Nav is so convenient for me I'll never go without it also love the ford pass very nice when you go away for weeks and want to keep the battery charged engine oiled
The blue color looks bad ass with black [anodized] chrome and tan interior seats...dash, etc. That's the route that I would go minus the engine block heater.
I wouldn't get the run running boards because the step in height is not that bad. If you decide later on that you need them, they are much cheaper to buy aftermarket and they are very easy to install.
Looks great! I don't know about your requirements for passengers (family, child seats, etc.) but if this is your first truck and you don't see yourself hauling around adults in the rear seats, I would recommend getting the extended cab (vise crew cab). The beds on these are already a bit small and getting the extended cab would give you one more foot of bed length that would really come in handy if you're going to haul around things like bicycles or dirt bikes. Six feet of bed is nice for toting around things like that...and the extended cab is $2,175 cheaper. However, if you have a family and will get getting in and out of the back a lot, or hauling around adults in the back...then the crew cab would offer more room there. I guess it depends on how you're going to be using it. Good luck!
Good points. Unfortunately I think the Lariat trim only comes on the crew cab with the smaller bed. I'd have to double check but I think that you'd have to get a lower trim for the smaller cab and bigger bed.
Hi Mechonomist. Good news...I just checked on the Ford build site and it does allow the extended cab in Lariat. It defaulted to crewcab but it let me change it to extended cab. So, you have two configurations from which to choose. And if you choose the extended cab...you can get more bed and lower price! Either configuration looks nice. Wish you luck to get the one that fits you best.
Nah. The cab you selected is good. Nice to have extra interior room for storage since there's no trunk. Or trunks if you're used to having a frunk lol. I have the four doors and it really comes in handy sometimes with the extra room back there. And I can haul most anything in the short bed. They offer a bed extender cage if needed.
Buck-I agree the interior room is nice but it really depends on what he's going to haul and how he is going to use it. If he has a family of four or is going to be having adult passengers back there, the crew cab is certainly the way to go. If he's hauling around dirt bikes (like I do), a 5' bed will stink...that extra foot means the world. If he's hauling around large sports gear bags, I would still get the crewcab and get a hard locking cover for the back instead of throwing stuff like that all over the nice leather seats. Again, both are great options but it depends entirely on what he wants to haul inside the cab and what he wants to throw in the back. I guess it would be better if we knew more about how he's gonna use it instead of us two guys guessing. Either way, I think he'll love it. Wish I could get a new truck now but my old truck will have to last a few more years until I can be in a position to get one.
Good comments, so many of the trucks I see are crew cabs that this build will be more popular with people. I think he has optioned it pretty well for what most people want in a family truckster. The Cayman is my primary interest but this is a big deal for the US market, well done.
That looks badass! Price goes up quickly from Base price lol geez. I've got a Cayman and a double cab Tacoma so this is going to be right up my alley. Can't wait to see it. Great choice as a lot of people will be interested since it's all new in US.

Nice choice. All these videos about the return of the Ranger has me a little pumped. My pocket isn't as deep as yours so I picked the extended cab XLT sport FX4 hot pepper red. I buy a new truck every 20 years lol and my current SR5 Tundra is still just braking in. Looks great, rides awesome. BUT, it's time. Plus, she's a gas sucker V8. No gizmo's. This Ranger is very comparable to what I drive now. I think it will be a good fit. I'm a master technician, and from what I see in today's Fords, they're as reliable as the Toyota's of yesterday. This will be a well built long lasting truck. But maintenance is key! I'm going to hold out and wait for dealer lots to fill up a bit and maybe see some Ford incentives by summer. So what's the delivery time since ordering? Good luck with it.

Web Gem Right?! I got a 2012 FX4 F150 SuperCrew 5.0 in blue that cost me less than that brand new. Since then, Ford just keeps jacking up prices while delivering less. Ok, aluminum frame, and inflation... but I wouldn’t be able to get a new F150 with comparable features without having to consider a Range Rover or a Suburban. In fact, I can get a comparable Ram 1500 Big Horn brand new for less than the price I paid for my current truck 6 years ago. Ford is starting to really disappoint.
