@@Neyobe No, I meant if he would animate a cartoon demonstrating how to do a problem with animals and such. So kids have a visual representation of math.
I absolutely agree with the whole “teachers should teach things in interesting ways” thing because my Algebra 1 teacher told us a story for how to simplify square roots, it involved the numbers being in jail, some of them busted out, some didn’t, and for every number that busted out, another of that same number died. Obviously it was a bit more complicated than that, but that was the basic essence, and I never forgot how to simplify square roots. (Cube roots were the same but with 2 numbers dying for every one of the same number that busted out.)
My maths teacher made us stand up and used rugby to explain about the gradients and graphs by “rugby tackling” a student to show us the y-intercept. It was funny cos he chose the kid I hated the most. He was and ex-rugby coach and he didn’t harm the student ofc.
Our teacher said that It was a party, and when you factored the number inside the root, if there were 2 (for a square root, three for a cubic root, etc) like a “group of friends” they got to go to the dance (outside the square root) and everyone else had to stay at home (inside the square root) Idk if that made sense or not, but I tried to explain it
I'll prove its possible to make lots o cash by doodling, Akira Toriyama, the creator of DBZ and Dr. Slump. Tite Kubo, the creator of Bleach. Just to name a couple
Mine is going to be the one from Percy Jackson about crawling through Tartarus. Or maybe the one about waiting in Harry Potter about waiting in Azkaban. We’ll see...
Honestly people underestimate the French teachers like that. We had a French teacher like that and honestly she was one of the sweetest, most conscientious and hard-working teachers ever. A lot of people hated her and said they didn't understand, but I paid attention to what she said, and she'd start translating every now and then, and I still remember a little bit of French from back then. I think it's the students' fault
No actually, this is my senior year and my first year I’ve actually gotten and understanding fully of concepts to where I feel comfortable going forward in the worksheet, figuring stuff out on my own, and finding different ways to get to answers as well as the ways she teaches us. I think in part this is due to both my want to get my gpa up for uni but also because she doesn’t just teach the real smart kids. She pays attention to all and when our class average is high, that’s important.
8th grade math teacher. He never yelled at a student, always brought them out the class to talk, gave people multiple chances. He also makes learning interesting. He puts his own flare in his work, and i have so much respect for him.
"If my channel died" RU-vid: SO YOUR WONDERING IF YOUR CHANNEL IS GONNA DIE EH!?!??! Odd: Yeah RU-vid: HERES FUCKING #1 ON TRENDING YOUR CHANNEL AINT EVER GONNA DIE!!!
Learning that the French words was actually a rickroll reminded me of a time at super summer last year (pretty much summer camp from Monday to Friday) we were doing a dance competition with some of the workers being judges and after one song which surprise surprise was a Rick roll one of the judges said out of my entire life this is the last place I was expecting to be Rick rolled
Watching this again in my last year of highschool, I can't relate more to the French bit. I loved French in 8th grade, but slowly began to hate it -and unironically by association the Country- slowly from 10th / 11th grade. Three years guys, and all I know how to say is hello.
I'm in my final year of high school too and in year 7 we had this old strict teacher for French and we all hated her which made me hate learning French so I chose Japanese instead until year 10 when it wasn't compulsory
FRENCH TRANSLATIONS 3:28 that translates to "are you looking for this or do you just know how to speak French" (google translate is shitty sometimes) 3:32 translates to "We are not strangers to love to know the rules, and so do I" 3:41 his sister translates to "my name is Jeff" the one to the left of James translates to "French pineapples should not be on pizza" the very right one is a pronunciation of "s'il vous plaît" which translates to "please" 3:43 translates to the bee movie script 4:05 translates to "i like it"
I laughed so hard when the teacher said he’d never missed a class in 20 years and then he didn’t show up the next day. It’s just perfect comedic timing.
had that happen with a teacher, she was like "i've only ever missed a class once because i was in hospital" and then next class she wasn't there lmao (cos her daughter was ill)
I thought that the teacher did it as a joke. Every year, we would tell his students "I haven't missed a class in x years." And then not appear the next day.
I love my history teacher cuz he's so funny and would joke around with everyone and never picks favourites. OK he does pick favs. He's cool and chill with us bcz my class is the straight A students
1:35 I can attest to that. I once read a quora post where a teacher was helping a student with something and she saw another child in class that had a gun and called in a security guard to help, which just goes to show how protective teachers can be of their children and they don't even get paid! I remember writing a persuasive speech on this in yr 11 because I was genuinely passionate about it and wanted teachers and childcare workers to get paid better and be appreciated more Praise to all teachers and childcare workers
Anime Fangirl my maths teacher sucked, she turned me, a B+ student into an F student. she was a lazy piece of shit who didn't know the course and even admitted not knowing it and kept saying it was a learning experience for us all, spent the whole class trying to do a problem and almost always got it wrong, we frequenly corrected her when she made really stupid mistakes, when she got the question wrong she blamed us for no reason. when ever I told people that my maths teacher sucked they kept telling me it was up to me to learn the material and I cant blame my teacher for not knowing the material, I wanted to hit single person who said that😥😥😥😥. you are one lucky person or I'm one unlucky person
Tbh the biggest compliment i got from a teacher,at least one that echoed on me was during art class and we had to make a painting with acrylic paint, and when i finished the art techer told me that i can remake the painting's Layout because she liked it and the paint kinda destroyed the details
That 15 minute rule in college is actually kind of a thing. I looked it up and it said that it is an unwritten rule that if the teacher doesn't show up in the first 15 minutes then most of the students if not all will end up leaving and the teachers cant do really anything if they arrive past the point that students can leave. :)
I would have loved to have James as my maths teacher. Growing up with dyscalculia and there not being as much if any attention and help for it as dyslexia made my school days quite difficult for me and I still struggle with basic calculations. James strikes me as the type of teacher who would support me through it.
The thing about that one person saying ‘there’s a rule that if the teacher doesn’t show up in the first 15 minutes you can leave’ IS SO RELATABLE it ALWAYS happened when the teacher was late to class
Choir teacher: “what da flip? 72 million views!! I have doubted you James!” *Turns out it was all just a dream* James: “life isn’t fun any more” Edit: 73 million views now. Wooow🤯🤪🤪😃
Yeah my math teacher gives us an online thing that we had never done and then we would just fail it andbthen she would show us how to do it so we didn't enjoy her that much
I had a teacher who taught me 8th grade social studies she was amazing and I still think about her to this day she taught her lessons using memes let us make sushi let us behead someone (fake) did all sorts of ‘roll playing’ for different units and never used florescent lights only dim lighting ❤
To those who advertise their channel in the comments of peoples' videos: Give up. 1/4,000,000 people with a RU-vid channel actually make it big and I guarantee you that 100% of them that did make it big didn't beg for subscribers. So stop. Try making quality content and letting people find your channel on their own. That's worked for everyone who's ever done well on RU-vid.
I checked out your channel since I appreciate this comment, and I was BLOWN AWAY! Your videos cracked me up SO HARD, especially your True Motives ones! You deserve tons more subscribers!
There are two varietis of teachers- 1) The despots who claim they want to help you, only to crush your spirit AND your dreams 2) The mythical 'good' teacher, a variety that, while many have claimed to witness it, DOES NOT EXIST
I had a math teacher who left in the middle of my fourth grade. He made learning fractions so fun. (High cap) After he left, it was never the same. We would do bingo every other friday and watch good mythical morning around holidays. If you read this, I missed you, Mr. Knapp. ❤️
At 3:27 The Board Is Actually In French, And It Translates To 'Did you search for this, or do you just know how to speak French?'. Nice Attention To Detail James From 6 Years Ago
Same,I would focus 100% since he makes everything interesting, hell he could do a one hour video of him narrating and animating someone watching paint dry and I would find it instresting
My favorite teacher is my current ELA teacher. We have an end of year project where we have to make a project based on something we love. We can do any topic as long as we feel a strong passion towards it, and we can do any format. What I’ve done for it is some of my best damn work in all 8 years of school I’ve done (8th grade) partly because it’s about something I love, and partly because my teacher is so amazing. If this is the last assignment im going to turn into her before going to high school where she won’t be a part of my day im going to make this assignment amazing. If every teacher could make class so amazing that a student will spend all their free time completely absorbed in a school project without any prompting they’re doing something right (im generally a very “lazy student” aka, ADHD we love it dont we?)
2:55 very true. I normally don't like math and don't do well in it. In fact I have completely blocked out most of my 7th and all of my 8th grade math. But my math teacher I have this year is amazing. He makes everything so simple. And he makes some assignments as puzzles and I love puzzles.
It took me a year to realise the “count to ten” joke. You know how he says the French numbers like an English noob (Neuf - Nerf)? Well 10 is actually Dix and if he said it in English it would sound like dic-
In 7th grade I had 3 math teachers, One in the fall, one in December early January, then they finally got someone stable, I haven’t even talked how I had 4 ELA teachers in 4 months
Yea my science teacher gave me my love of chemistry and always being curious. I was a terrible student but he never batted an eye as long as I tried. Was also a captain at army cadets so I had to be good or he punished me there lol
I left class once because of the 15 minute rule but saw my professor walking up the stairs. So i sprinted to the bathroom and acted like that was where I was the whole time (since I came back to class with my backpack). To this day he thinks I have pooping problems.
I can relate when James said he thought his teacher lived at the school. I suspected that to in kindergarten and thought "If teacher lives here and its a job than all people sleep at their jobs."
