still in high school and don't know as much as her. This is probably the most helpful back to school tips.

I'll be a junior this year (yay c/o 2016!) and I'm so worried. I'm starting a new school and the classes are the hardest I've ever taken. I'm taking French 3, AP US history, medical terminology, honors physics, AP psychology, honors precalculus, and honors English 3 but luckily the school I'm going to has block schedule and you only have to take 4 classes per semester! And like you said I have to take the sat and act at the end of the year but I also have to take the psat to hopefully try and be a national merit finalist because they always get the best scholarships!

Going into my sophomore year and my regret as a freshman was not opening up as much, especially to boys. And im in the exact same situation as you were, where all my friends have boyfriends. I took all honors classes my freshman year, and doubled up on math, and i personally regret it so much. I still got good grades, but i feel like i would of had so many more opportunities if I didn't do that!!! I still take honors and ap maths, but that's it.. So it you really like a subject or are good at it, work at that one class/pathway and you might have more fun. :)

I just graduated high school and about taking hard classes, I think it's best to take those tougher classes just to be safe in case you realize you want to apply to colleges.

I really loved this video, every other survival guide I've watched has been geared around bullying (something i never experienced thankfully) but yours was about enjoyable things and experiences through out high school. Great Job Lindsey, I'm going to definitely keep everything you said in mind :) I'm going into grade 10 and this video is very helpful.
