Ahh that’s great just the video I needed, probably gone through a dozen previous how to videos your the one who solved it for me. Thank you chap you’re a star. One tip, five minutes and four quick easy bolts removes the drivers seat making it so much easier for the not so good contortionists for some of us with the heavier waste lines.

Ah that's great! Glad you found it useful. Yes, removing the seat is a smart idea, it did occur to me afterwards! Oh well, a bit of yoga practice can't hurt I suppose 😄

I've got to do the clutch master cylinder on my 1991 Eunos. Well done for showing the removal of the inside nut. I think I'll take out the driver's seat though!! I have already replaced the hard line with a flexible braided line which just drops straight down to the slave cylinder. I think possibly that the hard line is so long as the main sales market was is the US so they have the clutch mechanism on the other side of the car and the RHD version got the added hard line as a conversion (?). Anyway keep up great videos as owning an MX5 isn't all about modifications or forced induction (although mine does have a turbo!).

Thanks! Yeah I think you're right on the LHD / RHD thing, I guess they maybe wanted to keep the length consistent for both. Hope your job goes well

I haven't done this job yet, but according to Rod's manual, if you remove the clutch master cylinder caps, and fix a sheet of cling film over the top, it should help with the fluid not leaking out the end of the pipe when it's time to reconnect it to the slave cylinder.

So American spec Miatas have both master cylinder nuts in the engine compartment. U don't go inside. Yours is a pain. Lol
