Sounds like things are going really well. I always looked at being resourceful like you are as a challenge to "beat the system." Every time I was able to solve a problem without spending money, I'd say to myself "Yeah! I beat the system!" ✊️✊️😁❤
Half way through… I just really want you to know how much I appreciate your videos. Somehow you always speak what I’ve been feeling. It’s comforting to know others are feeling/going through some of the same thought processes. Your videos have also opened my eyes to a lot of bullshit that needed to be seen (within myself) and I just really enjoy and appreciate your videos. I look forward to them and re watch them a couple times to fully take in what was said. ♥️
Cheering you on 🌟 doing it by zodiac seasons instead of by month makes so much sense, as it's also removing the "payday" stress, or at least that's something I struggle with in my shopping addiction. I don't know if that makes sense for anyone else 😅
Greetings from Argentina! ❤ Thank you so much for your words, reflections and inspiration. Ive been feeling like this all 2023 and then ive found your video about overconsumption of tarot decks and that put into words how sofocated i had felt when it comes to buying too much without needing it and also seeing it take so much space, it made me feel so anxious, not happy at all. I live in latinamerica and a country that is very unstable economically, nevertheless i didn't have financial issues but started working remote and as a freelancer so i guess online shopping became like my friend, to combat loneliness. What resonated with me the most about what you expressed back then was spending more than what i was earning, that lack of discipline bothered me the most I'm learning to let go and be more resourceful. Thank you for the content ❤❤❤
Really interesting. The books you talked about sound very interesting. I am knitting birthday presents for family and friends at the moment. Fingerless mitts and hot-water bottle covers. Knitting is my happy place. I really enjoy and value your honesty. From my perspective it's good to let consumerism go because when the dust settles you can see what's important in your life. Four birthdays in two weeks, including my own. Capricorn season is really busy for me every year!
Seeing lovely things and going 'I'm glad you like it' instead of feeling I need them is the best thing. I still love decks and will acquire more, but a deck has to clear a very high bar these days before it will stay in my life. (I will buy cheap decks, play with them a bit, and pass them on again: For the price of a cinema ticket I expect two hours entertainment.)
I really enjoy that one. I did cut sugar from my food alot and also discovered that my mouth taste better too. Then it makes sense, bacterias feeds on sugar so less sugar, less bacterias better breath... 😊
Sounds like this has been a really good feeling so far. It brought to mind a convo my step mum and I had about when there were less shopping options per item, how much more seemless it was. Less about finding the perfect thing. Just something didn't feel as high octane about the whole experience. Not that variety is a bad thing. But sometimes the level of it, and the hours of searching, as you say. We laugh about how many kettle choices does the world really need. As an example. So was interesting to hear your musings around this too.
There’s a great book about this very concept called “the paradox of choice”. Essentially, humans are happy with a few choices, but with a LOT of choices there’s diminishing returns.
@@MixtressRae oh that’s interesting. I’ll have a nosey. It’s definitely something I see come up more and more in today’s society. Clients have more choice paralysis for sure.
Another member of the Purple Pen Club! 💜 I just got another 2 fountain pens. One was a gift; the other was my work bonus present to myself. It's the ink where I now have problems 😅 so many inks so little time.... (eta I need to make lists like yours fr, keep me accountable. Great job!)
Good for you on cutting added sugar! I started doing that back in August and just continued after that! I'm not perfect with it, but every corner I can cut counts (monk fruit sweetener in tea, sugar free coffee creamer, sugar free treats, etc.) Let me know if you want suggestions! I've stumbled on some great brands and sugar free alternatives! (also some you want to AVOID at all costs! LOL!)
This string of emojis perfectly expresses your thoughts, Sorsha. 😎 (just in case someone sees this and thinks I’m being sarcastic, I’m not! I suck at sarcasm.)
I’m sorry regarding the grief you’re going through with the loss of your ex. I think you sound really healthy and balanced despite that though, and I’m really happy for you. Good work, be proud. 🩵🩵🩵🩵🦢Thanks for the inspiring hang out. I aspire to do better with my own issues. Always rooting for ya ✌🏼 PS def gonna pay attention to this added sugar thing! Thanks for the tip. 😯 I think a general goal of mine this year is going to be focusing on physical strength and health.
