Great stuff, thanks for sharing. Very cool to see that you dropped your supplement intake by such a degree. I gotta admit though, I did you a disservice and thought that you contradicted yourself in a recent video where you stated that you dislike mutlivitamins due to potentially unknown interactions of all the different components, because I had downloaded your supplement list like 3 or so months ago where you still took over 60 different supplements.

While experiencing quite a bit of pain and difficulty walking, I started taking turmeric juice, 1 tablespoon added to a ginger shot every morning, and my pain has decreased dramatically. I am 72 so it seems unlikely that I would suddenly recover from this injury to this extent, to the point where I no longer need NSAIDs to control the pain. Thoughts?

My theory is that it could be a side effect of the vaccine. From what I could find online is that the lower diastollic BH can lead to heart failure, but I think this applies only to older people. How real is V02 max as a correlate with life expectancy? Olympic Marathoners only live 4. 5 years longer than the general population. The life expectancy of sub 4 minute milers was just measured in a study. The sub 4 minute milers only got about 4.7 added years. When you compare the life expectancy of vo2 max monsters to daily walkers, I don't think you will see that much of a difference.. Maybe a year in terms of life expectancy.?
@Therevolution7
@Therevolution7 2 месяца назад
It might be that the low muscle mass of marathoners negatively affect their lifespan as they get older in terms of say, grip strength, just supposin It might be good to compare Sprinters ( who have both a High VO2max and High muscle mass, ) against the general population

@jackbuaer3828
@jackbuaer3828 2 месяца назад
The period measured was each Olympics between 1928 and 1948. so it's unlikely PEDs played a role in the early death of sprinters. Training like an Olympic level sprinter (at least using the training techniques during the aforementioned period) would seem like a way to shorten your life.
@iloled2924
@iloled2924 2 месяца назад
Youre trying to superimpose lower quality indirect observational data with countless confounding variables onto higher quality data (studies on VO2 max). Olympic athletes, particularly those from the early 20th century, did not necessarily have healthier habits than the general population, and it also isnt clear that they make an effort to maintain their VO2 max throughout their life. Also, there is a massive difference between achieving a VO2 max in the top 2.5% versus being an “Olympic Athlete”. You start getting vastly diminishing returns on All Cause Mortality and possibly even negative returns when you start approaching Olympic Athlete levels of various fitness measures.

Potatoes are very high carb - higher carb foods make you hungrier..
@astonuk9403
@astonuk9403 2 месяца назад
The notion that carbohydrates inherently promote hunger deserves a closer look. Baked potatoes, rich in complex carbohydrates, exemplify this. They reign supreme on the satiety index, a well-established metric for a food's ability to induce satiety. These resistant starch molecules reach the large intestine intact, promoting satiety through gut hormone release and influencing gut motility. Beyond satiety, potatoes offer unique health benefits. They contain chlorogenic and caffeic acid, beneficial antioxidants also found in coffee, green tea, and apples. Studies suggest these antioxidants may offer various health advantages, including reduced inflammation, improved blood sugar control, and even potential neuroprotective effects. It's crucial to distinguish between the inherent properties of the potato and its often-unhealthy accompaniments. Condiments like butter and sour cream can transform a healthy potato into a calorie and sodium bomb. A balanced and satiating meal can be achieved by pairing your potato with lean protein sources and healthy fats like avocado or olive oil. The realm of satiety-promoting complex carbohydrates extends beyond potatoes. Oats, brown pasta, baked beans, and even oranges all contribute to the impressive list of satiety-promoting options.

@@torgoron9695 Barbell Medicine has compiled a good list of studies comparing animal and plant protein in terms of strength and hypertrophy. The studies reference different plant protein sources. Plant protein performs almost as good as whey in most of the studies . See Barbell Medicine Guide to Protein, By Jordan Feigenbaum, May 28, 2021. You can find it with Google.

try googling "whey, pea, and soy protein supplements can vary from 72-84%, 77-81% protein, and 61-91%, respectively." and you may be able to find a resource with multiple studies.

What I don't understand is with your family history, why you aren't investigating the link between red meat and cancer? Meat is the number #1 cause of bowel cancer and also a major cause of colon cancer. Really hoping you'll offer a protocol for plant-based/vegan eaters one day. TY x

@@Rabbitunderground i eat organic meat from germany, so no antibiotics, no hormones, free range... .I think with the amount of fiber i eat im fine with digesting meat. And also i think its very hard to get the rda's of multiple nutrients (checked it with cronometer) so im fine with little slower digestion. A bigger concern i have with meat (sat fat) is cardiovascular health

@@joshuaeisenberger4975 You may wish to also investigate how often diseased animals (cancer etc) or their body parts get eaten. Organically fed animals still get disease.
@joshuaeisenberger4975
@joshuaeisenberger4975 2 месяца назад
@@Rabbitunderground thank you i did that. So eating cancer will not cause cancer. It changes the texture of the meat which is the reason why its not getting sold in germany. Also its very hard to get meat with bacteria here, which you can easily destroy by cooking. The most commen illneses are broken legs in chickens, slow cows and respiratory diseas in pigs. There is no diffrents found between products from those animals compared to healthy ones. Sure it could be epigenetic changes or something similiar we dont know about but again this is to less to risk missing out on important nutrients
