I'm really hoping Tri Stringer gets some much needed buffs, a weapon who's main way of killing is by jumping and shooting should be able to charge faster in the air.

Hit box for arrows is tini, you can kill horizontally, its just way harder. It's better to trap with then hit directs. Bout 60% of my kills are placing arrows where they want to go leaving them the choice of die to my Frontline or back up and die to my arrows. If anything, if they give it a tiny hit box increase it will get more consistent on kills. However this may also break the balance as well, as at that point as just a charger with benefits.

I'm honestly surprised that it doesn't work like a squiffer because the general theme of bows in games is that they're built for fast ranged pressure and the stringer really fails at that "fast" part

The Tenta Missles nerf is a maybe, probably biased since i’ve never really been targeted by tenta missiles that much For the glowflies nerf, ABSOLUTELY YES. Out of the good amount of times i’ve encountered Glowflies I think I’ve only passed it 2 or 3 times, and those were in a very high salmon run rank (I’m currently in the Profreshional levels)

One very simple change I would like to see is giving Tri Strike the ability to go into squid form/swim while it is active. Similar to what they did to tenta missiles and stingray in 2

I'd also argue the REEF-FLUX shouldn't have the ability to do that since nobody uses that feature much anyway.

They should have just combined Toxic Mist and Point Sensor they feel like two underwhelming effects that could be decent if you put them together Edit: It would still work like toxic mist, just would track you when you get hit by mist like point sensor, but not the mist effects

Toxic mist is good in open maps or against backline. Point sensor is good for some weapons but combining them would be crazy

Things I Want to See: 1.) Lessen the Booyah Bomb armor or increase damage multipliers against it. It's too hard to break at the moment, especially compared to other specials that give HP. 2.) Give the Tri-Stringer a charge hold and increase its paint slightly to allow it to make consistent ink trails to swim in. 3.) Allow Triple Inkstrike users to go into squid form while the special is active and take it away from Tenta Missiles (I saw this somewhere and I agree). 4.) Bugs and glitches concerning the Brellas and Ultra Stamp, should be toned down at the very least to make them more usable and consistent. Damage of the splat and Tenta Brella pellets should be reverted to how it was in Splatoon 2 before getting nerfed. 5.) Increase shooter weapons' end lag slightly, remove L-3's RNG when jumping. Probably unlikely for the first balance patch. 6.) Nerf the sloshing machine by reducing its hit box rather significantly, and making its shots unable to bypass certain walls which is something it's not supposed to do in the first place. 7.) Give Octobrush the same ink resistance effect as Inkbrush.

Some changes I’d like to see in salmon run: - tri-stringer and grizzco stringer after explosions count as bombs like explosher shots - golden eggs are double in value during glowflies - golden eggs will not spread out during glowflies

Yes, you need to get close, but not too close or your weapon will completely miss and do no damage. Give it a swing hit box like it had in Splatoon 1 so that if you hit the opponent with the brush itself, it also does damage, not just the ink. If Splatanas can have this, theres no reason why brushes shouldn't.

I don't know, I've been using Inkbrush a lot and it honestly feels fine in this game, getting in range of an enemy is usually a death sentence for them, it kills very fast. I think it's in a very good place right now.

I also think that object shredder could use a buff. IT could use a damge increase against the objects in the game especially when big bubbler is a thing.

My hopes: (Specials only) Don’t just fix stamp but also buff it Make tenta missiles not be able to one shot unless you only lock onto one person with the ten missiles (needs a rework but that’s not gonna happen) Lower Booyah armor just a little bit Make Trizooka Rainmaker weight and make it make a noise when you pull it out Give Tacticooler RP effects while keeping the qr Can act out of Reef Slider faster Can swim with Tri strike until you use 1 of your Strikes Vac can be shot directly after you finish eating ink Slightly faster depletion of big bubbler if you shoot the top Less Ink consumption on zipcaster Inkjet is VERY slightly faster air speed Pretty good balance though a lot of this is minor tweaks

I’d like to see a new ranked mode I thought of (could use some tweaks). Ultimate Turf War There’s a 100 unit timer like Zones, but they don’t give penalty points. You start your timer by putting the opponent in danger and the opponent stops it by inking until they have the turf lead. Simple and fixes regular turf battle flaws. Also gets very casual players interested in Anarchy.

I DO think increasing the points reef-lux needs for special a tiny bit would be a good idea just because of how much it paints, though I don't know how necessary that'd be if tenta missiles ended up getting nerfed. Also, I honestly think that being able to see the basic reticle before charging would be a good change for stringers. The reef-lux especially would be able to take advantage of its quick charge time a bit better and it may provide a bit of help to feel out where your shots are coming from in the middle of the action.

@@possumorb3770 yeah, I find that a large majority of my plays end up failing because I stub my toe in ink, or an enemy spray and pray hits the tip of my pinkie toe, and lose all momentum.

Yeah Inkbrush is a fine weapon. I hear it’s considered a top tier weapon. Haven’t heard anyone talk about how good Octobrush is. I’ve easily made it to S rank with inkbrush with the gear the game first gives you. No stars added.

Using Triple Inkstrike should allow you to go into squid form and attack with your main weapon, this won't be broken and makes the special more fun and engaging to use instead of standing and being wide vulnerable.

A cool rework i thought for opening gambit is to just give it the ability to get the gear perks after a kill no matter what and rename it to something like adrenaline rush and with a couple of tweaks to how much ap you get i just think it would be better but ig it would ruin the whole concept of a perk that strengthens you only at the start so it could just be its own ability

Yeah, an idea I had was to buff it to last 1 minute, and every kill you get adds 15 seconds to the effect. So if you play super aggressive and get a bunch of kills at the first minute, you can extend the effect for the whole game, but if you die you'll lose 20 seconds, so it's high risk-high reward, a Gambit.

Although I do like the death part, it makes the ability more of a Gambit, since if it goes well it can get a lot of value, but if it goes badly you will get punished and waste your ability.

@@babywizard9027 It's not a bad idea, though I worry it'd be an overnerf considering that this is a *main* ability that you are going to be losing out on if it runs out. I'd test it out without the death part and see how it plays out before getting as far as getting punished for death.

personally they should rework inkmine so you can place 3 insted of 2 and also as a new gimmic of having to hold the R button to make all of them explode, also buff marker (angle shooter, gross name) so where ever it shoots it also covers the area its shot at in a line of ink, and also toxic mist should make enemy shots about 15% less effective because it already sucks and the curent weapons its on atm just... cant use it (looking at you tri slosher and stringer) also nerf reef special spam to 210 because its an acual problem edit: AND FIX STAMP, whoever copy pasted the data for stamp from 2 to 3 should be fired cause its basiclly trying to catch a fly with chop sticks when someones 2 pixels next to the stamp itself, also make the front of it block shots more

That Inkmine thing doesn't seem that useful. It already detonates when an enemy is close and when it gets inked, which are the two reasons you'd want to detonate them. Though having 3 seems like a reasonable buff as long as the distance between placing them isn't to the point of where you can get three in a row to basically kill someone and make flanking something like an E-Liter or Hydra with them (since they're likely to get them with new kits) nearly impossible.

I should also mention the angle shooter inking where it is shot at isn't the best plan considering that's Curling Bomb's main (and arguably only) gimmick. I'd buff it in different ways if possible, such as what the video described.

@@thesaltgod the reason why i think detonating all ink mines is a good thing is cause i wanted to remake a sort of bubble blower mass explosion but in a much less deadly form, also because the tracking of inkmine is larger then the acual ink mine so it could be situational, also it adds a niche to ink mine cause its literlly trash exept on tower control and maybe rain maker

@@memetea3562 Ink Mine is really darn good for Splat Zones for keeping the zone your color when you're not around, and it's strong in Rainmaker for making moving forward all the more difficult. Additionally, as more weapons get Ink Mine that get more use out of it (i.e. Heavy/Hydra Splatling or the longer range Chargers), it's certainly not going to be entirely outclassed. As for the Point Sensor thing you want to make the manual detonation into, not only is that possibly the biggest waste of an Ink Mine that you can have, but we don't need more subs that are used nearly identically to Point Sensor. I'd just take the 3 mines and call it good.

Personally, I think that toxic mist should deal damage over time, like ink storm. It would help solidify it as an area denial tool

@@ajmoment8091 Yeah, if they just increased the radius and made it so the effect lingers for one second after you exit the radius, like a mini disruptor, it could be a really good sub weapon. Of course, this would come with some nerfs to compensate, such as significantly increased ink consumption, since it's a larger radius and has a more powerful effect, it consumes much more ink.

I think toxic mist should have more negative effects. Maybe slowly drain special charge or maybe even more ink consumption for both main and sub. Also make it so sub power up increases the effectiveness of all the effects by a little amount

Honestly toxic mist can be good at warding off players in some ranked modes, supporting rainmaker, denying access to splat zones etc. But idk if it's just lower ranks and at higher levels people will push through mist regardless?

special charge drain hell no lmaoo /lh but yeah they should bring back the Disruptor's effect of Increasing Ink consumption of mani and sub weapons tbh plus the sub power up ability is like kinda underutilized imo so yeah, giving more effects outside of just S1's Throwing Range Up would be good! even if that effects is toned down for other to take place!

All the "nerf tenta missiles" this and "rework tenta missiles" that, I have a much more extreme, and unfortunately unrealistic take on the subject. Just straight up remove tenta missiles. They are completely out of place compared to every other special weapon, and just do too much at once. Global range displacement and tracking is not a healthy addition to the game. Not to mention it is incredibly similar to the Killer Wail 5.1, so it's existence in the game cant even be justified with providing a unique experience, unless you want to count playing turf war in ranked and winning a unique experience. Only 3 weapons have them right now, so its better to do it now than later. And before anyone says "oh X weapon would be useless without missiles" I say to you, a weapon should not be balance around its special weapon. Giving a weak weapon a strong special is not balancing, its using a bandaid to cover up flaws in game design. I say tear off that bandaid right now, get rid of missiles for good, and the game will be better off because of it.

Besides the whole Missiles argument. I don’t particularly agree the fact that a weapon should not be balanced around its special weapon. There is a weapon that whose whole role is is basically turfing and special spam, and that’s the Aerospray. Aerospray rn has an aggressive special that’s basically a bit more easy to counter, and it’s not exactly what Aerospray wants. I’m not saying give it Missiles, but I am saying that Aerospray is dependent on having a good special to function well.(plus Suction or Burst Bombs). Because all it can do is special spam and that’s it. It’s a horrible fighter unless it has Burst Bombs.

It's a displacement special like the others, and it absolutely is the best at what it does, but I have a feeling there's a reason why Missiles were only given to three weapons, one of them being Gootuber. Clearly the balance team is testing the waters on how much Tentamissiles warps the metagame. I have no doubt that if Gootuber or Flingza becomes way too popular compared to other weapons in their classes, the balance team will take a look, but for now it's mostly fine.

"Global range displacement and tracking is not a healthy addition to the game." I disagree. If this was a normal shooter, this would be a good point. However, Splatoon is a shooter with a very strong emphasis on area denial. If the enemy has control over the map, you can't go anywhere until you reclaim area yourself. Strong long ranged displacement tools are absolutely required in such a game, or it would be super easy to lock out opponents. Also, it looks like Killer Wail 5.1 was designed to displace _during_ fights and not initiate them like Missiles do.

I feel like a buff that the angle shooter should get is that if someone moves through the line after it’s thrown it should still do damage since it’s already difficult to hit a target in the first place with it

For line marker I think it would be fun to leave it at base 30 damage but let its damage increase by 10 for every ricochet before it hits with maybe a cap at 60. This would encourage it to be the trick shot sub and would give a reason for its coolest function.

Yoo that's awesome, its easy to get a single bounce by aiming the floor to hit ahead of you, but getting anything more than that is difficult especially with how much of the maps are open space

I can easily say that they should do something about the reef slider, it's far too easy to kill the user after the explosion, they should at least have a few more invincibility frames, like with Booyah Bomb and baller.

Bit surprised you didn’t talk about ninja squid and the maps being a severe issue for the special tacticooler cause the maps are way too open and there isn’t much cover, where you are easily suspectible to backliners like chargers, splatlings and etc.

Ninja Squid is quite strong right now, but it is counterable with Point Sensor and Toxic Mist. It's just that the current meta doesn't usually use these subs, so by buffing them and making them more useful, it sort of acts as indirect nerfs to Ninja Squid. As for map problems? Yeah, those need fixed, but that's not really as much to do with balance and is probably outside the scope of this video.

As someone who has mained L-3 in rain maker since before the first content patch of splatoon 2, I absolutely approve of these buffs. I would say I need a bit more sub saver now but thats fine since I would need less action up.

i really want more changes for salmon run. it should be programmed so that bosses like the slammin lid cant just stack on top of eachother. theres also just tons of glitches for some reason, like maybe instead of the flyfish randomly spitting out ur bomb, it could kinda magnetize it not to where its sucking it in but so you dont need perfect aim and can keep moving after throwing ur bomb easier idk

My idea for an opening gambit rework would be making it work like lde, but for pushing the other team. It'd give you the it's normal effects from the start of the game, but it'd start giving you lesser but permanent effects once you push the objective to either 70 or 50. Or if that's too broken, it'd give you permanent swim/run speed and ink res since the start of the match (maybe 2 mains worth), and it would give you less of the effects the further of a lead you get. For example: if you have a 50 point lead you'd only be getting 2/3 subs worth of swim run and ink res. You would keep the full 2 mains worth if you're not in the lead.

I'm with you 100% on the Undercover damage buff. Raising the damage cap to 45 will enable a two-shot/shield-ram combo and let you more effectively follow up on indirect Ink Mine/Reefslider hits. I might also give it a slight ink efficiency buff, because I feel like I'm forever running out of ink with the darn thing. I'd cut the per-shot ink consumption from 4% to 3.6%, so you get two extra shots on a full ink tank and one extra shot after using a mine.

For what I think of Missile, I could say they can function the same but they would no longer chase the player. The missile will still displace the player, will let player recon but it will not follow the player so you know to start a push toward that location. (I'm aware it sounds like better Tri strike) And with that, the radius around the mark when set can be widen and randomly chosen when the missile explode. Alternatively, maybe the tracking could look like Killer Wail's that when you activate the special, it will shoot immidiately for a random set distance if track no one when the first set shot, then second, third, forth shot with the mark reveals where players are like Killer Wail's but the mark DISAPPEARS immidiately when all the shots are done. Otherwise, having a line of sight to be able to shoot is already a lot better.

6:30 An Idea my friends and I had was that Opening Gambit would give you 7.5 seconds of the buffs after you use a special since using a special creates an opening for you to abuse. Maybe the amount of buffs you get during the 7.5 seconds would be reduced, but I think it would be a great idea for weapons that are more special reliant, though it might end up being used on Special Spammers depending how it's implemented

I'd increase direct impact damage of the burst bomb, but nothing else on it. I consistently hit enemies with it right on the head/body area, but it does no additional damage, so I'd kinda like to see an increase in damage when that happens.

my idea for a tenta missile rework was to give you an in air camera that you can move around and a line of sight coming from said camera to where you aim (like a charger’s) the camera is directly above you and cannot aim through walls it gives you three shots, and some missiles rain down in the general area you targeted while using it, you can still be attacked, but you get a weak shield and damage reduction when the shield is broken until you fire all the shots so you’d have to make a choice, jump back home to be safe while using it, or have a better view and be able to target enemies closer to their home, and it would decrease the amount you would want to try and spam it

I had the idea that they do to Opening Gambit what they did to Bomb Resistance and Cold Blooded back in 2; merge it into one ability (being with Comeback) then replace everything piece of gear it had with a new, useful ability. I had a few ideas for what this new ability could be One makes you regain 30% of health upon kill (5% for assist) and you also regain the amount of of ink your opponent had when you splatted them (this part is not affected assists) The other makes you a supporter in turn of making you have the effects of Respawn Punisher when you die. Teammate who jump to you will have reduced jump time, and will have three subs of Swim/Run/Respawn speed for three seconds upon landing, alongside having their ink and hp restored if the ink you fire/fling touches them

Only thing I want is a buff to scoped chargers to make them on par with non-scoped. I think having less visibility and slightly longer range is fair compared to slightly less range but third person peeking. However, the charge hold is massive, especially in this game where the mobility options increased. Squid rolling or just swimming and being able to maintain the charge is HUGE for defensive play. Not only that but your opponents are also moving faster which makes third person so much better compared to 1 and 2 as there is more location information to account for. Give it charge hold, you can even make it so that a scoped charger only has the extra range and scope upon being first charged and when you charge hold it, it functions the same as it's non scoped version

I would love to see tri stringer and reeflux have tighter shot spread at all levels of charge. It would make their one-shot at full charge more consistent, and it would decrease the paint output. That might just be me wanting to have a charger without a laser though.

6:15 I would suggest merging Opening Gambit with Comeback in a way that provides some of the benefits of both (Ink Saver (Main), Ink Saver (Sub), Ink Recovery Up, Ink Resistance Up, Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, Special Charge Up) at the start of each battle and upon respawn, without any time extensions for either case. This will ensure that this merged ability is never useless during battle (unless its user avoids opponents all the time).

I really think the Splatana Wiper could use a light buff of some kind. It feels like a weapon that's meant to be played up close, but has a really hard time getting there. I'd like to see its light swing have its speed buffed, which would also give it a better paint output, making it more reliable to approach with.

I’m going to mention Tri-Stringer in particular. Another problem I’ve had using it is, the area of which the shots snipe seem to be…weaker and more precise now? And I used Tri-Stringer for a lot of lesser rank levels, when the game first came out. I don’t know if I’m just rusty, but the weapon feels like it’s snipe shots don’t even kill reliably anymore, even with the same aim I used to have. They really need to fix that, I think. Not by a lot, just make the RNG of it more reliable.

tri stinger either needs a buff to the size of its explosive shots or the damage from the explosion needs to match a direct charged hit. As it stands the blasts are so small it's a miracle if they manage to hit someone but that doesn't even matter because they cannot combo with direct hits at all causing this weapon to vary wildy between one hit and FOUR hit kill times. Additionally I would trade a slightly longer charge time to make the full charge much easier to land as a one shot, its already finicky to land it on the dummies and they have a bigger hit box than inklings.

Hey PSA: you don’t have to fully charge the squid surge to do the squid surge. As soon as you see the animation, you can let go and it will still do a squid surge. It will be slow, and you won’t pop out as high up, but you still get the armor. And if you run 1-2 subs of IA, charging it for ~.4 seconds gives you around the same effect as spamming jump while climbing. Also, the safest way to climb a wall with squid surge while still being fast is to run around 1-3 subs of IA; first, you will start scaling the wall like normal (fast climbing) then, when you climbed about 60-70% of the way, start charging a squid surge. Your momentum will be carried a bit, and because you’re running a bit of IA, by the time you’ve slowed down to around a third of your original speed, your squid surge would’ve charged enough to carry you the rest of the way, and you will jump up a bit, depending on how much IA you use. (For me I found 2 subs to be the sweet spot for doing this consistently, but the more IA you have the faster you have to let go of the button. If you are running a lot of IA, however, it is faster to just charge a squid surge.

Couple of ideas I wanted to add 1. Have the reticle always on for bamboozler so you can always see what’s going to hit 2. Give non-bomb subs point sensor (besides ink wall), example would be giving toxic mist point sensor as an add on but the effect will only happen outside the mist and for 2-3 seconds. But don’t give this to splash wall I already hate going against .52 gal. 3. Give ultra stamp complete invincibility in the front, this makes ultra stamp its original purpose, a special that is vulnerable from the sides but invincible in the front. As before hand you always felt vulnerable 4. Increase the height of the lob thing for big bubbler so the only way to take advantage of big bubblers weakness is to be on higher ground than the big bubbler 5. Add a sprinkler inside the big bubbler, I dunno kinda wanna see sprinkler used more 6. Give sprinkler more range, higher rate of fire, increase damage, increase health and decrease ink consumption by 1% 7. have the ink on ink wall go down even further. Example would be if you throw ink wall on a tiny block by accident, if the ink goes straight down but doesn’t touch the block but instead the ground, it reaches the ground and still protecting you 8. Slightly reduce range on octo-brush, by an amount that’s barely visible 9. A rework of ballpoint, the first charge is for the high speed inaccurate shots while the 2nd charge is for the slower but longer reaching shots, as I feel as though it’s difficult to know when you transition between the 2 modes of fire 10. Give glooga dualies increase accuracy after a roll and reduce ink consumption of rolls by 1% 11. Give nautilus 47 a good frickin kit and get rid of that stupid point sensor 12. Add squid beats back into splatoon, please Nintendo Some of these seem too major of a buff such as giving all non-bomb subs point sensor, but if balanced in a way it would be nice to get rid of point sensor.

Id love some buffs to the splattershot pro. It fell at the end of splatoon 2, the main weapon stayed the same while the kit got worse. It also lost mpu. Plus its just outclassed seeing as weapons like the splattershot are better at close range while weapons like the squeezer are better mid range weapons. The fire rate buff mentioned would be great and maybe a slight ink usage buff could be made

The tenta special buildup nerf makes sense, based on 5.1, cause the special is technically still active(?) Like 5.1. Also... if I may pull so unashamedly from Overwatch, the Sprinkler change sorta makes sense. Symmetra's tureets usually have two icons for placement status, one is active, and one is stationary. The active status reminder is in your "field of view" while ignoring line of sight, so if you turn away completely the icon disappears. It would be much better that way as to make sure your screen is not as cluttered. And just drop the static reminder idea cause why would you have that, you can only put one sprinkler down at a time. Also I would love to see more unique kits come out or if we're gonna be stuck for a bit longer, these changes would be nice to see. I'm using the Nautilus Splatling right now and it's decent. I don't win every match, but it's good enough that I find that it's a good trade. I just didn't want to play a shooter class weapon cause you can sometimes never get out of that circle.

From what you show, this are my own little balance things, I'm just a casual so take it with a bit of salt :P 2:15 - I would personally do it more of that the "Deciding Phase" (which has a gradual special gauge decrease) of Tenta-Missiles still goes on even after firing them, but honestly I think it wouldn't work because of Special Power Up increasing the deciding phase and that would be like the only special who gets hurt by their own Power Up lmao... Also the direct damage just make it to 90 pts. and everything else unchanged bc i feel like its like a lil too extreme for me. (But yeah 3 lock-ons at maximum, and only being able to target at enemy when on the Tenta-Missiles user's sight, and that you can't hide with just swimming, only behind walls) 5:10 - And also that the AOE should disappear once it sticks to an enemy, to give it more depth y'know? 5:30 - Idk if it would be way too powerful but also making it so the sprinkler doesn't disappear when the user gets splatted maybe? It feels like tat would be way too good and too annoying for Zones and Turf... 6:00 - i would just revert it back to just 2 mains of each. I don't like how the 4 AP left gets added at the end of the gradual increase, so everything is 1 AP per point from 50 until 30, also is now on par with Comeback (10 AP) and Op. Gambit (30 AP) 6:25 - For Opening Gambit i agree with the 60 secs length... but... i would make it like LDE as in make it so there's a gradual decrease of AP (1 AP per point) until it hits 60, of course when splatting someone during the timer, it resets the gradual decrease back to 0 (or 100% depends on how u see it) and adds the timer with 10 seconds too! Although i feel like if it gets the LDE treatment of Iin competitive matches: Op. Gambit is active from 70-40 points in BOTH counters, until one runs out and the effects disappears, of course if a counter runs out before the 60 seconds end, then that goes into account. 7:10 - I would give like 1-2 frames less of endlag when tap-firing quickly, also buff the hold duration from 5 to 6.3 seconds (Haha Splatoon 3 Number funny.) The Sub-Weapon thing seems too strong idk imo

I played a lot of Jet Squelcher and Splattershot Pro in 1 and 2, and while I have played them a reasonable bit in 3, angle shooter is a big reason why I don’t play them more. Additional damage isn’t what angle shooter needs… it needs to cost less ink to deploy (30% instead of 40%) and last significantly longer… not the time people are tracked (6s), but the time the angle shooter is active on the field (6s or 8s instead of 2s). The angle shooter isn’t about dealing damage, it’s about tracking players and trying to stifle their movement.

Personally, I’d like to see the line marker get a buff - it’s such an interesting idea but is so weak in the face of point sensor. I’d make it so that ricochets add to it’s range (up to a maximum) so that people are incentivized to make big brain plays. Also, if it’s close enough to the ground it should also mark people who are trying to swim under the beam.

@@CameronM no, the fact that you cant swim afterwards means that its a strat for the whole team to shoot the vacuum and fill it, so there is teamwork leading to counterplay for the specials which is better than ink armour where the enemies have no impact and there is alack of counterplay. for inkstrike being able to go into ink gives room for the user to think and look without being at as much risk; however, i can see why they didnt let triple inkstrike users go into the ink to build opportunity for even more counterplay as that was the problem in splatoon 2 with a lack of fightable specials.
